ANÁLISE DA TRADUÇÃO POÉTICA DE CHINÊS PARA PORTUGUÊS À LUZ DA TEORIA DE PAULO HENRIQUES BRITTO - O CASO DO POEMA DE LI BAI
This paper aims to analyze the translation of Li Bai\u27s classic Chinese poem The Jewel Stairs\u27 Grievance by Brazilian poet Haroldo de Campos, in light of Paulo Henriques Britto\u27s translation theory. Using a qualitative and comparative approach, three essential aspects of poetic translation are examined—form, rhyme and imagery—with a focus on the compensation strategy employed to to deal with losses resulting from linguistic and cultural differences between Chinese and Portuguese. The results reveal that, although the translation departs from the traditional structure of the original, Campos succeeds in preserving the emotional charge and poetic impact of the source text through formal and imagery recreations. Thus, Campos\u27 translation is not a mere linguistic transposition, but a poetic reinterpretation that balances fidelity and creativity, contributing to the reflection on the possibilities and limits of translating classical Chinese poetry into Portuguese.O presente trabalho tem como objetivo analisar a tradução do poema clássico chinês Degraus da Escada de Jade, de Li Bai, realizada pelo poeta brasileiro Haroldo de Campos, à luz da teoria de tradução de Paulo Henriques Britto.
Report on the 38th International Conference on Sino-Tibetan Languages and Linguistics (ICSTLL)
As October 2005 drew to a close, Xiamen University of Fujian, China opened its doors and stepped forward as a thoroughly gracious and thoughtful host of the 38th International Conference on Sino-Tibetan Languages and Linguistics. Professors Li Rulong, Sun Hongkai, and Dai Qingxia chaired the conference, and over 160 participants from more than 60 universities and research institutes around the world attended the event. The conference participants hailed from a dozen or more countries, including China, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Korea, Australia, Sweden, France, Canada, and the USA. They presented data, analysis, and comparisons on nearly 100 distinct languages and dialects spoken in the Sino-Tibetan macro-region.Published versio

Optimal control and nonlinear programming
In this thesis, we have two distinct but related subjects: optimal control and nonlinear programming. In the first part of this thesis, we prove that the value function, propagated from initial or terminal costs, and constraints, in the form of a differential equation, satisfy a subgradient form of the Hamilton-Jacobi equation in which the Hamiltonian is measurable with respect to time. In the second part of this thesis, we first construct a concrete example to demonstrate conjugate duality theory in vector optimization as developed by Tanino. We also define the normal cones corresponding to Tanino\u27s concept of the subgradient of a set valued mapping and derive some infimal convolution properties for convex set-valued mappings. Then we deduce necessary and sufficient conditions for maximizing an objective function with constraints subject to any convex, pointed and closed cone
Occupational status and health disparities among workers-An empirical study based on China health and nutrition survey data.
This study uses data from the China Health and Nutrition Survey (CHNS) in 2004, 2006, and 2015 and employs a fixed-effects model based on Driscoll-Kraay standard errors to investigate the impact of occupation type, employment type, and work unit type on workers' health and the underlying mechanisms. The main findings suggest that higher levels of occupation type and employment type are associated with better self-rated health among workers, but simultaneously increase the probability of chronic diseases, demonstrating a "dual effect" of occupational characteristics on health. Additionally, workers in the public sector have a higher probability of chronic diseases and lower self-rated health compared to those in the non-public sector. Furthermore, the impact of occupation type, employment type, and work unit type on health is greater for male workers than for female workers. The negative impact of an increase in occupation type on chronic diseases is significantly higher in the absence of overtime work and for workers engaged in moderate and heavy physical labor. The mechanism analysis reveals that work intensity, labor income, and work hours play a crucial role in explaining the impact of occupation on health, jointly accounting for a significant portion of the impact of employment type on chronic diseases, occupation type on self-rated health, and work unit type on self-rated health
