Objective To observe the clinical effect of the external use of Xiaoding ointment in the treatment of swelling around arteriovenous fistula sites in patients with hemodialysis. Methods A total of 112 patients with swelling around arteriovenous fistula sites during hemodialysis treatment were randomly divided into the experimental group and the control group according to the random number table, with 56 cases in each group. The control group received external application of Hirudiod, and the experimental group received external application of Xiaoding ointment. The swelling degree score, swelling range score and visual anlogue pain score (VAS) before and after treatment were measured, and clinical effect of the different treatments on relieving swelling around arteriovenous fistula sits was compared between two groups. Results After treatment, the scores of swelling degree, swelling range and VAS in the two groups at different times were lower than those before treatment (P<0. 01), and the efficacy of the treatment in the experimental group was better than that of the control group (P<0. 01). Conclusion Xiaoding ointment is a kind of traditional Chinese medicine preparation that can relieve swelling, improve pain and improve clinical efficacy of patients with arteriovenous fistula for hemodialysis. The Economic Consequences of IPO Spinning

Using a sample of fifty-six companies going public in 1996--2000 in which top executives received allocations of other hot initial public offerings (IPOs) from the bookrunner, a practice known as spinning, we examine the consequences of spinning. The fifty-six IPOs had first-day returns that were, on average, 23% higher than similar IPOs. The profits collected by these executives were only a small fraction of the incremental amount of money left on the table by their companies when they went public. These companies were dramatically less likely to switch investment bankers in a follow-on offer: only 6% of issuers whose executives were spun switched underwriters, whereas 31% of other issuers switched. These findings suggest that the spinning of executives accomplished its goal of affecting corporate decisions. The Author 2010. Restoration Strategy Based on Optimal Relay Node Placement in Wireless Sensor Networks

In wireless sensor networks (WSNs), connecting disjoint segments is significant for network restoration, especially in some mission critical applications. However, the variability of distances between disjoint segments has tremendous influence on relay nodes deployment. In fact, finding the optimal solution for connecting disjoint segments in terms of the number and positions of relay nodes is NP-hard. To address this issue, plenty of heuristics, such as STP-MSP (Cheng et al., 2008), MST-1 t RN (Lloyd et al., 2007), and CORP (Lee and Younis, 2010) are deeply pursued. In this paper, we propose a distributed restoration algorithm based on optimal relay node placement (simply, ORNP). It aims at federating separated segments by populating the minimum number of relay nodes in a WSN that has suffered a significant damage. In addition, both of complexity and upper bound of the relay count for ORNP are explored. The simulation results show that ORNP performs better than STP-MSP, MST-1 t RN, and CORP in terms of relay count and the connectivity of resulting topology

A Straight Skeleton Based Connectivity Restoration Strategy in the Presence of Obstacles for WSNs

Connectivity has significance in both of data collection and aggregation for Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). Once the connectivity is lost, relay nodes are deployed to build a Steiner Minimal Tree (SMT) such that the inter-component connection is reestablished. In recent years, there has been a growing interest in connectivity restoration problems. In previous works, the deployment area of a WSN is assumed to be flat without obstacles. However, such an assumption is not realistic. In addition, most of the existing strategies chose the representative of each component, which serves as the starting point of relay node deployment during the connectivity restoration, either in a random way or in the shortest-distance based manner. In fact, both ways of representative selection could potentially increase the length of the SMT such that more relay nodes are required. In this paper, a novel connectivity restoration strategy is proposed—Obstacle–Avoid connectivity restoration strategy based on Straight Skeletons (OASS), which employs both the polygon based representative selection with the presence of obstacles and the straight skeleton based SMT establishment. The OASS is proved to be a 3- o p t approximation algorithm with the complexity of O ( n log n ) , and the approximation ratio can reduce to 3 3 2 while it satisfies a certain condition. The theoretical analysis and simulations show that the performance of the OASS is better than other strategies in terms of the relay count and the quality of the established topology (i.e., distances between components, delivery latency and balanced traffic load) as well

The Impact of Clothing E-Store Image on Intention Based on Search and Purchase Phases: From the Perspective of Sustainable Marketing

With the continuous emergence of global warming and excessive waste of resources, especially in the clothing industry, sustainable clothing has become a fast-moving consumer goods trend. As a necessity of life, clothing often sensitively reflects the fashion, the characteristics of the times and, for young people, their lifestyle. Intelligent, cultural and sustainable clothing has become the mainstream development trend of the clothing industry. Based on the theory of reasoned action, this research takes online clothing stores as the research object and constructs the effect model between e-store image, consumer attitude and intention, and verifies the impact of e-store image on consumers’ intention in the two important stages of information search and purchase. By distributing online questionnaires to consumers of online clothing stores, 823 questionnaires were finally effectively recovered. The hypothesis was verified using a multi-statistical analysis and structural equation model. The findings showed that for young consumers, in the information search stage, the three dimensions of e-store image, which are information, atmosphere and convenience, positively affect consumers’ search intention. Meanwhile, in the purchase stage, the three dimensions of e-store image, which are enjoyment, uncertainty and service, have a significant impact on consumers’ purchase intention. Particularly, consumer attitude plays a mediating role between different dimensions and intentions. According to the constructed consumer attitude model, we should propose these sustainable marketing suggestions for online clothing stores: First of all, online clothing store operators should improve the atmosphere, convenience and information image of electronic stores, establish a sustainable image, and enhance young consumer’s identity. Secondly, using multiple marketing methods, we can establish an unimpeded one-to-one interaction with young customers through the current popular live broadcast marketing, improve the enjoyment of stores, more specifically implement marketing strategies, and strengthen the sense of sustainability
