PROSE OF EVELINA UMEK
Diplomska naloga Proza Eveline Umek obsega avtoričina dela za odrasle, ki so izšla v knjižnih izdajah. Namen diplomskega dela je bil predstaviti življenje in delo pisateljice Eveline Umek, analizirati prozo ter ugotoviti skupne značilnosti krajše in daljše proze. V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno, komparativno, zgodovinsko metodo ter metodo analize. Analiza pripovednih besedil je razdeljena na daljšo in krajšo prozo. Zajema naslednja dela, ki smo jih obravnavali na osnovi literarne teorije. V poglavje Krajša proza smo uvrstili zbirko pripovednih besedil Mandrija in druge zgodbe (2003), v poglavju Daljša proza smo po kronologiji razvrstili romane: Frizerka (2005), Hiša na Krasu (2006), Po sledeh fate morgane: Marica Nadlišek Bartol (1867–1940) in Zlata poroka ali tržaški blues (2010). Na podlagi prebranih del smo avtorico umestili v kontekst tržaške književnosti. Analiza je pokazala, da avtorica snov črpa iz lastnega življenja ali življenja ljudi, ki jih srečuje. Prisotni sta predvsem bivanjska in narodna tematika. Pogosto se pojavljajo ženski literarni liki. Dogajanje v vseh delih je večinoma postavljeno v Trst, kot idiličen prostor se pojavlja tudi Kras. Pisateljici je najbliže objektivno prikazovanje stvarnosti, saj so vsa dela napisana v realističnem slogu.The thesis Prose of Evelina Umek deals with the author\u27s works for adults that were published in printed editions. The purpose of the thesis was to present the life and work of the writer Evelina Umek, to analyse her prose and to identify common characteristics of her short and long prose works. In the thesis, a descriptive, a comparative a historical method were used as well as a method of analysis. The analysis of the narrative texts is divided into long and short prose works. It covers the following works, which were dealt with on the basis of literal theory. The chapter Short prose works includes a collection of narrative texts Mandrija in druge zgodbe (2003), in the chapter Long prose works the following novels are chronologically arranged and studied: Frizerka (2005), Hiša na Krasu (2006), Po sledeh fate morgane: Marica Nadlišek Bartol (1867–1940) and Zlata poroka ali tržaški blues (2010). On the basis of the read works the author was placed into the context of Triestine literature. The analysis showed that the author draws on material from her own life or from the lives of people she meets. Primarily existential and national topics are present. Female literary characters occur often. In all her works the stories mostly take place in Trieste, Karts is an idyllic place. The author likes an objective display of the reality the most since all her works are written in a realistic style
ANALYSIS OF YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AFTER FINISHED STUDIES
Mladi na trg dela vstopajo po končanem šolanju, oziroma po zaključku študija. Zaposlitev mladim zagotavlja samostojnost, zadovoljitev potreb in dragocene delovne izkušnje.
V diplomski nalogi smo obravnavali populacijo med 18 in 35 letom starosti. V tem starostnem obdobju je nekaterim že uspelo dokončati šolanje in se zaposliti, nekateri pa so še v fazi iskanja svoje prve zaposlitve. Z anketnim vprašalnikom smo ugotavljali stališča mladih o možnostih zaposlovanja in dejavnikih vpliva na samo zaposlitev.
Ugotovili smo, da osebe z delovnimi izkušnjami lažje dobijo zaposlitev, tudi v primeru dela samo preko študentskega servisa. Prav tako zaposljivost ni vezana na stopnjo dokončane izobrazbe. Osebe s končanim poklicnim izobraževanjem imajo enake možnosti zaposlitve, kot osebe z dokončano višjo stopnjo izobrazbe. Ugotovili smo, da mladi ne poznajo programov za lažjo zaposljivost, saj je le 30 odstotkov vseh vprašanih na to vprašanje odgovorilo pritrdilno. V nasprotju z navedeno ugotovitvijo pa se je večina anketiranih strinjala, da je LinkedIn najprimernejše omrežje pri iskanju zaposlitve.It is known, that young adults enter into the labour market after finishing secondary educationmore specifically after the age of 20 or after finishing higher degree. Employment gives them independence and new experiences.
