Podocinum tianmonum Liang 1992
Podocinum tianmonum Liang, 1992 Podocinum tinamuoe Liang, 1992: 237 (lapsus) Podocinum tianmuense — Liang, 1993: 57; Ho et al., 2009: 89; Yan et al., 2011: 55 (incorrect subsequent spelling) Distribution: China (Zhejiang, Mt. Tianmu). Notes. The name of this species is spelled P. tianmuoe where it first appears on page 237 of Liang (1992). However, this species is listed as P. tianmonum in two places in the index to the book in which this species was described (Yin, 1992, pages 583 and 614). We therefore interpret P. tianmonum as the correct name of the species, and P. tianmuoe as a printing or translation error. It appears that Liang (1992) was accidentally published before the formal description of this species in Liang (1993).Published as part of Yan, Yi, Jin, Dao-Chao, Wu, Dian, Guo, Jian-Jun & Guo, Xian-Guo, 2012, A revised checklist and key to the genus Podocinum Berlese (Acari: Podocinidae) with description of a new species from Tibet, Southwest China, pp. 35-48 in Zootaxa 3194 on pages 44-45, DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.21132
