However, little is known about the bioactive substances of yeasts. In recent years, it has been found that Rhodotorulaglutinisyeast have wide applications as biocontrol and other fields. One of the main characteristics shared among Bacillus strains is the ability to produce a wide range of antimicrobial compounds active against bacteria and fungi. Even though microbial control exerted by these metabolites was demonstrated in plant environments, few reports focused their attention on how these compounds can interact with food microbiota. Therefore, Rhodotorulaglutinis yeast, and the applications of yeasts themselves and the bioactive substances they produced are reviewed in this paper
Non commutative version of arithmetic geometric mean inequality and crossed product of ternary ring of operators
Get PDF"This thesis is structured into two parts. In the first two chapters, we prove the non commutative version of the Arithmetic Geometric Mean (AGM) inequality (this is a joint work with Mingyue Zhao and Maruis Junge). We start Chapter 2 by giving some background about the partition and M{\""o}bius function. We then prove the two main theorems: The AGM inequality for the norm and for the order. In Chapter 3, we provide some applications from random matrices such as Wishart random matrices, vector-valued moments of convex bodies, and freely independent operators.
The second part is about a ternary ring of operators (TRO). After giving a quick survey for the work of Todorov on the operator space version of Zettl's decomposition theorem, we introduce crossed products of ternary ring of operators (the full crossed product and the reduced crossed product). We also prove that as the off-diagonal corner of the -algebra . Equivalently, we have the -isomorphism between the two linking -algebras, i.e. By using this identity, we obtain that if the group is amenable, some local properties for TRO's preserve with the crossed product. We also provide a counter example which shows that if the linking -algebras and are -isomorphic or if their diagonal components are -isomorphic, then their TRO's are not isomorphic. Effect of Educational Intervention on Pediatric Diabetes self Care Practices
No full textAbstract: Background: Diabetes mellitus is among the most common chronic illnesses in childhood, it is a chronic metabolic condition affecting the child’s physical and physiological growth and development. Aim of the study: Study the effect of educational intervention on pediatric diabetes self care practices. Research design: A quasi experimental design (one group pre/post test) was used in the study. Settings: The present study was carried out at pediatric outpatient unit affiliated to Suez Canal University Hospitals and Health Insurance Hospital at Ismailia city. Sample: A non probability purposive sample (30) of diabetic children at the previously mentioned settings. Tools for data collection: The data were collected using two tools namely structured interview questionnaire and observational checklists to assess diabetes self care practices. Results: There was statistically significant difference in the total mean scores of satisfactory knowledge and self care practice pre/immediate post educational intervention. The total satisfactory knowledge was 100% immediate post educational intervention compared with 6.7% pre intervention. The total satisfactory level of self care practice was 100% immediate post educational intervention compared with 63.3% pre educational intervention. Conclusion: The educational intervention had a positive effect on children's diabetes self care practices. Recommendations: Periodic educational interventions are required to achieve positive change on diabetic children's self care practices.

Relationship between Nurses' Emotional Intelligence and Their Organizational Citizenship Behaviors
No full textAbstract: Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been related to a number of positive work outcomes including organizational citizenship behaviors (OCBs). It seems that organizational behavior of each nurse is strongly influenced by EI. Aim: To determine the relationship between nurses’ EI and their organizational citizenship behaviors. Methods: A descriptive, correlational research design was utilized in all inpatient medical, surgical and critical care units at Kafr El-Dawar General hospital, El-Beheira, Egypt, for all staff nurses who will be available at the time of data collection .Tools: two tools were used: Tool Ι: Wong and Law EI Scale (WLEIS) and a demographic characteristics data sheet; Tool Π: Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) Scale. Results: Staff nurses have moderate mean percent score of total EI and have high mean percent score of total OCB. Also, there are positive highly significant relationships between total EI and its dimensions and total OCB and its dimensions. Conclusion: there was highly statistically positive relationship between total EI of the nurses and their organizational citizenship behaviors at Kafr El-Dawar General hospital. Recommendations: Study the impact of managers’ leadership style on nursing staff perception of OCB.