Bachelor work is specified in population aged between 18 and 35 old. During these ages some individuals had successfully finished studying and got employed, while others are still actively searching for their first job. It is not clearly known, how previous experiences obtained within internships or how student work are compiled, which aspects job seekers find important when searching for first job, and what does have the biggest impact on the occupation itself.
Consequently, survey with 68 examinees was made. It was found that companies search for experienced individuals regardless to previous job type and education level. Young adults find LinkedIn portal as the most suitable for searching new jobs. Survey also showed that job seekers are not familiar with Employment Service in Slovenia
Employee satisfaction analysis in selected organization
Povratne informacije zaposlenih o njihovem zadovoljstvu so bistven prispevek k uspešnemu poslovanju vsake organizacije. Zadovoljstvo zaposlenih je točka na krivulji, ki lahko strmo pade in s tem povzroči veliko škode, če ji organizacija ne posveti svoje pozornosti. Prav zato je potrebno nenehno usmerjanje v raziskovanje na področju zadovoljstva zaposlenih in ob spoznanju kritičnih dejstev je nujno učinkovito in hitro ukrepanje za odpravo negativnega stanja. Eden izmed učinkovitih načinov pridobivanja povratnih informacij zaposlenih je izvedba anketne raziskave. Teoretični del bo tako zajemal stališča in spoznanja domačih in tujih študij ter drugih virov na področju zadovoljstva zaposlenih. Predstavljeni bodo osnovni pojmi in dejavniki, ki so povezani z zadovoljstvom ter motivacijo zaposlenih. Uporabljena bo kvantitativna metoda merjenja in v povezavi s tem izvedena anketa, ki prikazuje dejansko sliko povratnih ocen anketirancev o zadovoljstvu s posameznimi elementi in njihovo pomembnostjo. Ugotovitve kažejo, kako zelo pomembni za zaposlene so določeni dejavniki zadovoljstva, ki pa po drugi strani kažejo nekoliko slabšo sliko, kot je dejansko stanje. Rezultati analize so zelo koristni za vodstvo izbrane organizacije, saj kažejo, pri katerih dejavnikih zadovoljstva bi bilo treba za izboljšanje stanja v praksi narediti še korak naprej.Employee feedback on their workplace satisfaction is a valuable contribution to the company’s business performance. Employee satisfaction can be seen as a point on a curve that can fall drastically to the level of dissatisfaction if the organisation does not attend to itthus it can cause a great deal of damage. To maintain employee satisfaction, constant analyses need to be carried out. If employee dissatisfaction is identified, measures have to be taken promptly to mend the unfavourable situation. One of the efficient ways of acquiring employee feedback is a survey. The theoretical part of my bachelor’s thesis includes a literature overview consisting of standpoints and findings of domestic and foreign studies, as well as other sources dealing with employee satisfaction. Basic concepts and factors connected to employee satisfaction and motivation are presented. For the empirical part of my bachelor’s thesis, a qualitative methodology of research was used. I carried out a survey in order to find out the reality of employee feedback. The respondents answered questions about their satisfaction with different aspects of workadditionally, they were also asked to rate the importance of those aspects. The results indicate the great importance certain aspects have on employee satisfaction. My findings also paint a somewhat poor picture of employee satisfaction among the respondents. The results of my analysis are highly useful for the management of the organisation in which the survey was conducted. They show which aspects of work the employees are dissatisfied with and can be improved
ANALYSIS OF YOUNG ADULTS MOTIVATION FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP
V Sloveniji je gospodarska kriza leta 2008 močno vplivala na trg dela. Posledice so se odražale kot naraščanje stopnje brezposelnosti. Visoko stopnjo brezposelnosti je bilo zaznati tudi med mladimi. Ti so zaradi omejenih možnosti velikokrat sprejeli delo, ki ga ne bi, če bi imeli izbiro. Stanje brezposelnosti se zdaj izboljšuje. V letu 2015 je delež brezposelnih mladih upadel na najnižjo raven. Kot rešitev se je pojavilo podjetništvo. Država, agencije, zavodi in šolstvo so začeli spodbujati mlade k podjetniški poti. Država ponuja subvencije, ki omogočajo lažji zagon pri odprtju podjetja. Organizacije, zavodi in šolstvo pa mladim ponujajo izobraževanja in delavnice, s katerimi želijo med njimi spodbuditi ustvarjalnost, podjetnost in inovativnost.
