단위구상의 bergman 공간들에 대한 carleson 측도
학위논문(석사) - 한국과학기술원 : 응용수학과, 1990.2, [ [ii], 16, [2] p. ; ]A characterization of Carleson measures for the Bergman spaces on the ball Let E() denote the pseudo-hyperbolic disc of the unit disc D of the complex plane C. It is known that if and is a positive finite Borel measure on D, then the following two quantities are equivalent: \begin{eqnarray*}(i)& & \sup \{\int_D \mid f \mid^p d\mu/ \parallel f \parallel^p_{A^p} : f \in A^p(D),\; f \not\equiv 0 \}\\ (ii)& & \sup \{\mu(E(w,r))/m(E(w,r)) : w \in D \} \end{eqnarray*}\\ Where (D) denotes the Bergman space on D and m denotes the area measure on D. In this thesis, we extend this result to the unit ball of C.한국과학기술원 : 응용수학과
Role of the unique N-terminal domain of CtBP2 in determining the subcellular localisation of CtBP family proteins
BACKGROUND: CtBP1 and CtBP2 are transcriptional co-repressors that modulate the activity of a large number of transcriptional repressors via the recruitment of chromatin modifiers. Many CtBP-regulated proteins are involved in pathways associated with tumorigenesis, including TGF-beta and Wnt signalling pathways and cell cycle regulators such as RB/p130 and HDM2, as well as adenovirus E1A. CtBP1 and CtBP2 are highly similar proteins, although evidence is emerging that their activity can be differentially regulated, particularly through the control of their subcellular localisation. CtBP2s from diverse species contain a unique N-terminus, absent in CtBP1 that plays a key role in controlling the nuclear-cytoplasmic distribution of the protein.RESULTS: Here we show that amino acids (a.a.) 4-14 of CtBP2 direct CtBP2 into an almost exclusively nuclear distribution in cell lines of diverse origins. Whilst this sequence contains similarity to known nuclear localisation motifs, it cannot drive nuclear localisation of a heterologous protein, but rather has been shown to function as a p300 acetyltransferase-dependent nuclear retention sequence. Here we define the region of CtBP2 required to co-operate with a.a. 4-14 to promote CtBP2 nuclear accumulation as being within a.a. 1-119. In addition, we show that a.a. 120-445 of CtBP2 can also promote CtBP2 nuclear accumulation, independently of a.a. 4-14. Finally, CtBP1 and CtBP2 can form heterodimers, and we show that the interaction with CtBP2 is one mechanism whereby CtBP1 can be recruited to the nucleus.CONCLUSION: Together, these findings represent key distinctions in the regulation of the functions of CtBP family members that may have important implications as to their roles in development, and cell differentiation and survival.<br/

(Vol. 20, 2017-12) The Vascular Flora of Lee County, Texas.
Lee County is located in the Post Oak Savannah and Blackland Prairie vegetation areas of east-central Texas and encompasses 635 square miles (ca. 405,000 acres). A floristic survey of the vascular plants of Lee County, Texas, was conducted from November 2002 through March 2006 as a requirement for the Master’s Degree by the author in the Plant Biology Graduate Program at The University of Texas at Austin. The county was revisited in the summers of 2015 and 2017 to update information for publication. The physical and biotic settings, vegetational history, and previous collecting efforts are outlined. The checklist contains voucher collections from the present study as well as additional records from the TEX/LL, TAES, TAMU and BAYLU herbaria. The annotated checklist includes 732 species and infraspecific taxa, representing 427 genera and 122 families. The most species-rich families are Asteraceae, Poaceae, Fabaceae, Cyperaceae, and Euphorbiaceae. No federally or state listed rare species were documented, although at least two species of conservation concern were collected within the county. Native species comprise about 89% of the county flora, and include 20 species endemic to Texas. The phytogeographic position of Lee County is discussed, with a prominent feature being its position at the extreme western edge of the distributions of many species typical of the southeastern U. S. flora.Billie L. Turner Plant Resources Cente

