DUO Exhibition between Kyle Jenkins and ceramic artist Peta Berghofer. This show is primarily about both artists challenging their studio fields of inquiry where Berghofer is pushing the boundaries of her ceramics practice, traditionally located in craft, to exist as a collection of art objects, while Jenkins is pushing the traditions of painting into a tension between art and non-art where it exists within authorship, the monochrome, painting ‘as’ object, architecture and the everyday. . Collectively the gallery space becomes a singular object housing a collection of objects as a propositional space where the various artworks act as aesthetic proposals in object studies