Namen diplomskega dela je raziskati področje mladih v Sloveniji in podjetništva kot način reševanja problema brezposelnosti. Ugotoviti želim, ali se mladi odločijo za podjetništvo zaradi edine možnosti zaposlitve in vpliva okolja ali je to osebna odločitev, želja oziroma zaznana priložnost po lastnem podjetju. Analizo sem izvajala med mladimi podjetniki, starimi med 18 in 35 let.
Z anonimno anketo sem želela raziskati, kaj mlade podjetnike motivira za odločitev o podjetniški poti. Želela sem ugotoviti, kako se je razvila njihova želja, in preučiti njihove strahove in ovire na poti. Uporabila sem deskriptivno metodo s študijem domače in tuje literature.
Rezultati so pokazali, da se vse več mladih odloča za podjetništvo zaradi lastnih interesov, osebnih ambicij in želje po uspehu. Za odločitev so jih motivirali prijatelji in družina ali pa so se za podjetništvo odločili sami, saj so v tem videli priložnost. Podjetništvo ni bila edina možnost zaposlitve, vendar so se zanjo vseeno odločili. Večina je za odprtje podjetja uporabila lastne prihranke, le peščica se je odločila za pomoč subvencije. Pri zagonu podjetja so se pojavile tudi ovire, kot so finančna tveganja, administrativne zahteve in pomanjkanje znanja in veščin. Za podjetništvo so se odločili kljub strahovom pred neuspehom in preveliko odgovornostjo. Prevladujejo mikro in mala podjetja, vendar rastejo.
Za analizo mladih pri odprtju lastnega podjetja sem se odločila, ker sem želela izvedeti, ali se za podjetništvo odločajo zaradi nuje ali priložnosti. Po analizi sem ugotovila, da prevladujejo odločitve zaradi priložnosti.Economic crisis in Slovenia has significantly influenced job market in 2008. Consequences have been felt in form of unemployment rate increase. High level of unemployment was also effecting young population. Young people were forced to do jobs that they would turn down if they had a choice. Job market is now improving. In 2015 unemployment rate was at the lowest level again. Entrepreneurship has emerged as a solution to solve high unemployment rate. The government, agencies, institutes and educational establishments have all started to encourage entrepreneurship among young people. Governments are offering subsidies, grants that are making it easier to start a new venture. Institutes and education are offering trainings and workshops to young people. They are trying to encourage creativity, entrepreneurship and innovation among young people.
Purpose of this diploma is to research young people and entrepreneurship in Slovenia as a solution to high unemployment. Is decision to start their own companies the only way of employment for young people? How did environment influence on it. If it was their own decision, what were their goals, have they seized an opportunity to open a company? I have been performing my analysis among young entrepreneurs aged from 18 to 35.
I have wanted to research what is the main motivation behind the decision to become entrepreneurs with an anonymous survey. To determine how the idea of their own company has developed and study their fears and constrains on their path. I have used a descriptive method with studying local and foreign literature.
Results have shown that more and more young people are deciding to become entrepreneurs because of their own interests, personal ambitious and an urge to succeed. Family and friends have motivated them to follow the entrepreneurship patch or they have decided to open their own companies by themselves after seeing an opportunity. Entrepreneurship has not been the only option to get employment but they have still chosen to follow this path. Most of the used their own savings to start new ventures, only a hand full of them used government grants, subsidies. There have been obstacles such as financial risk, administration requests and lack of knowledge and capabilities to name a few. They have chosen to become entrepreneurs despite their fears of failure and big responsibility. Most of companies are micro companies and small companies by size, however they are growing bigger each year.
I chose to analyze young people who are starting their own ventures because I wanted to find out if they are deciding for entrepreneurship out of necessity or out of opportunity. My analysis has shown that decisions out of opportunity prevail
THE LINK BETWEEN EMPLOYEE SATISFACTOIN AND EFFICIENCY IN THE CASE OD ADMINISTRATIVE UNITS
Upravne enote v Sloveniji morajo svojim državljanom in strankam zagotavljati zakonito in ustrezno delovanje. Da bi se to doseglo, se na upravnih enotah med drugim osredotočajo tudi na zadovoljstvo svojih zaposlenih in učinkovitost delovanja. V diplomskem delu sta obravnavani temi zadovoljstva zaposlenih ter učinkovitosti na upravnih enotah. Uporabljena metoda je bila analiziranje anket o zadovoljstvu zaposlenih ter analiza podatkov o rešenih upravnih zadevah za upravne enote, in sicer za leta 2014, 2016 ter 2018. Z raziskavo smo želeli tudi izvedeti, če obstaja povezanost med zadovoljstvom zaposlenih ter njihovo učinkovitostjo pri reševanju upravnih zadev.