Functions of Exponential Growth in a Half-Plane, Sets of Uniqueness, and the Müntz–Szász Problem for the Bergman Space
We introduce and study some new spaces of holomorphic functions on the right half-plane (Formula presented.) In a previous work, S. Krantz, C. Stoppato, and the first named author formulated the Müntz–Szász problem for the Bergman space, that is, the problem to characterize the sets of complex powers (Formula presented.) with (Formula presented.) that form a complete set in the Bergman space (Formula presented.) where (Formula presented.) In this paper, we construct a space of holomorphic functions on the right half-plane, that we denote by (Formula presented.) whose sets of uniqueness (Formula presented.) correspond exactly to the sets of powers (Formula presented.) that are a complete set in (Formula presented.) We show that (Formula presented.) is a reproducing kernel Hilbert space, and we prove a Paley–Wiener-type theorem and several other structural properties. We determine both a necessary and a sufficient condition on a set (Formula presented.) to be a set of uniqueness for (Formula presented.) thus providing a condition for the solution of the Müntz–Szász problem for the Bergman space. Finally, we prove that the orthogonal projection is unbounded on (Formula presented.) for all (Formula presented.

Daily Reflections (Meditations) on the Scriptures from the Roman Catholic Lectionary.
In the reading from II Samuel, David is out of his mind with grief over the deaths of King Saul and his son, David's bosom friend, Jonathan. How can these beloved warriors of Yahweh -- swifter than eagles, stronger than lions! -- have fallen?||In the second, very short reading from Mark, Jesus' relatives describe him as "out of his mind," presumably because Jesus had demonstrated the power to drive out demons, and that seemed to put him in league with evil. |But today is the memorial of Saint Francis de Sales, a Christian humanist and devout gentleman of the Catholic Reformation. If ever there was a saint who was "in his mind" _ both sane, balanced, moderate and holy _ it was Francis de Sales.|Francis was appointed bishop of Geneva in 1602, at the age of 35, and served with wide acclaim and admiration until his death in 1622. He was canonized in 1665 and named a Doctor of the Church (one of only 33 today) in 1877. He is the patron of authors, because of the literary talent to be discovered in the spiritual and theological classics, "Introduction to the Devout Life and Treatise on the Love of God." Appropriate to the gentle art of persuasion which he perfected in his preaching to those who had left the Catholic Church for Calvinism, Francis is also the patron of educators. |For more than a quarter of a century I have been married to one of the world's leading authorities on Saints Francis de Sales and Jeanne de Chantal and the tradition of spirituality they founded. Dr. Wendy M. Wright's many books, both scholarly and popular, are contemporary expressions of that Salesian tradition. Of the many insights and anecdotes she has shared with me over the years, here's just one.|When Francis was a young man he had a crisis of faith not unlike that of the young Martin Luther a century earlier. He was radically anxious about his own salvation. Luther's famous resolution was to realize that there was nothing he could do, or needed to do, but have utter, naked faith in God's grace.|Francis had a different insight. Unable to convince himself of his own salvation, he decided that nonetheless he could love both God and his neighbor unconditionally. Everything remembered and written about Francis indicates he did just that, as preacher to his brothers and sisters separated by religion, as spiritual director, as friend of the poor and sick, as author, as bishop, as founder, with St. Chantal, of the Order of the Visitation. |One of the great insights of this Doctor of the Church was that such a simple but radical path, such a "bond of perfection" (St. Paul's term for Christian friendship) was open to everyone and not just priests and religious or the spiritually gifted. Francis is often described as one of the founders of a genuine lay spirituality. I have seen that spirituality up close and personal, the only place it can bear full fruit. I have seen it in my home, and I wager you have seen it in yours, too _ even if you didn't name it "Salesian" but simply thought of it (you did think of it, right?) as Christlike. |What does it mean for a Christian to be in her right mind? To love unconditionally, no matter what grief that exposes one to, no matter how the less generously minded will perceive you. Or, as the patron of authors put it with graceful but challenging simplicity:|"The measure of love, is to love without measure.
The quality in qualitative methods
Quality concerns play a central role throughout all steps of the research process in qualitative methods, from the inception of a research question and data collection, to the analysis and interpretation of research findings. For instance, the type of instrument or procedure to collect data may be evaluated in relation to quality criteria, and these may be different from those which are used to judge the data obtained from such instruments or procedures. All these may yet again be different from quality criteria that may apply to the qualitative analyses of data. A national resource center for qualitative methods can contribute to the establishment and maintenance of certain quality standards. In this article, we will explore some of these quality criteria and how they can be established and maintained by a national resource center for qualitative methods.
