Dante’s Davidic journey: from sinner to psalmist
Dante’s debt to the Psalms—the biblical book that, to many of its interpreters, contained the wisdom of the whole Bible in its words— is widely acknowledged, as is the influence of the biblical figure whom he believed to be its single author: King David.¹ In Dante’s time, David was considered a sinner, a penitent, a just man, and an exemplary ruler. He was the psalmist, a divinely inspired auctor, a prophet, and a figure of Christ to come

In a world of text, is the author King? The revolutionary potential of wiki (open content) technologies
Internet enthusiasts have predicted that Internet technologies would
facilitate global and multi-directional information sharing, promote political
participation, increase global awareness of injustice, and allow the construction of
an ‘electronic global village’. In this paper, I argue that in spite of early
revolutionary claims, simple Internet connectivity has not brought about any
radical break with the values and power structures of modernity. I suggest,
however, that recently emerging Internet-dependent open content and open source
technologies (such as wikis), promise to fulfill some of these earlier revolutionary
claims by decentralizing production of online information, and challenging current
definitions of “authoritative” knowledge.Arts, Faculty ofScience, Faculty ofReviewedResearche
Analysis of Imapct of Bike Marathon on the Glucose Level in Intersticial Fluid in Patient with Type 1 Diabetes
Aim: The aim of this thesis was to describe the influence of continuous physical activity on glycemic control in patients with type 1 diabetes when cycling mountain bike marathon. Furthermore, based on acquired knowledge and zkonzultovaných experts outline preskribci for additional physical burden of a similar nature. Method: Continuous glucose in interstitial fluid was performed using invasive sensor CGMS (Continuous Glucose Monitoring System) from MiniMed. Continuous monitoring was held by thirty cyclists with type 1 diabetes before, during, and after the cycling marathon mountain bike Author King of Sumava. Monitoring total length was 76 hours 10 minutes. Keywords: Type 1 diabetes, the body burden sensor CGMS, glycemia, cycling MTB marathon Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org

Stephen King and vampires
In 1975, author Stephen King invited the vampire into modern-day America in his second novel Salem’s Lot. Thirty-five years later, he was instrumental in the creation of the mythology behind the first American Vampire, Skinner Sweet, in the Vertigo comic series by Scott Snyder and Rafael Albuquerque. In his Foreword to the first issue of American Vampire, King outlined his conception of bloodsuckers, stating that they should be “stone killers who never get enough of that tasty Type-A” (2011). Across his almost 50 year career as America’s bestselling horror author, King has returned to the idea of the vampire multiple times, presenting it in a variety of very different, but always evil, guises. This chapter explores the various incarnations of the vampire from Kurt Barlow in Salem’s Lot to Chet Ondowsky in If It Bleeds (2020) and examines King’s conception of the vampire, the purpose the vampire plays in his stories, and how King bends and shapes vampiric tradition and lore for his own purposes
Sustainable digital leap: a bibliometric study on its impact on human learning and organizational development in the MENA region
Abstract The study aims to explore how sustainable digital transformation affects human learning and organizational development in MENA region using bibliometric analysis. The researchers used Scopus and WOS databases for data extraction. The researcher analyzed the cumulative data using performance analysis, and scientific mapping with VOS Viewer software. The findings indicated that Blau, I from Israel is the leading author, King Faisal University from Saudi Arabia is the most productive institution, “International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning” is the most productive journal, and “Investigating users’ perspectives on e-learning: An integration of TAM and IS success” is the highly cited article in target domain. Furthermore, the scientific mapping indicated that Saudi Arabia has highest co-author country collaboration. Finally, E-learning is the high co-occurred keyword because of collaborative research from MENA region for the subject. The study provides most productive author, institutions, journal, articles, country, and keyword in order to understand the literature for the impact of sustainable digital transformation on human learning and organizational development from MENA region
An Empirical Study of Horror in Stephen King’s The Stand
Modern horror fiction would not be complete without the landmark works and ideas of author Stephen King. According to the famous critic Hank Wagner the universe of Stephen King is an incredible place of grotesque terror, dark magic and fearsome wonder, a great multiverse conjured from one individual’s imagination. That’s why Stephen King is known as the modern American writer of contemporary horror fiction whose books are widely sold and acknowledged. We can experience all these aspects in the novel The Stand written by Stephen King. The novel The Stand is best described as epic fantasy and this novel is compared with the fantasy novels of J. R. R. Tolkien and E. R. Eddison as well as Milton’s Paradise Lost, Thomas Mann’s The Magic Mountain. The Stand is apocalyptic and post-apocalyptic novel. The Stand talks about the modern mythology, painting the conflict between good and evil. However the main theme of this novel The Stand is not about the flu but the author King who focuses on the world after this modern Black Plague. The highlight of this novel is the war among the good and the evil. This is characterized by Christian theology and outside forces of unnamed fate. King puts forward serious issues of the human condition and human nature as he establishes the framework of his narrative, illustrating his ability to tell an engaging story and makes readers to think about the potential future of mankind. I hope that this research paper will lend new insight to the study of The Stand
