Quasinormal subgroups of infinite groups
In this brief survey paper we give an account of the theory of quasinormal subgroups of infinite group
Artinian automorphisms of infinite groups
An automorphism alpha of a group G is called an artinian automorphism if for every strictly descending chain H_1 > H_2 > ... > H_n > ... of subgroups of G there exists a positive integer m such that (H_n)^alpha = H_n for every n>m. In this paper we show that in many cases the group of all artinian automorphisms of G coincides with the group of all power automorphisms of G

Embodied Learning with Augmented Reality: Future Teachers’ Perspectives
Effectively navigating the complexity of learning in the 21st century requires innovative and adaptive approaches to education. When combined with Augmented Reality (AR), Embodied Learning approach takes on new dimensions creating immersive and interactive educational experiences. In addition, the potential benefits in terms of engagement, understanding, and skill development make it an exciting frontier for enhancing the educational experience in Initial Teacher Training. This study explores the intersection of Embodied Learning and Augmented Reality (AR) through the lens of future pre-primary and primary teachers at University of Palermo in the a.y. 2023-24. The research aims at exploring the perception of future teachers on the use of augmented reality experimented with Microsoft Hololens headset, to determine whether embodiment processes actually occur during an immersive experience, a prelude to subsequent mind-body interactions in the learning process. The very first results highlighted how the majority of participants positively evaluated the experience within the immersive environment, recognizing its potential in promoting active, engaging, authentic and experiential learning
A note on torsion-free locally cyclic quasinormal subgroups
We discuss properties of subgroups as in the title. Our main result is a theorem of Maier-Schmid type: all locally cyclic, core-free quasinormal subgroups of a group G necessarily are contained in the hypercentre of G. This property was known to hold for periodic subgroups of this kin
