Sincerity and Children Lies in Fonvizin and Tolstoy The essay puts forward the idea of a similarity in the treatment of sincerity and lies between the author of Childhood and Eighteenth Century Russian writer Denis Fonvizin. The striking analogy between two episodes depicting children white lies in Childhood and Denis Fonvizin’s memoirs A sincere avowal of my deeds and thoughts is presented. The similarity of the episodes can be explained by the common influence of Rousseau, which Fonvizin knew and appreciated especially after reading his Confessions, and which he quoted in his own memoirs, but the possibility of Tolstoy’s more or less conscious imitation of the older writer is also taken into account

Статья посвящена стихотворению Михаила Муравьева «Богине Невы» (1797). Она включает его первый итальянский перевод, подробное обсуждение пути от рукописи до печатного издания, текстологический, метрический и иконографический анализ текста. Особое внимание уделяется культурному контексту замысла и окончательной редакции, а также рецепции — от известной цитаты из «Евгения Онегина» Пушкина до связи между четырехстопным хореем с чередующимися женскими и мужскими рифмами и интимным или ностальгическим видением имераторской власти в известных стихотворениях XIX-XX вв.Il saggio è uno studio monografico della lirica di Michail Murav’ev Alla dea della Neva (1797), di cui presenta la prima traduzione italiana, un’approfondita discussione della genesi dal manoscritto all’edizione a stampa, l’analisi testuale, metrica, iconografica. The essay is a monographic study of Mikhail Murav’ev’s short poem To the Goddess of the Neva (1797), of which it presents the first Italian translation. An in-depth discussion of the genesis from the manuscript to the printed edition, and the textual, metrical, iconographic analysis follow. Particular attention is paid to the cultural context of the poem genesis and publication, and to its reception, from a very famous quotation in Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin to the association of its meter, the trochaic tetrapody with alternating feminine and masculine rhymes, with an intimate or nostalgic vision of imperial power in famous poems written between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries
