No full textCornelia de Lange syndrome (CdLS) is a multisystem disorder with distinctive facial appearance, intellectual disability and growth failure as prominent features. Most individuals with typical CdLS have de novo heterozygous loss-of-function mutations in NIPBL with mosaic individuals representing a significant proportion. Mutations in other cohesin components, SMC1A, SMC3, HDAC8 and RAD21 cause less typical CdLS

No full textThe present paper intends to analyze the contributions of Carlos Lange and Luis Rebora to the Cordoba architectural culture, through the analysis of their private homes. Originally from Rosario, both moved to Cordoba during the 40´s, and accomplished a successful integration to a small -and still in consolidation- local disciplinary field. One of their most important contribution to the local context was the introduction of a new special conception, in which influences of Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier and Marcel Breuer architecture can be traced. One the other hand, the reference to Wright´s architecture in Lange House place both, the house and the author, in the wider problematic of Wright´s architecture early reception in Argentina.El presente artículo se propone abordar las contribuciones de Carlos Lange y Luís Rébora a la cultura arquitectónica de Córdoba a partir del análisis de sus casas particulares. Rosarinos de orígenes, ambos llegaron a Córdoba en diversos momentos de la década del cuarenta, logrando una exitosa inserción profesional en un campo disciplinar acotado y en proceso de consolidación. Uno de sus principales aportes fue la introducción de una novedosa concepción espacial, por lo menos para el contexto cordobés, en la que es posible identificar diferentes presupuestos que remiten a la arquitectura de Frank Lloyd Wright, de Le Corbusier y de Marcel Breuer. La clara referencia a la arquitectura de Wright en la casa de Lange sitúan a ambos -la casa y a Lange- como una de las primeras referencias al arquitecto norteamericano en el país, y los ubica en el marco más amplio de su recepción temprana.

Una autobiografía fantástica de Norah Lange: Antes que mueran
No full textIn 1944 Norah Lange (Buenos Aires, 1905-1972) published her rst short story book in terms of an autobiography, Antes que mueran. It is a transitional and experimental work, of strong avant-garde features, where the fantastic ingredient and the ambiguity are fundamental traits. With this contribution, Lange joins the group of new Argentinian narrators, who emerged at the beginning of the 40’s, following the fantastic line promoted by Borges. En 1944 Norah Lange (Buenos Aires, 1905-1972) publica su primer libro de relatos, en clave autobiográca, Antes que mueran. Es una obra de transición, experimental, de fuertes rasgos vanguardistas, donde el ingrediente fantástico y la ambigüedad son notas fundamentales. Con esta aportación, Lange se suma al grupo de nuevos narradores argentinos, surgidos a comienzos de los años 40, en la línea fantástica promocionada por Borges.
