Wingspan 55–56 mm. <i>T</i>. <i>similina</i> is most similar to <i>T</i>. <i>c-album</i>, but differs by larger size, darker and more brownish forewings colouration, absence of whitish suffusion in submedial and medial fields and smaller, less intensive and less diffused whitish area between reniform and outer line. The reniform smaller, formed by two small white basal and distal spots, outlined with black line; subterminal area brown, more distinctly defined compared with <i>T</i>. <i>c-album</i>.</p> <p> <b>Male genitalia</b> (Fig. 101). The male genitalia are most similar to those of <i>T</i>. <i>arctoides</i> by shape of uncus and valva, but differ by a shorter and more massive valva, which is expanded apically, somewhat more massive and more curved harpe, by the structure of juxta and by structure of aedeagus and vesica. Uncus moderate in length, belt like, apically blunt; tegumen somewhat higher than vinculum, broad, bearing prominent penicular extensions; juxta shield-like, rounded; valva with parallel margins and elongated narrow sacculus, roundly oblique distal margin; costa and apex of valva bearing strong setae; harpe strong, curved, lies in apical half of valva. Aedeagus moderate in length, massive, straight, with short scobinate carina; vesica broadly-tubular, projecting dorsally, bearing twin patch of patches of strong cornuti in subapical part.</p> <p>Female unknown.</p> <p> <b>Distribution and bionomy.</b> China (Provs.Yunnan, Sichuan: Qingcheng Shan). The imago of A. parvispina (Figs. 3, 4) can be recognized from the related species by grey with reddish ting wing colour, clearly expressed arched antemedial line, large orbicular and reniform and presence of the row of thin blackish streaks in submedial field. In male genitalia (Fig. 17) it differs by narrower valva, shorter harpe and smaller, hardly traceable digitus; aedeagus with tubular vesica, without diverticula with fine scobination in distal part. The female genitalia (Fig. 24, 25) differ by shallow cup-like antrum and shape of appendix bursae with sclerotised wrinkled cervix in joining with ductus bursae. Distribution and Bionomics. Central Asian. Russia, South Siberia (Tuva, W and E Sayan, Irkutsk reg., Transbaikalia, south of Amur reg., Blagoveschensk); Mongolia, North and West China. Xerothermic species, occurs in dry steppe and forest-steppe biotopes. Notes. The original description of Ammoconia parvispina was published in Latin and German. The typelocality and flight period in the Latin part of the description are stated as “Hab. In terra Sojotorum ad flumen Kemtchik. Volat ad finem mensis Augusti” Two males referred as examined material in German part of the description: “ 2 males Flusse Kemtschik (Zwischen den Gebirgen Sajan und Tannu-Ola gefangen. Zweite Halfte August (P.Sushkin).” One of them is designated above as the lectotype. The type-locality in current interpretation is Russia, Tuva Autonomic Republic, Khemchik river. Since Corti & Draudt (1931 –1938) the species has been treated in the genus Atrachea, while Kononenko (2001, 2005) noted its uncertain position.Published as part of Babics, J., Kononenko, V. Nilssen (Denmark) and J.C. Sohn (Republic Korea).</p> <p> <b>Diagnosis.</b> The new species belongs to the <i>L. polybapta</i> species group. The adult can be distinguished from other species in the group by the bright purplish red-brown ground color of forewing and characteristic wing pattern with white, distinct antemedian line in dorsal part, distinct white postmedian line, and bright orange-reddish patch between antemedian and postmedian line in dorsal part of wing. Male genitalia differ by long clasper-harpe complex, which is equal in length to costa. In female genitalia, the species differs by having a wide, funnel-shaped antrum.</p> <p> <b>Description.</b> Adult (Figs. 9, 10). Wingspan 28–32 mm. Ground color of forewing bright purplish reddishbrown with some magenta tint from base to postmedian line and darker magenta-brown with bluish-grey suffusion in subterminal and terminal fields. Basal line not expressed. Antemedial line thin, whitish, distinct in dorsal part of wing, weakly traceable and widely diffused in costal part, acutely angled towards base; postmedial line arises on dorsum as a narrow, white, oblique slightly diffused bar, narrowing to thin line beyond Cu1 and extending wavely almost to R and angled basally at costa, where it is bordered inside by dark magenta-brown suffusion; orbicular spot not expressed, reniform reduced to small dot; distinct reddish-orange patch lies in medial field at dorsal margin between antemedian and white bar of postmedian line; subterminal field magenta-brown, darker and more greyish in outer part, with pale bluish-grey suffusion in costal part; subterminal line whitish, diffused, indistinct; terminal field magenta-brown, darker in outer and costal parts, with two diffused dark magenta-brown streaks, one of them reaching the subterminal field. Hindwing greyishbrown, with weakly traceable diffused medial and subtermilal bands. <b>Male genitalia</b> (Fig. 29). Uncus relatively thin, curved apically; tegumen higher then vinculum; juxta three-lobed; valva moderately long, slightly constricted medially; transtilla not expressed; costa well developed, in apical part separated from membranous valva; clasper and harpe lie in longitudinal position, along costa, clasper with elongate sclerotized basal plate, harpe long, thin, finger-like; sacculus small, with moderately flattened, stick-like extension which is rounded at apex, slightly longer than half of the valva; apical part of valva membranous, rounded, lobe-like; aedeagus relatively thin, long, vesica large, bulbous, finely scobinated with three wide diverticula, without cornuti. <b>Female genitalia</b> (Fig. 44). Ovipositor short, rather wide, papillae anales moderate, quadrangular; apophyses small, thin, almost equally long; antrum very large and wide, funnel-like; ductus bursae short, flattened, sclerotized, in the region where antrum and corpus bursae are joining membranous; corpus bursae rounded, rather wide, with small cervix in caudal part, without signum.</p> <p> <b>Distribution and biology.</b> (Fig. 53). South of Russian Far East, Korea, North China. In the Far East <i>L. nekrasovi</i> occurs in extreme southern Primorye Territory in woody hillsides in humid deciduous forest with <i>Quercus mongolica</i> and <i>Q. dentata,</i> and in open lowlands with scattered <i>Quercus dentata</i>. Adults fly from mid July to mid August.     Deltote walonga sp. n. (Figs 8, 9, 16, 22) Type material. Holotype: male, China, Yunnan, Lijiang, Wanlong, 2400 m, 10–13.vii. 2009 (H.L. Han & M.J. Qi) [NEFU]; genitalia prep. HHL- 1380 - 1. Paratype: 1 female with same label, genitalia prep. HHL- 1381 - 2. The holotype and paratype are deposited in the collection of Northeast Forestry University, Harbin, China. Diagnosis. No other Palaearctic Eustrotiinae species are similar to D. walonga. Externally the new species resembles D. uncula (Fig. 2), but can easily be separated from it by having cream-yellowish coloration of head and thorax and broad cream-yellowish fields along outer and tornal margins of forewing. Male genitalia of D. walonga are somewhat similar to that of D. bankiana (Fig. 11), but differ from broader penicular lobe, very long thin uncus and more simplified valva. The female genitalia differ from that of other Deltote species in shape of antrum, very long ductus bursae and by presence of short appendix near joining of ductus with corpus bursae. Description. Adult (Fig. 8, 9). Wingspan 17–18 mm. Forewing broad, triangular. Head, palps and thorax yellowishgrey; ground colour of forewing dark greyish-brown; wing pattern formed by large greyish-brown field continued from costal part of wing base to postmedial line and two wide creamy-yellowish fields bordered with thin white bordering lines; the wing pattern of dark field represented by hardly traceable antemedial line, indistinct orbicular and reniform and hardly traceable postmedial line; pale vertical oblique field cross wing from apex to one third of tornal margin; it outlined inwardly by narrow white line and bearing distinct blackish spot on vein M 2; cilia yellowish-grey, blackish in tornal angle; horizontal pale field bearing blackish spot in basal part of wing, outlined in upper part by white line, separated from vertical field by thin blackish line. Hindwing pale yellowish-grey; cilia pale. Male genitalia (Fig. 16). Uncus thin, very long, curved, gradually subtle apically; tegumen broad, with ear-like broad flattened penicular lobes; juxta as vertical plate-like; vinculum broad, U-shaped; valva simple, without extensions, broad basally, slightly constricted medially and broadened apically. Aedeagus with long coecum; carina broad, vesica tubular, without cornuti. Female genitalia (Fig. 22). Ovipositor narrow, quadrangular, apophyses anteriores and posteriores weak, equal in length; antrum funnel-like, weakly sclerotised, ostium oval; ductus bursae thin and very long, equal to corpus bursae in length, weakly, sclerotised, slightly ribbed; corpus bursae rather long, narrower in caudal part, sack-like extended in proximal part, with short appendix near joining of ductus with corpus bursae. Etymology. The species name is referred to its type-locality, Walong village, Prov. Yunnan, China. Distribution. Southwest China, Prov. Yunnan. The species is known only from its type-locality. Mesophilous species occurs in open meadows and forest edges at elevation 2400 m.     