Rezultati analize so pokazali, da so zaposleni najmanj zadovoljni s komunikacijo z nadrejenimi ter s svojo osebnostno rastjo. Pokazalo se je tudi, da so upravne enote v vseh treh letih delovale učinkovito, gledano z vidika rešenih upravnih zadev. Analiza povezanosti med spremenljivkama zadovoljstvo zaposlenih ter rešene upravne zadeve na zaposlenega ni pokazala značilne povezanosti. Iz podatkov pa je bilo razvidno, da je stopnja povezanosti iz leta 2014 v leto 2018 naraščala, zato je mogoče, da bo naraščala tudi v naslednjih nekaj letih.
Predlogi za izboljšavo se navezujejo na vpeljavo izobraževanj in usposabljanj tako za vodilne kot tudi zaposlene. Prav tako bi bilo za izboljšanje delovanja samih upravnih enot dobro povečati število zaposlenih.Administrative units in Slovenia must ensure the legal and appropriate operation for their citizens and clients. To achieve this, administrative units focus, among other things, on employee satisfaction and operational efficiency. The diploma thesis deals with the topics of employee satisfaction and efficiency in administrative units. The method used was the analysis of employee satisfaction surveys and the analysis of data on resolved administrative matters for administrative units for years 2014, 2016 and 2018. The survey also sought to find out if there is a relationship between employee satisfaction and their effectiveness in resolving administrative matters.
The results of the analysis showed that employees are least satisfied with communication with superiors and their personal growth. It also turned out that the administrative units functioned efficiently in all three years, from the point of view of resolved administrative matters. The analysis of the correlation between the variables employee satisfaction and the resolved administrative matter per employee did not show a significant correlation. However, the data showed that the level of connectivity increased from 2014 to 2018, so it is possible that it will continue to increase in the next few years.
Suggestions for improvement relate to the introduction of education and training for managers as well as employees. It would also be good to increase the number of employees to improve the functioning of the administrative units themselves
Zadovoljstvo občanov z delovanjem občinske uprave v občini Gorenja vas – Poljane
Namen diplomskega dela je bil preučiti stopnjo zadovoljstva občanov z delovanjem občinske uprave v občini Gorenja vas – Poljane. Ker je občina, kot samoupravna lokalna skupnost, ustanovljena z namenom zagotavljanja interesov prebivalstva na določenem teritoriju, je pomembno, da dosledno spremljajo kvaliteto opravljenih storitev in zadovoljstvo občanov z opravljenimi storitvami. V ta namen je bila oblikovana in izvedena anketa, kjer je bil glavni namen oceniti splošno zadovoljstvo občanov z delovanjem občinske uprave Gorenja vas - Poljane, hkrati pa ugotoviti, katerim področjem bi bilo potrebno posvetiti več pozornosti. S pomočjo izvedene raziskave smo ugotovili, da večina občanov z delovanjem občinske uprave ni niti zadovoljna niti nezadovoljna, saj se je povprečna ocena pri posameznih vprašanjih gibala okoli te ravni. Nekoliko višja raven zadovoljstva je bila izkazana pri ocenjevanju dela župana, s katerim so občani zadovoljni. Ugotovili smo tudi, da so ljudje najbolj zadovoljni z področjem šolstva, najmanj pa s področjem cestne infrastrukture, za katerega menijo, da bi mu bilo v prihodnje potrebno nameniti največ pozornosti. Prek analize je bilo ugotovljeno tudi, da so bili občani pri dosedanjem poslovanju z občinsko upravo zadovoljni.The aim of this thesis was to study the level of satisfaction of the citizens with the municipality of Gorenja vas - Poljane. As a self-governing local authority established to safeguard the interests of the population in a given territory, it is important to consistently monitor the quality of services they provide and the satisfaction of citizens with said services. To this end, a survey was designed and carried out, the main purpose of which was to assess the general satisfaction of citizens with the functioning of Gorenja vas – Poljane Municipal Administration, and also to identify which areas could be given more attention. The survey found that the majority of citizens are neither satisfied nor dissatisfied with the performance of the municipal administration, with average scores for individual questions hovering around this level. Only the evaluation of the Mayor\u27s performance showed a slightly higher level of satisfaction, with the majority of citizens being satisfied with the Mayor\u27s performance. We also found that people are most satisfied with the education sector, and least satisfied with the road infrastructure sector, which they think should receive the most attention in the future. The analysis also found that citizens were satisfied with the municipality\u27s performance so far
FACTORS OF THE EDUCATIONAL SUCCESS OF THE STUDENTS AT THE FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION
Učni uspeh študentov je odvisen od različnih dejavnikov, ki se med seboj prepletajo in vplivajo drug na drugega. V diplomskem delu sem analizirala, ali na učni uspeh študentov Fakultete za upravo vplivajo demografske lastnosti (spol, tip naselja), družinska situacija (ekonomski položaj družine, zanimanje staršev za študij otroka), samozavest in samopodoba študenta, njihove navade (branje knjig) in stres.
