First records in Spain and Sardinia of the alien species Halyomorpha halys (Stål, 1855), with notes on its distribution in Europe (Hemiptera, Pentatomidae). Abstract. The invasive alien Brown Marmorated Stink Bug Halyomorpha halys is reported for the first time in Spain, in Girona, and in Sardinia (Italy) in the town of Cagliari. In Europe this species was initially detected in 2004 in Switzerland. In Italy, where it is known since 2012, is currently widespread in Northern regions, with occasional records in central ones. Native to east Asia, H. halys has an extremely high potential as an invasive pest causing serious damage to many fruit, horticultural and ornamentals crops. Besides, it is a very annoying urban nuisance for the mass overwintering aggregations inside buildings. Status of Pandarus libanicus Desbrochers des Loges, 1881 Several authors considered Pandarus libanicus Desbrochers des Loges, 1881 as a junior synonym of D. lugens Mulsant & Rey, 1854 (e.g., Gebien 1938, Löbl et al. 2008, Iwan et al. 2020). However, as noted by Koch (1948) Pandarus libanicus is in fact a synonym of Dendarus calcaratus Baudi di Selve, 1881. Both species share the same locus typicus (Mount Lebanon in Lebanon) and are morphologically distinct from the Italian D. lugens (Mulsant & Rey).Published as part of Kamiński, Marcin Jan, Bouchard, Patrice, Leo, Piero & Iwan, Dariusz, 2021, On the type species of the genus Dendarus Dejean, 1821 (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae), pp. 575-580 in Zootaxa 5048 (4) on page 576, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.5048.4.6, http://zenodo.org/record/555680
