On the Erdős-Pósa property for long holes in C_4-free graphs
We prove that there exists a function f(k)=O(k^2logk) such that for every C4-free graph G and every k∈N, G either contains k vertex-disjoint holes of length at least 6, or a set X of at most f(k) vertices such that G−X has no hole of length at least 6. This answers a question of Kim and Kwon [Erdős-Pósa property of chordless cycles and its applications. JCTB 2020

Selective tumor cell death induced by irradiated riboflavin through recognizing DNA G-T mismatch
Riboflavin (vitamin B2) has been thought to be a promising antitumoral agent in photodynamic therapy, though the further application of the method was limited by the unclear molecular mechanism. Our work reveals that riboflavin was able to recognize G-T mismatch specifically and induce singlestrand breaks in duplex DNA targets efficiently under irradiation. In the presence of riboflavin, the photo-irradiation could induce the death of tumor cells that are defective in mismatch repair system selectively, highlighting the G-T mismatch as potential drug target for tumor cells. Moreover, riboflavin is a promising leading compound for further drug design due to its inherent specific recognition of the G-T mismatch
Saturation magnetizations and Curie temperatures of Co-Zn Y-type ferrites
This work studies the sigma(s) and T-C of Co-Zn mixed Y-type ferrite (BaCo1-xZnxFe6O11, x = 0-1) powders, prepared by the co-precipitation method. The sigma(s, 0 kappa) and T-C change linearly with zinc content. CoY shows the highest T-C (595 K) and the lowest sigma(s, 0 kappa) (32.1 emu/g), while ZnY has the lowest T-C (373 K) and the highest sigma(s, 0 kappa) (73.6 emu/g). At room temperature, however, the maximum sigma(s) appears at around x = 0.75 (34.9 emu/g). The presence of zinc weakens the superexchange interaction, without changing the spin directions of other cations, over the whole composition range. It simply increases the net magnetic moment.X1133sciescopu
f(G,T) and its Cosmological Implications
A coupled formulation of the Gauss-Bonnet invariant term G and the
energy momentum trace T term provide a modified f(G,T) gravity,
has been analyzed in this study. The functional form for the
f(G,T) gravity has been taken as f(G,T)=αT+ βGThe presentation of the authors' names and (or) special characters in the title of the pdf file of the accepted manuscript may differ slightly from what is displayed on the item page.