V diplomskem delu sem preučila literaturo s področja učne uspešnosti in na podlagi izsledkov izvedla anketno raziskavo, v kateri sem spraševala študente Fakultete za upravo o njihovi učni uspešnosti (povprečje ocen, število pristopov za opravljanje izpita) ter jih po ostalih prej omenjenih socialno-demografskih lastnostih.
Empirična študija, v kateri je sodelovalo 50 študentov, je pokazala, da spol, zanimanje staršev, bralne navade in stres ne vplivajo na učni uspeh študentov. Ugotovitev, da med študentkami in študenti ni razlik v učnem uspehu, ni skladna z rezultati predhodnih analiz, je pa treba upoštevati majhnost vzorca in precejšnjo neuravnoteženost po spolu. Po drugi strani pa je študija pokazala, da imata velikost družine in samozavest študentov pozitiven vpliv na učni uspeh. Študentje, ki prihajajo iz večjih družin, in tisti, ki so pred izpitom bolj samozavestni, dobivajo boljše ocene in hitreje opravijo izpit. Pozitiven vpliv velikosti družine je presenetljiv, saj predhodne raziskave tega vpliva niso potrdile.The educational achievement of the students depends on different factors, which are interwoven and reciprocal. In the Diploma Thesis I analysed if the educational achievements of the students at the Faculty of Administration depend on the demographical characteristics (gender, settlement type), family situation (economic situation of the family, parent’s interest in their child’s studies), student’s self-confidence and self-image, their habits (reading books) and stress.
In the Diploma Thesis I studied the literature from the field of educational achievements and based on the findings performed a survey. In it I asked the students of the Faulty of Administration about their educational achievements (average of grades, number of approaches to the exam) and other before mentioned socio-demographical characteristics.
The empirical studies, which involved 50 students, showed, that gender, parents’ interest, reading habits and stress do not influence the student’s educational achievements. The result showed that there are no differences between male and female students, which is not in accordance with the results of the former analysis, but we do have to consider the small sample and a relative imbalance according to the gender. On the other hand the study showed that the size of the family and the student’s self-confidence positively influence the student’s success. The students from the bigger families and those who are more confident prior to the exam, achieve better grades and finish the exam faster. The size of the family as a factor in the educational success is surprising, since the previous studies did not confirm this influence
THE ANALYSIS OF STUDENT\u27S MOTIVATION AT THE FACULTY OF ADMINISTRATION
Doseganje dobrih učnih oziroma študijskih rezultatov je odvisno od pripravljenosti in volje vsakega posameznika, saj ima poleg že osvojenega znanja, izkušenj, sposobnosti in talentov osrednjo vlogo pri tem motivacija. V diplomskem delu sem analiziral stopnjo motiviranosti pri študentih Fakultete za upravo, kar se je na podlagi raziskave izkazalo za resen problem. V diplomskem delu sem zbral in preučil vso potrebno literaturo o motivaciji, izobraževanju in učenju. Poleg omenjenega sem preučil tudi lastnosti uspešnega učenca in »dobrega predavatelja«, kar lahko služi za primerjavo oziroma zgled. Po teoretični preučitvi sem izvedel anketno raziskavo, v kateri sem študente omenjene fakultete poleg demografskih podatkov spraševal tudi po njihovi motivaciji. Spraševal sem jih tudi o tem, kaj je zanje motivacija za učenje oziroma študij, kako ocenjujejo uspešnega učenca ter katere so tiste lastnosti, ki po njihovem mnenju opredeljujejo »dobrega predavatelja«.
V raziskavi je sodelovalo 100 študentov in študentk Fakultete za upravo. Na podlagi ankete sem ugotovil, da jim motivacije vedno primanjkuje in da jih redko zgrabi volja do učenja. Zanimivo je dejstvo, da študentom slaba ocena ne predstavlja dodatne motivacije, pri čemer slabo oceno pripisujejo odporu do učenja oziroma lastni krivdi. Raziskava pa je na drugi strani pokazala, da so za študente največja motivacijo za študij potrdila oziroma listine o zaključku šolanja (diploma, magisterij in doktorat). Po mnenju anketirancev se med glavne vzroke za upad motivacije uvrščata občutek o neuporabnosti oz. nekoristnosti predavane učne vsebine in nepravočasno učenje oziroma priprava na študijske obveznosti. Na podlagi ugotovitev sem oblikoval tudi predloge za izboljšanje problematičnega stanja.Achieving good study results depends on the readiness and willingness of the student, as besides the previous knowledge, experiences and talent motivation plays the key role. In my thesis I have analyzed motivation levels of the Faculty of Administration students and the analysis proved motivation to be one of the main issues in their studies. For my thesis I have collected and studied all the required literature on motivation, education and learning. I was also interested in the key characteristics of a successful students and a "good lecturer" and used these in my subsequent comparison and as a guide to my analysis. I followed the theoretical part with a survey questionnaire, in which I was asking the students of Faculty of Administration about their demographics and their motivation. I was interested in what exactly motivates their studies, how do they view a successful student and what do they think defines a "good lecturer".
100 students of both sexes took part in my survey. The results have shown that the majority of responding students are always lacking proper motivation and rarely find the will to study hard. An interesting result was also that the student doesn\u27t view a bad grade as a source of motivation, as they attribute it to their own unwillingness to study, they consider it their own fault. My survey identified the certificate of graduation (i. e. bachelor, Masters or Doctoral degree) as the student\u27s main source of motivation. They attribute the lack of motivation to study mainly to their belief that the study subjects are useless and that they started studying or preparing to study too late. I have followed the study findings with my suggestions for improvements or addressing these problems
ANALYSIS OF THE IMPACT OF DEVELOPMENT OF SPORT INFRASTRUCTURE IN THE MUNICIPALITIES ON PHYSICAL FITNESS OF CHILDREN
V diplomskem delu sem analizirala ali razvita športna infrastruktura v današnjih časih pozitivno vpliva na telesni fitnes otrok starih od 6 do 14 let. Športna infrastruktura so objekti namenjeni različnim športnih aktivnostim, telesni fitnes otrok pa prikazuje gibalno učinkovitost in telesno pripravljenost otrok. Rezultate pridobijo na podlagi športnovzgojnega kartona in se zbirajo vsako leto na osnovnih in srednjih šolah.