Araeopteron ussurica sp. n. (Figs. 9, 10, 17) Material examined. Holotype, male, RUSSIA, Primorye terr. Gornotaezhnoe, 17.vii. 1994 (V. Kononenko), genit. prep. 5869 M. Fibiger, coll. M. Fibiger (to be deposited in ZMUC). Paratypes: 1 male, Primorye terr., Chuguevsky reg., 60 km E Zavetnoe, 24–26.vii. 2002 (D. Nilsson & K. Larsen), genit. prep. 5747 M. Fibiger, coll. D. Nilsson. Diagnosis. A. ussirica is distinguishable from other East Asiatic Araeopteron species by its small size; the whitish patches on forewing; the shape of the apically club-like sacculus; the low, hill-like ampulla; the short, broad aedeagus; and the narrow patch on the vesica, with many small cornuti. Description. Adult (Figs. 9, 10). Wingspan 9.5–10.5 mm. Antennae without lamellae, with scales. Labial palps strongly upturned, 3 rd segment 2.0 times as long as 2 nd. Head small, eyes large. Head, patagia, thorax, and ground colour of forewing and hindwing dark grey, forewing strongly suffused with white scales, especially at basal and costal area, hindwing powdered with many white scales; both wings with discal spots. All crosslines present, well marked, especially the medial shadow; terminal line on both wings prominently indicated by black interveinal spots. Underside unicolorous grey, without pattern. Colour of abdomen basally and apically grey, medially dark grey. Male genitalia (Fig. 17). Uncus relatively long, slightly and smoothly curved; membranous part of valva relatively short, broadest 2 / 3 from base, there smoothly rounded; sacculus curved ventrally, club-like apically, tip rounded; clasper fused to sacculus, with arched, low hill-like ampulla. Aedeagus short and broad, vesica with narrow spined patch, with many small, narrow cornuti. Female unknown. Distribution. Russian Far East, southern and central part of Primorye terr. (Fig. 38). Etymology. Differs from other Ortopla species by more robust body, wings dark blackish-brown with grey, wing pattern coarser and blackish and darker hindwing. Male genitalia differ by extremely broad valva, arrow-like juxta, straight, elongate aedeagus with tubular vesica bearing basal diverticulum and large, finely spined patch centrally. Description. Adult (Figs 8, 9, 24, 25). Wingspan 46–49 mm. Palps large, upcurved over head, their 3 rd segment moderate, about half length of 2 nd, in female 3 rd segment larger than in male; palps covered with elongate grey-brown scales, 3 rd segment covered with fine scales, with yellowish apical brush in male. Tegulae and patagia covered with brown-grey scales, mixed with yellowish, bordered by pale grey. Female colouration not differing from that of male, but wing pattern more distinct. Forewing dark grey-brown with blackish-brown wing pattern. Subbasal line pale, bordered with wide blackish-brown subbasal field; medial field greyish-brown with blackish indistinct orbicular and dark suffusion along anal vein; antemedial line pale, double, with medial extension, bordered outwardly with dark blackish suffusion in costal part; subterminal line indistinct or represented by indistinct dentate line; subterminal field dark-brownish with blackish-brown dashes; subterminal line as broken triangular streaks; terminal field blackish-brown, cilia brown. Hindwing dark, in basal part yellowish-grey with blackish-brown suffusion; subterminal line waved, terminal field wide, blackish-brown. Male genitalia. (Fig. 41). Uncus very large, curved basally and subapically, terminated by sclerotised hook; subscaphium strong, not extended apically; tegumen broad, about one third longer than sacculus; juxta arrow-like; transtilla as sclerotised band; valva extremely broad, with parallel margins, rounded apically. Aedeagus large, straight; vesica tubular, tapered apically, with basal diverticulum and central finely scobinated patch. Female genitalia. (Fig. 49) Papillae anales moderate, quadrangular; apophyses anteriores somewhat shorter than posteriores ones; antrum small, funnel-like, slightly sclerotised; ductus bursae moderate in length, slightly sclerotised in basal part; corpus bursae sack-like, with small slightly sclerotised bulla near joining with ductus bursae. Etymology. Dedicated to Thomas Witt, founder of the Witt Museum Distribution. Philippines (Islands Luzon, Masabate, Mindanao, Leyte, Panay and Palawan).     <i>Lacanobia chayu</i> sp. n. <p>(Figs 6, 7, 8)</p> <p> <b>Type material</b>. Holotype: male, China, Aut. Reg. Xizang, Chayu, Dangxiatong, 12.v.2015, Hui Lin Han leg.; male genitalia, slide HHL-3814-1 (coll. NEFU).</p> <p> <b>Diagnosis.</b> <i>Lacanobia chayu</i> <b>sp. n.</b> is more robust and much larger in size compared with other species of the genus (wingspan of the holotype 49 mm vs 35–42 mm of the average wingspan among <i>Lacanobia</i> spp.). It clearly differs from its congeners by dark blackish forewing colour with light bluish-grey dusting and black main elements of wing pattern formed by thin lines and clearly milky white colour of hindwing. Externally the new species somewhat resembling European <i>Aporophyla nigra</i> (Haworth) (Noctuidae, Xyleninae, tribe Antitypini) (Fig. 13), but belongs to the subfamily Noctuinae, tribe Hadenini of Noctuidae. Most <i>Lacanobia</i> species have greyish or greyish-brown with reddish colouration of forewing and ordinary greyish-brown hindwing. Some species of the tribe Hadenini [like <i>Polia mortua</i> (Staudinger), <i>Mamestra persicariae</i> (Linnaeus), <i>M. postabla</i> Sugi (Figs 14–16) and some other] externally resemble <i>Lacanobia chayu</i> <b>sp. n.</b> by dark coloration of forewing, but the blackish forewing in combination with the clear white hindwing is really unique in these groups. The new species could not be confused with any other species of the tribe Hadenini.</p> <p> By our opinion the new species could be placed in the genus <i>Lacanobia</i> (subgenus <i>Diataraxia</i>), whose typespecies is <i>L</i>. (<i>D</i>.) <i>splendens</i> Hübner. The the genitalia configuration of <i>L. chayu</i> <b>sp. n.,</b> however, is not a typical for <i>Lacanobia</i> and its position in the genus requires further clarification. The genitalia characters of the new species show its closest relation to <i>L. behouneki</i> Hreblay & Plante (Figs 10–12).</p> <p> We place the new species to the genus <i>Lacanobia</i>, subgenus <i>Diataraxia</i> by its external characters and structure of male genitalia generally matched with those of subgenus <i>Diataraxia</i> species, namely by shape of valva with separated distal part, by structure of harpe and structure and shape of aedeagus and vesica shared with other species of the subgenus. The only autapomorphic character in the new species is the huge cornutus on the vesica.</p> <p> <b>Description. Adult</b> (Figs 8, 9). Wingspan 49 mm. Head and thorax blackish with dusting of bluish-grey scales; eyes with dense hairs; tegulae and patagia bordered with black; forewing elongate, triangular; ground colour of forewing greyish with very light bluish-grey tint, wing pattern formed with black lines. Basal field restricted by thin black line in costal area; basal streak expressed, thin; submedial line black, twin with thin bordering inside; medial field with clearly expressed large orbicular, reniform and claviform connected with postmedial line by black streak; orbicular large, slightly paler than background, formed with thin bordered line; reniform large, bordered with thin black line joined with bordering of orbicular in basal part, pale-grey inside; postmedial line thin, black, slightly waved; subterminal field with very light reddish tint; subterminal line as a row of long triangular streaks; terminal field with row of thin black streaks, joined with terminal line; terminal line thin, black; cilia blackish. Hindwing milky-white with greyish dusting along terminal margin and thin dark grey terminal line; discal spot hardly traceable; cilia greyish. <b>Male genitalia.</b> (Fig. 17). Uncus similar to those in <i>L. splendens</i>: rather short, curved basally, straight, duck beak-like, covered with short strong setae and long hairs in basal part; tegumen moderate broad, equal to vinculum in length; paratergal sclerits ribbon-like, bended; juxta deltoid; transtilla ribbonlike; valva moderate in length and wide, slightly curved, with smooth costal projection, clear cucullus neck, narrow apical part of valva, ending by thin, pointed extension; sacculus with prominent basal cut; clasper strong, rib-like; harpe strong, arched, with broad base and very small pointed ventro-basal extension and larger short finger-like dorsal extension; cucullus relatively short, bearing patch of strong setae on costal margin near apex, ended with thin pointed process. Aedeagus large, strongly sclerotised, with short ribbon-like carina; vesica tubular, projecting on straight angle to aedeagus, armed with one large needle-like cornutus, four gathered needle-like cornuti and several week hair-like cornuti.