No full textGli interventi didattici rivolti alla promozione della salute in età evolutiva si svolgono in diversi ambiti, scuola, avviamento allo sport, centri fitness. Abitudini sedentarie e ridotte opportunità di praticare quotidianamente attività motorie, determinano una progressiva riduzione dei livelli di attività fisica, dell’efficienza fisica e del
repertorio di abilità motorie individuale.
La letteratura internazionale ha evidenziato la cosiddetta triade dell’inattività fisica in età evolutiva che
comprende 3 fattori distinti, ma in stretta correlazione tra loro: disturbi da deficit dell’esercizio, dynapenia
pediatrica, analfabetizzazione motoria. Tale fenomeno sollecita un ampliamento dei metodi e delle prove di
valutazione delle capacità ed abilità motorie: è necessario, infatti, un controllo sistematico del processo di
sviluppo motorio integrale degli allievi che comprende la valutazione posturale, al fine di promuovere
l’autopercezione del sé corporeo, individuare possibili disfunzioni che hanno effetti non solo sull’espressione di abilità motorie ma anche sul corretto funzionamento di organi, sistemi ed apparati e, soprattutto, sui loro rapporti

No full textL’attività motoria dell’uomo è espressione dell’unità della persona e coinvolge numerose e complementari funzioni che consentono la sopravvivenza dell’organismo, i processi di apprendimento e sviluppo motorio, lo sviluppo emotivo e sociale e l’adattamento all’ambiente.
Le misure orientate alla prevenzione delle patologie ed alla promozione della salute attraverso le attività motorie, realizzate dalla scuola e da enti ed istituzioni, richiedono la mediazione di figure professionali capaci di: progettare azioni rivolte alla persona nella sua globalità, individuare il problema, intervenire per la sua soluzione, valutare gli effetti dell’intervento metodologico. Emerge il bisogno di competenze interdisciplinari ed interprofessionali, al fine di personalizzare interventi ben sostenuti metodologicamente.
Il seguente contributo si propone di individuare ed analizzare le competenze, cioè abilità e conoscenze, di diversi professionisti che agiscono su un medesimo problema, la valutazione posturale. Attraverso l’analisi dei curricula universitari riguardanti diversi profili in uscita, studi e buone pratiche interprofessionali, gli Autori hanno ricostruito le competenze necessarie ad intervenire in modo complementare, superando i limiti di una comunicazione talvolta frantumata e poco adattata ai bisogni reali della persona.
Emerge la necessità di un approccio alla valutazione posturale in cui le competenze di diversi professionisti siano interconnesse ed orientate, considerando la centralità della persona e dei suoi bisogni. Emerge, altresì, il bisogno di interventi orientati-alla-persona basati su evidenze scientifiche (EBP).
La declinazione delle competenze professionali preposta, intorno alla valutazione posturale, indica legàmi e snodi scientifici (teoria) e professionali (pratica basata sulle evidenze), anche se molto resta da compiere sul piano normativo

No full textThis chapter describes the recordings of Vera Hall (1902–1964). On October 31, 1940, at the Livingston, Alabama, home of author, painter, and folksong collector Ruby Pickens Tartt, Vera sang “Another Man Done Gone” twice into Lomax's machine. During the first take, the partially filled recording blank ran out of space, abruptly ending the song. The second time, however, Lomax used a fresh side, allowing Vera to include all her verses. Just as she finished, but before he lifted the cutting arm and turned off the microphone, he remarked, “That's perfect.” Lomax's summation saluted more than an unmarred recording. “Another Man Done Gone” became Vera Hall's most celebrated performance. Carl Sandburg recalled listening to it more than a dozen consecutive times during a January 1944 visit to Lomax's Dallas home, later including it in his second folksong anthology and learning it himself. The poet termed it “one of the strikingly original creations of Negro singing art.”</p
Picking up after sloppy children: What pronouns reveal about children’s analysis of English comparative constructions
No full textWe present the results of an experiment that reveals that while children are capable of assigning an interpretation to basic comparatives without coreferential pronouns in the elided material, they diverge from adults precisely in the assignment of reference to a pronoun appearing in the standard. This study therefore sheds new light on the components of children's linguistic representations and their developing interpretation of comparatives. We close by discussing possible account for this set of results appealing to binding principles and the representation of the elided pronoun

Is a long time resident of the area firstly living in
the Cosmo area and more recently in the Village. She
has been an active member of the Alberta Woman's
Institute for 30 years, a Charter Member of the Cosmo
W. I., served the Sangudo W. I. in every capacity and
has held office at both the District and Provincial
level. She is an active member of her Church, a
member of Session and Secretary of the United Church
Women. She is Manager of the Sangudo Farmers' Market.
She is a strong supporter of the Agricultural Society,
and was responsible for organizing the Ethnic Supper
and following program during the Official Opening of
the Arena in May 1981. Last year she organized
Heritage Days in conjunction with the History Book
Society and the Village Council. She spent 2 years
of devoted effort in compiling and editing our Local
History Book the Lantern Era, as well as a homecoming
in 1979 when the book was unveiled. She is divisional
representative for the Red Cross, a Village Councillor
and a judge for 4H Public Speaking competitions. She
was also one of a group who with the support of the
Yellowhead Library Association brought about the
opening of the School Library for public use. Ladies