V teoretičnem delu so razloženi in opredeljeni osnovni pojmi povezani z občino, športno infrastrukturo, športnovzgojnem kartonu ter telesnim fitnesom. V raziskovalnem delu sem se osredotočila na uradne že pridobljene podatke o številu športne infrastrukture in povprečnega telesnega fitnesa otrok za vsako posamezno občino. Podatke o športni infrastrukturi je pridobilo Ministrstvo za izobraževanje, znanost in šport. Povprečni telesni fitnes otrok pa so objavili na Nacionalnem inštitut za javno zdravje. V analizo sem vključila vseh 212 slovenskih občin. Občine sem primerjala glede na športno infrastrukturo in telesni fitnes otrok. V analizo sem vključila eno odvisno spremenljivko o povprečnem telesnem fitnesu otrok in dve neodvisni spremenljivki števila športnih društev na 1.000 prebivalcev in števila športnih objektov na 1.000 prebivalcev. Vpliv športne infrastrukture na telesni fitnes otrok sem analizirala z linearno regresijo. Ugotovila sem, da športna infrastruktura na nivoju občin nima posebnega vpliva na telesni fitnes otrok. Tudi povezanost med obema neodvisnima in odvisno spremenljivko je šibka, kar pomeni, da število športnih društev in število objektov na 1.000 prebivalcev ne vpliva na telesno in gibalno učinkovitost otrok v posamezni občini.In my bachelor thesis I analysed whether the developed sports infrastructure has a positive impact on the physical fitness of children between 6 and 14 years of age. Sports infrastructure includes facilities intended for various sports activities , while physical fitness of children demonstrates the physical performance and physical fitness of children. The results are obtained on the basis of a so called ˝sports card˝ and are collected annually at primary and secundary schools. The theoretical part explains and defines the basic concepts related to the municipality, sports infrastructure and average physical fitness of children for each individual municipality. Information on sports infrastructure was obtained from the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports, while the information on average physical fitness of children was gathered fron National Institute of Public Health. All 212 Slovenian municipalities have been included in the analysis. I studied the correlation between sports infrastructure and physical fitness of children throughout the municipalities. In the analysis I incorporated one dependt variable (the average physical fitness of children) and two independent variables (the number of sports clubs per 1000 inhabitants and the number of sports facilities per 1000 inhabitants). The impact of sports infrastructure on the physical fitness of children was analysed using the linear regression method. The results of the aforementioned method have datermined the correlation between the variables is weak therefore we can conclude that sports infrastructure at the municipal level has no particular impact on the physical fitness of children. The correlation between the two independent and dependent variables ia also weak, which means that the number of sports clubs and the number of facilities per 1000 inhabitants does not affect the physical performance and fitness of children in each municipality
Statistical analysis of sustainable development indicators in OECD countries
Namen diplomskega dela je z različnimi statističnimi pristopi izoblikovati indeks uravnoteženega razvoja držav OECD-ja. Vsaka država teži k napredku, zato je razvoj smiselno meriti. Uravnotežen razvoj zajema tri področja merjenja in sicerekonomsko, socialno in okoljsko, ki skupaj določajo indeks razvitosti. Razlog za pisanje dela je pridobiti poglobljeno razumevanje trajstnostnega razvoja in izbranih uporabljenih statističnih pristopov za računanje indeksa.
Metodologija raziskovanja je kvantitativna. V delu so zbrani podatki s spletnih podatkovnih baz, na podlagi katerih je izvedena statistična analiza. Podatki so zbrani v kazalnike razvoja in so razvrščeni po področjih merjenja. Rezultat dela so indeksi razvitosti, ki smo jih oblikovali z metodo glavnih komponent in skupine držav po razvitosti, oblikovane na podlagi razvrščanja enot v skupine.
V okviru analize smo oblikovali indekse razvitosti, ki so služili za primerjavo razvoja držav in preverjanje zastavljenih hipotez. S pomočjo statistične analize s programskih orodjem SPSS smo ugotovili, kateri kazalniki imajo največji in kateri najmanjši vpliv na indeks razvitosti držav.
Rezultati dela lahko služijo oblikovalcem politike v Sloveniji in ostalih obravnavanih državah, v katero področje naj oblasti usmerijo denarne in druge vire, da bi se država povzpela še višje po lestvici razvoja oziroma pripadala drugi, bolj razviti skupini držav. Delo bi lahko služilo tudi za nadaljnjo proučevanje trajnostnega razvoja, kjer bi se vključilo še več kazalnikov in bi bilo vsako področje po številu kazalnikov enakomerno zastopano.The purpose of the paper is to use various statistical approaches to create index of sustainable development of the OECD countries. Each country strives for development. Sustainable development covers three areas of measurementeconomic, social and environmental. Together they determine the development index. Reason for writing is to obtain understanding of sustainable development and selected statistical methods.
The research methodology is quantitative. The paper collects data from online available databases and use it to perform statistical analysis. Data is classified within economic, social and environmental measurement areas. Result of analysis are the indices of development, which were formed by using the Principal Components Method and Cluster Analysis.
Developed indices serve to compare the development of countries with each other. Analysis was performed with SPSS software tool. Based on obtained results we identified which indicators have the greatest and the lowest impact on countries development.
Result of the work can serve for national policy makers for directing financial and other resources to pursue the goal to achieve higher living standard. The work could also be used for further study of sustainable development, which would include even more indicators for each area of development measurement