</p> <p>Female unknown.</p> <p> <b>Etymology.</b> The species in named by its type-locality, Chayu village in the Xizang Autonomic Region of China.</p> <p> <b>Distribution</b>. Antennae of male ciliate; those of female also ciliate, with shorter lamellae. Proboscis fully developed; eyes large, round; lower part of clypeofrons with deciduous scales; head above this area with long brown scales; coal-black scales between antennae and above on head and patagia; thorax and ground colour of forewing grey, suffused with brown scales, including fringes; all cross-lines present, well marked; postmedial area blackish brown; terminal line marked by small, black intervenal dots; reniform stigma dark brown, with four black spots; orbicular stigma absent. Hindwing blackish brown, with a narrow medial line, and a broad blackish subterminal band; fringes brown, outwards gradually whitish. Underside light brown, with medial lines and blackish postmedial bands on both wings; reniform stigma light brown, narrow, outlined by dark brown. <b>Male genitalia</b> (Figs. 9, 12). Uncus relatively short, much shorter compared to <i>L. ludicra</i> (Figs. 11, 14) and <i>L. maxima</i> (Figs. 10, 13); distal part of uncus subapically high; tegumen long, three times longer then vinculum; saccus short, apically broad, V-shaped; juxta anchor-shaped; valva narrow, much narrower than in <i>L. maxima</i> and <i>L. ludicra</i>; harpe finger-like, parallel with valva margins, placed distally; phallus long and narrow; vesica with multiple small diverticula, a few of them long and broad. <b>Female genitalia</b> (Fig. 17). Ovipositor lobes broadly triangular, setose; apophyses equally long and narrow, stick-like; ostium wide; antrum long, V-shaped, longer than in <i>L. ludicra</i> (Fig. 19), but shorter than in <i>L. maxima</i>, heavily sclerotised; ductus bursae short, cylindrical; corpus bursae pear-shaped, relatively larger than in <i>L. maxima</i> (Fig. 18).</p> <p> <b>Biology.</b> <i>L. dubatolovi</i> occurs in rich broadleaved forests with open grass meadows (Fig. 22); all specimens were collected by UV light from late July to the beginning of August. The early stages are unknown.</p> <p> <b>Distribution</b> (Fig. 23). The species is known from two localities from the Primorye Territory of Russian Far East, and from Liaoning Province in North China.</p> <p> <b>Etymology.</b> Name for the Russian lepidopterist, Vladimir Viktorovich Dubatolov (Senior Researcher, Institute for Systematics and Ecology of Animals, Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk; curator of Lepidoptera, Siberian Zoological Museum).</p> <p> <b>Notes.</b> <i>L. dubatolovi</i> is distinguished by a medial shadow, which is fused below the reniform, and is separated from that point into two gradually widening bands to the ventral margin; the costal patch of the postmedial area is narrow; the postmedial line is present though blurred; and the hindwing has a medial line, present at both wings on the underside. In the male genitalia, the uncus is relatively short; the distal part of the uncus is subapically high; the valva is narrow; and the vesica has a long and broad diverticulum.     <i>Donda hunana</i> sp. n. <p>(Figs 1, 2, 9, 14)</p> <p> <b>Type material</b>. <b>Holotype:</b> male, China, Prov. Hunan, Mt. Badagong, v.2018, Y.H. Wu, L. Qiu, W. Xiao, genitalia slide HHL-4046-1. Paratypes: 1 male, 4 females, China, Prov. Hunan, Mt. Huping, vi.2018, M.W. Liao, H.N. Zhuang, genitalia slides HHL-4075-1 (male), HHL-4047-2 (female).</p> <p> <b>Diagnosis.</b> In the diagnosis we compare the new species with the externally similar Oriental <i>Belciana biformis</i> (Walker, 1862), the type species of <i>Belciana</i> (Fig. 4, 14, 16) and with <i>Donda continentalis</i> (Figs 3, 10, 15), the only other <i>Donda</i> species known from China. Externally, <i>D. hunana</i> is diagnosed by pale green forewing colouration with a light bluish tint; pattern elements and pale-yellowish hindwing the new species resemble <i>B. biformis</i> (Figs 4, 13, 16). However, <i>D. hunana</i> differs from the <i>B. biformis</i> by the clearly expressed antemedial line, wide brown patches in subterminal and terminal fields and clear dark terminal band on hindwing.). <i>D. hunana</i> differs from described <i>Donda</i> species (including <i>D. continentalis</i>) (Fig. 3) by its paler overall wing colouration, quadrangular shape of subbasal fascia, clearly expressed antemedial line and broad brown subterminal and terminal fields with pale green patches around veins M 3 and Cu 1. In the male genitalia (Fig. 9) the new species differs from known all <i>Donda</i> species (including <i>D. continentalis</i>) (Fig. 10) in the shape of the juxta (narrow, without central longitudinal gutter and lateral flaps); the shape of the valva (broader than in <i>D. continentalis</i>, not tapered apically, with moderate broad cucullus); the sacculus without long saccular extension; the central part of valva with a larger hook-like harpe; and the shape and armature of aedeagus and vesica (tubular, without medial diverticulum, with minute cornuti in the base of vesica in <i>D. hunana</i> vs tubular, with medial diverticulum and few strog cornuti in the base of vesica and patch of small cornuti on medial diverticulum in other described <i>Donda</i> species).</p> <p> The female genitalia (Fig. 14) of the new species differ from those of <i>D. continentalis</i> (Fig. 15) by splitted with, lateral flaps shape of the antrum (vs unsplitted antrum in <i>D. continentalis</i>, straight ductus bursae, and shape of sclerotised patch of the ductus bursae, which is much llonger, but narrover than in <i>D. continentalis</i>.</p> <p> <b>Description.</b> Adult (Figs 1, 2). Wingspan of male 42–43 mm, female 46 mm. Head and basal segment of antennae covered with pale brownish scales; labial palps rather long, grey-yellowish, laterally grey-brownish; labial palps brown, 3rd segment of palps stick-like moderately long, about half or third of length of the 2nd, pale grey-brownish; tegulae brown, patagia salad-green, bordered with black, thorax salad-green; abdomen pale, greyish-salad-green, with abdominal crest; terminal segments of male abdomen pale-yellowish. Ground colour of forewing salad-green, wing pattern formed by three prominent brown patches in costal part of subbasal field, in subterminal and terminal area and in tornal angle; costal margin white; basal line as small black patch, subbasal fascia as almost quadrat black-brown patch reaching Cu- trunk and black dot in lateral margin of wing; antemedial line marked as thin blackish line; medial line marked as twin blackish patch above reniform and continues as thin indistinct transverse blackish line; reniform and orbicular marked as tin black dot or thin black vertical streak surrounded with white (in worn specimens they are not obvious); postmedial line distinct, black, with deep invagination on M 2 -Cu 1 area subterminal field brown, with salad-green patch in M 2 -Cu 1; terminal field brown, with traceable salad-green subterminal dashes; terminal line as row of blackish-brown dashes; fringes speckled, dark blackish brown and pale yellowish-brown. Hindwing pale yellowish-grey with broad somewhat fuscous terminal band, weak, but traceable medial line and small vertical blackish discal spot and whitish W-like anal mark outlined with blackish. Underside of forewing pale yellowish grey with darker medial and terminal area; hindwing with diffused discal spot and terminal band.</p> <p> <b>Male genitalia.</b> (Fig. 9). Uncus moderately long, straight, curved basally, hooked apically; subscaphium membranous; tegumen with broad shoulders and peniculus; paratergal sclerite slightly curved, flat; juxta rather narrow, arrow tip shaped, without flaps and gutter unlike to other <i>Donda</i> species; valva relatively long, straight and slightly curved in apical third, with broad clasper medially, abruptly constricted apically; costa strong; sacculus moderately long, clasper large, flat, plate-like, with large pointed apical extension; harpe moderately large, hooked apically; cucullus with prominent neck, slightly extended apically, bearing setae. Aedeagus straight; carina ribbon-like; vesica projecting dorsally, tubular, without diverticula, bearing subbasal patches of small cornuti dorsally and laterally.</p> <p> <b>Female genitalia.</b> (Fig. 14). Ovipositor moderately broad, quadrangular; apophyses anteriores and posteriores ones moderately long, almost equal in length; antrum well expressed, plate-like, split medially, with two lateral lobes and deep rounded cut; proximal part of ductus bursae membranous, medial part sclerotised and cervix bursae with a small sclerotised patch at juncture with corpus bursae; corpus bursae rounded, membranous.</p> <p> <b>Etymology.</b> The species name refers to the discovery of the species in the Hunan Province, China.</p> <p> <b>Distribution</b>. The species is known only from its type-locality, Mt. Badagong and Mt. Huping in Hunan province of China. Its occurs in zone of broad-leaved forest at elevation 1500–1800 m.
