Abraham Bosse, the exhibition : Ressource du site Abraham Bosse
The engravings of Abraham Bosse have served as illustrations for French history textbooks throughout the twentieth century and are very famous, even if the name of their author is often forgotten. Abraham Bosse who was a leading writer of the seventeenth century deals with every type of theme, whether it be religion, history, geography, science or illustrations of novels. His sense of detail, the accuracy and the precision of his observation, not devoid of humour, is what has made most of his prints invaluable testimonies of his time, in particular when he deals with the scenes about people at work and daily life. The exhibition contains a total of 340 images that can be browsed or studied in minute detail. In addition there is a feature all about the work of this learned-artist, along with references to line-engraving in Paris in the seventeenth century as well as the engraving techniques

Kate Bosse-Griffiths: Dy bobl di fydd fy mhobl i / Thy people shall be my people
‘Thy people shall be mypeople’: these were the words of Ruth, the Moabitess, of the Old Testament, the ‘model émigré’ who pledged fidelity to another nation. These, too, were the words used by J.Gwyn Griffiths to describe the experience of his Jewish-German wife, Kate Bosse-Griffiths, who was exiled to Britain from Germany in 1936 and through marriage to a Welsh man, dedicated herself to a new life in Welsh-speaking Wales. In a short space of time, she established herself as a recognised Welsh language author who challenged the society in which she lived. There is much more to this woman than the exchange of one culture or identity for another. This study of her life and published works will attempt to unravel the multiple threads that interweave the identity of a Welsh-German woman. Analysis of her unpublished poems may reveal an unprecedented insight into a seemingly complex and yet fascinating woman, whose role as a member of an ethnic minority in Wales deserves closer attention
Examining self-other constructions to advance the social justice goals of leisure research
Community-based participatory research (CBPR) is used increasingly in leisure research to foster equitable relationships and social change, yet individuals who disseminate CBPR remain fraught with the challenges of upholding CBPR’s central values and principles in the daily practices of CBPR. In this analysis we examine the promises and challenges of integrating mental health ‘peer’ research participants into all phases of the CBPR process. While peers’ experiences were largely positive, reflections from team members revealed ongoing tensions in attending to power differences between academic researchers and peers - what the research team called “self-other” constructions. Our efforts to unsettle ‘self-other’ constructions built peers’ capacity and personal growth but perpetuated role distinctions, power inequalities, and tensions around structure and control. These tensions are highly instructive for leisure researchers “to reimagine leisure studies and its role in helping society understand, confront, and address complex social challenges” (Glover, 2015, p. 1).Peer reviewedFinal article publishedDC Author's celebration 2022community-based participatory researchleisure researchsocial justicemental healthcritical reflexivit
Reference Network and Localization Architecture for Smart Manufacturing Based on 5G
5G promises to shift Industry 4.0 to the next level by allowing flexible production. However, many communication standards are used throughout a production site, which will stay so in the foreseeable future. Furthermore, localization of assets will be equally valuable in order to get to a higher level of automation. This paper proposes a reference architecture for a convergent localization and communication network for smart manufacturing that combines 5G with other existing technologies and focuses on high-mix, low-volume applications, particularly at small and medium-sized enterprises. The architecture is derived from a set of functional requirements, and we describe different views on this architecture to show how the requirements can be fulfilled. It connects private and public mobile networks with local networking technologies to achieve a flexible setup addressing many industrial use cases.Green Open Access added to TU Delft Institutional Repository 'You share, we take care!' - Taverne project https://www.openaccess.nl/en/you-share-we-take-care Otherwise as indicated in the copyright section: the publisher is the copyright holder of this work and the author uses the Dutch legislation to make this work public.Mechatronic Desig
Supporting youthworkers in working with a Youth Initiated Mentor Approach
When working with the Youth Initiated Menter (YIM) approach, youth workers have to collaborate with an adult from the network of the youth. Starting to work with this YIM approach is not easy for youth workers. Codesign approach this project has looked into the experiences and struggles of youth workers in working with YIM. Based on the five personas were developed. For three personas two concepts were developed to support them in working with the YIM approach. One concept was a product, an interactive map. The other concept was a service, a YIM event. <br/

Interlude
In this interlude, the author shares her dancing experience with two different partners and how she connects with them. The first is Dean, a single, white, thirty-something astrophysicist, whom she describes as a wonderful smooth dancer and having a good quickstep. Ballroom dance is Dean's way of making a connection, his way of experiencing joy. Her second partner is Sam, a former boyfriend and a tennis coach who taught her author how to play tennis while she taught him how to dance. The author also talks about Toby, the bartender for that night, who takes a break to watch the hustle dancers with her; David, also a bartender; and Genevieve, who manages the banquet aspect of the business at the Regent Ballroom and Banquet Center. Finally, she reflects on her Nightclub two-step with Dean, who dances her afterwards to the water fountain where they began.</p
Bodies in motion: signification, intensities, dance.
In this thesis, the author claims that dance (especially improvisational dance) is a political
practice. Rather than following the familiar trope, where the dancing body stands in as a figure of
liberation, the author draws on theorists such as Michel Foucault, Pierre Klossowski, and Judith
Butler to suggest that bodies in motion are partially determined though discipline, coded
language, and norms of sex and gender. Citing empirical cases of dance performances and the
author’s own practice, she suggests that the body in motion is also partially undetermined by
cultural conventions. She extrapolates from the example of dance improvisation, where the
dancer begins with a norm or loose choreography and, from there, moves into unexpected
territory, to offer an alternative conception of the body. The author argues that bodies in motion
move between extremes of structure and freedom.Graduat
Interlude
In this interlude, the author talks about some of her fellow ballroom dancers at the Regent Ballroom and Banquet Center. She begins with Tony and Sarah, one of the many “empty-nester” couples who arrive at the Regent hoping to reconnect now that their children are grown and gone. When they are on the dance floor, you can see them exchanging gestures of affection and sweetness. Next is Doris, a divorced, independent, small-business owner who runs a seamstress shop from her home. The author then turns to Marty, a middle-aged dentist who says nothing before, during, or after his dance with the author; Don, a computer programmer who works for another ballroom dancer; and Laurie, a lawyer who also competes at the national level in amateur dance competitions with William as her partner. William, one of the most accomplished dancers at the Regent, invites her to dance the rumba.</p
