Il volume consta di una raccolta di scritti che, da un punto di vista psicoanalitico, esplorano le fonti originarie del funzionamento psichico come la pulsione, il rappresentante psichico, la rimozione, i destini pulsionali, la struttura dell'Io e del Sé
Parametric adaptive control of multimachine power systems with nonlinear loads
The novel concepts and definitions of M derivative and M bracket for nonlinear differential algebraic system (NDAS) are introduced, and some related revised results that are similar to the classic differential geometric theory are given. The normal forms of NDAS model are obtained by multi-input multi-output (MIMO) feedback linearization technique. The control expressions derived are based on the linear system theory and the requirements of tracking targets when the relative degree of the system is less than the dimension of the system and the special designated conditions are satisfied. The parametric adaptive controller is obtained for the multimachine power systems with nonlinear loads and undetermined or unknown parameters by the Lyapunov stability theory and method
A novel approach to Dynamic Security Control: an application for Transmission Management
A methodology for treating dynamic optimization problems relevant to dynamic security assessment (DSA) is proposed. This paper starts with an overview on the description of a dynamic optimization problem in the continuous time domain. Through a discretization, a static optimization problem, in the discrete time domain, is obtained. The solution of this problem allows evaluating preventive control actions able to guarantee static and dynamic security of power system. In particular, corrections on bilateral contract power exchanges, through a contract curtailment procedure, are assessed for security-constrained transmission management in a deregulated environment

Monitoring and Control of a Smart Distribution Network in Extended Real-Time DMS Framework
Based on recently proposed architectures for smart grids, the authors present a monitoring and control structure for distribution networks. The main idea is that, in a near future, Distribution Network Operators (DNOs) will be able to develop on-line smart functions in the extended real-time framework of daily system operation (approximately every 15-30 minutes). The core of the proposed architecture is an advanced Distribution Management System (DMS) whose task is to assess control functions such as reactive dispatch, voltage regulation, contingency analysis, capability maximization or line switching. The monitoring and control structure proposed for this system includes on-line tools such as GIS interface, topology processor, state estimator, load modelling, load flow and optimal distribution power flow (ODPF), control of active and reactive distributed resources, optimal network reconfiguration. Such architecture can also take advantage of existing communication infrastructures, Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) or Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), which guarantee the availability of two-way communication channels. The paper presents, together with the main outline of the proposed control architecture, the results of an on-going research project with AMET, an Italian city-scale electricity Distribution Company (DisCO) that supplies energy to about 35,000 customers, covering an urban area of about 60,000 inhabitants. Possible applications of DMS will be showed running a novel ODPF algorithm on a real representation of AMET distribution system. Test results will also show how basic smart control functions, such as active and reactive control of distributed resources, are compatible with time requirements of extended real-time DMS framework
From pan-continental to inter-continental systems analyses: Planning HVDC corridors in long-term grid studies
This paper, after providing an overview on key past and ongoing continental studies, with particular focus on European and neighboring regions, presents a methodological approach for an optimal long-term development of an intercontinental grid based on HVDC corridors
A two-stage robust power system state estimation method with unknown measurement noise
In practical applications like power system, the distribution of the measurement noise is unknown or frequently deviates from the assumed Gaussian model, often being characterized by heavy tails and sometimes generating impulse noise, named outliers. Under these conditions, the performances of the conventional state estimation (SE) methods that assume known and Gaussian noise, will be greatly degraded. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a two-stage robust power system SE method. In the first stage, a GM-estimator that uses conventional SCADA measurements is proposed by using the robust scale estimation, projection statistics and Huber-type M-estimator. Its result is further combined with the PMU measurement to achieve a linear robust estimation in the second stage. The projection statistics is used to identify and downweight the bad leverage measurements. The GM-estimator bounds the influences of bad data and the estimation residuals, yielding good statistical efficiency for Gaussian noise or even other non-Gaussian heavy tailed distributions, like Laplace, Gaussian mixture, etc. Numerical tests on the IEEE-30 bus system under various cases verify the effectiveness and robustness of the proposed method
