    As is well known, the B-K test due to Kopec and Bratko (1982) has, for a decade, been the only systematic and published means of assessment of chess-playing programs. This is not to detract from the practical value of Reinfeld’s (1945) 300 positions; the difference is that the latter author’s positions were not collected with a view of being tested by computers. The B-K test (henceforth BKT) has enjoyed wide application and, as is inevitable with the tool of such long standing, has come in for a great deal of criticism as well. Critics have re that it was based on a very limited nutnber of positions (only 24). Proceeding from this fact it has been argued that, first, such a limited number could not provide a representative sample of the hugh set of all positions and, second that the selection of positions had been made in a manner ill-designed to be representative because it had concentrated, intentionally, on configurations bringing out only certain properties of the programs under test. We also note that the scoring in the BKT relies on the notion of best move; this notion may be stnbiguous in sotne positions. The present short note will argue that, in spite of its great age, the BKT still hits definite vsbdily

    V této diplomové práci řeší autor stavebně technologický projekt stavby bytového domu Zlatý kopec v Přezleticích. Autor se zabývá prostorovou, technologickou a časovou strukturou plánování. Diplomová práce obsahuje posouzení úplnosti a správnosti projektové dokumentace. Dále obsahuje schéma postupu výstavby, rozborový list, technologický normál, časoprostorový graf, časový harmonogram, harmonogram nasazení rozhodujících mechanizmů, graf s počtem nasazení pracovníků a graf čerpání financí. Detailněji se zaměřuje na technologický předpis pro zdění a montáž sádrokartonové příčky. Dále navrhuje optimální řešení pro zařízení staveniště, zejména se jedná o výkresy zařízení staveniště v 5 etapách a návrh zařízení staveniště včetně technické zprávy. Cílem této diplomové práce je navrhnout výstavbu objektu v plynulé časové posloupnosti s optimálním nasazení pracovníků a strojů.In this thesis the author demonstrates the structural and technological project of construction of a apartment building Zlatý kopec in Přezletice. The author deals with spatial, technological and temporal sctucture planning. Thesis includes assessing the completeness and accuracy of project documentation. Also includes diagram of the construction process, analytical sheet, technology standard, space-time graph, timetable, schedule the deployment of critical mechanisms graph with the number of worker productivity and graph of financial resources. It is more particularly focused on the technological prescriptions for masonry walls and producing drywall partitions. Also proposes optimal solution for site facilities. It includes drawings of 5-stage construction site facilities, site plant design, including technical reports. The aim of this thesis is to propose the construction of a building in continuous time sequence and optimal deployment of personnel and equipment

    Obytný soubor Červený kopec tvoří novou polyfunkční městskou část města Brna. Urbanisticky vychází ze zástavby Žlutého kopce a Veveří. Historicky se řešené území nachází v místě Kohnovy cihelny, které je dnes brownfieldem. Cílem návrhu bylo vytvoření čitelné a jasně definovatelné městské struktury v návaznosti na navrhovanou síť komunikací.     Implicit large-eddy simulation of the stratocumulus-topped boundary layer: A grid sensitivity study

    A range of implicit large-eddy simulations of the stratocumulus-topped boundary layer is performed to study the influence of grid resolution on selected parameters including liquid water path and second and third moments of vertical velocity fluctuations. The simulations are based on two sets of aircraft measurements, which are also used to evaluate the results of the simulations. The specific case presented here indicates that simulations with a grid aspect ratio accounting for the anisotropic nature of the turbulence near the surface and at the top of the boundary layer lead to better agreement with measurements than simulations with an isotropic grid
