This study examines the thinking of KH education. M. Hasyim Asy'ari in applying character education methods and strategies. The authors limit the study of A> da> b al-'A> lim wa Muta'allim by KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari. The results showed that, firstly, 1) The strategy used in the application of character education perspective KH. M. Hashim Asy'ari in the book Ada> b al-'A> lim Wa al-Muta'allim there are two kinds: spiritual strategy (batiniyah) and non-spiritual strategy (lahiriyah). Non-spiritual strategy (lahiriyah) done by KH. M. Hasyim Ash'ari there are three kinds: related to the model figure: uswah hasanah strategy, related curriculum: integration and internalization strategy, related to methodology: forced formality strategy and define-and-drill strategy 2) The method used in applying KH perspective character education . A feedforward-plus-feedback congestion control scheme for store-and-forward packet-switching networks

No full text
A feedforward-plus-feedback control scheme is presented to prevent congestion in store-and-forward packet-switching networks. The control scheme consists of two algorithms: an input traffic adjustment algorithm and a control signal computation algorithm. Specifically, the input traffic adjustment algorithm employs a proportional-fairness policy in resource allocation, such that the admitted traffic sate into the network is proportional to the offered traffic rate. The control signal computation algorithm to ensure asymptotic stability of the overall system in the robust sense and to obtain the desired transient performance in the adaptive sense, with respect to changes of the offered traffic pattern, ave designed

Extreme-point robust stability of a class of discrete-time polynomials

No full text
The authors present new results on the extreme-point robust stability of a class of discrete-time polynomials with special uncertainty in the coefficient space. Using a simple extreme-point stability test, they show that the stability of all polynomials corresponding to the special polytope in the coefficient space can be deduced to the stability of the polynomial corresponding to one of the extreme-points of the polytope

Spectroscopic and elemental investigation of microbial decomposition of aquatic fulvic acid in biological process of drinking water treatment

No full text
As humic substances left in treated water tend to form trihalomethans during chlorination, their removal in water treatment processes is a significant concern for drinking water supplies. One of the removal technologies, the biofilm reactor is studied for the microbial decomposition of aquatic fulvic acid (AFA). The AFA is characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Vis, C-13-NMR, and IR spectroscopic methods. The spectroscopic and elemental investigation was capable of characterizing the microbial decomposition of AFA. Biologically treated fulvic acid was in a more oxidized state; its spectra displayed a higher degree of condensation of aromatic constituents than influent fulvic acid. Microbial degradation of AFA was more active in the low molecular weight fractions and intensively occurred in the aliphatic fraction

Enhanced vertical photo-sensitivity in mu c-Si : H/a-Si : H superlattices

The microcrystalline silicon/amorphous silicon (mu c-Si:H/a-Si:H) superlattice showed an enhanced vertical,photo- sensitivity (photo-conductivity/dark-conductivity), whereas it reserved a lateral photo-sensitivity nearly unchanged. The film was fabricated by alternating the mixing of SiH4 and HZ in a photo-chemical vapor deposition system. The fact that a high vertical photo-sensitivity and an obvious crystalline volume fraction can be obtained at the same time distinguishes the mu c-Si:H/a-Si:H superlattice from the bulk mu c-Si:H. The change of the vertical dark-conductivity with the sublayer thickness was explained by the change of the a-Si:PI sublayer's electrical conduction property. We think that the thin a-Si:H sublayers play an important role of perturbing a columnar structure of the mu c-Si:H. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved
