Will biological agents supplant systemic glucocorticoids as the first-line treatment for thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy?
In this article, the two authors present their opposing points of view concerning the likelihood that glucocorticoids will be replaced by newly developed biological agents in the treatment of active, moderate-to-severe thyroid-associated ophthalmopathy (TAO). TAO is a vexing, disfiguring and potentially blinding autoimmune manifestation of thyroid autoimmunity. One author expresses the opinion that steroids are nonspecific, frequently fail to improve the disease and can cause sometimes serious side effects. He suggests that glucocorticoids should be replaced as soon as possible by more specific and safer drugs, once they become available. The most promising of these are biological agents. The other author argues that glucocorticoids are proven effective and are unlikely to be replaced by biologicals. He reasons that while they may not uniformly result in optimal benefit, they have been proven effective in many reports. He remains open minded about alternative therapies such as biologicals but remains skeptical that they will replace steroids as the first-line therapy for active, moderate-to-severe TAO without head-to-head comparative clinical trials demonstrating superiority. Despite these very different points of view, both authors are optimistic about the availability of improved medical therapies for TAO, either as single agents or in combination. Further, both agree that better treatment options are needed to improve the care of our patients with active moderate-to-severe TAO

Political inertia on higher education and questions for a public inquiry
This study reviews the media discussion of tertiary education during and after the 2016 federal election. It identifies a series of key questions which went largely unanswered by politicians. Supported by comments from fellow Research Associates of the TJ Ryan Foundation, Scott argues that there is a role for a wide-ranging public inquiry as a basis for establishing an ongoing independent authority to safeguard the wider public interest. This needs to be broader in scope than the current federal government review of funding options
Researching cybercrimes: methodologies, ethics and critical approaches
This edited book promotes and facilitates cybercrime research by providing a cutting-edge collection of perspectives on the critical usage of online data across platforms, as well as the implementation of both traditional and innovative analysis methods. The accessibility, variety and wealth of data available online presents substantial opportunities for researchers from different disciplines to study cybercrimes and, more generally, human behavior in cyberspace. The unique and dynamic characteristics of cyberspace often demand cross-disciplinary and cross-national research endeavors, but disciplinary, cultural and legal differences can hinder the ability of researchers to collaborate. This work also provides a review of the ethics associated with the use of online data sources across the globe. The authors are drawn from multiple disciplines and nations, providing unique insights into the value and challenges evident in online data use for cybercrime scholarship. It is a key text for researchers at the upper undergraduate level and above
Improvement of formability for the incremental sheet metal forming process
In order to obtain competitiveness in the held of industrial manufacture, a reduction in the development period for the small batch manufacture of products is required. In order to meet these requirements, an incremental sheet metal forming process has been developed. In this process, a small local region of a sheet blank deforms incrementally by moving a hemispherical head tool over an arbitrary surface. In this work, an incremental sheet metal forming process controlled three dimensionally by a computer has been accomplished. It has been shown by the experiments that a sheet blank is mainly subject to shear-dominant deformation. Therefore, the final thickness strain can be predicted. The uniformity of thickness throughout the deformed region is one of the key factors to improve the formability in the sheet metal forming processes. Using the predicted thickness strain distribution, the intermediate geometry is decided in the manner that a shear deformation is restrained in the highly shear-deformed region and vice versa. This double-pass forming method is found to be very effective so that the thickness strain distribution of a final shape can be made more uniform. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved
Visitor Satisfaction at PAS TJ Grape Plantation Agrotourism in Singkawang
Background: PAS TJ Grape Plantation Agrotourism analyses visitor satisfaction to improve services and attract more visitors.Purpose: This research analyses visitor satisfaction levels at PAS TJ Grape Plantation Agrotourism in Singkawang. By utilising the 7A+1S framework (attraction, amenities, Ancillary services, activity, accessibility, available package, accommodation, and sustainability), this research evaluates the factors influencing visitor experiences. The findings are expected to provide recommendations for managers to enhance service quality and the attractiveness of agrotourism, thereby supporting sustainable agrotourism.Design/methodology/approach: This research employs a nonprobability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique on 40 respondents. Data were collected through structured questionnaires and analysed using descriptive statistical methods. Validity and reliability tests were conducted, along with the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance-Performance Analysis (IPA), to assess visitor satisfaction and service performance.Findings/result: Based on the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Importance Performance Analysis (IPA), visitor satisfaction at PAS TJ Grape Plantation reached 81.22%, categorised as "very satisfied." While visitors generally have a positive experience, some aspects need improvement. The IPA results highlight the availability of a canteen, road conditions, and supporting infrastructure as key concerns, as they are essential but underperforming. Meanwhile, other attributes meet or exceed expectations. Addressing these gaps, particularly those in Quadrant I (high importance, low performance), is crucial for enhancing visitor satisfaction. Conclusion: Overall, the attributes of PAS TJ Grape Plantation agrotourism in Singkawang are very satisfying for visitors. However, improvements in facilities and infrastructure are needed to enhance visitor satisfaction and attract more visitors in the future.Originality/value (State of the art): This research contributes to developing a visitor satisfaction analysis methodology by applying the 7A+1S approach, which has not been widely used in agritourism. Focusing on PAS TJ Grape Plantation Agrotourism, this research is expected to serve as a reference for developing sustainable agritourism in other regions.

TJ-ACA: An Advanced Cryptographic Algorithm forColor Images using
ABSTRACT-Presently, cryptography of images is of high concern due to highly confidential information contained in it. Image encryption is difficult as compared to text encryption because of high correlation among pixels and bulk information capacity. A newly proposed algorithm based on symmetric key algorithm, TJ-ACA, an advanced cryptographic algorithm will make use of pixel position alteration, and pixel intensity surrogation through which a visually changed image i.e. encrypted image is obtained. In this algorithm, ikeda mapping and various methods are used to get highly secure image. To increase the security ikeda mapping is done at five different values instead of single value. This proposed algorithm is applicable for color images and also for images on which steganography has been applied and by this method we get lossless decrypted image. This method resists Brute Force attack. TJ-ACA can be applied to all sizes images which can be used in medical, aerial application
