Private International Law Aspects of Freezing Injunctions
The Commercial Court in London is frequently dealing with applications for a freezing injunction. The vast majority of academic literature and court decisions directly or indirectly adopt the view that freezing injunctions have stood the test of time and are so frequently granted in commercial litigation that there is no need for any serious concern about their scope, let alone the need to identify and question the legitimacy of the justifications for their existence. Contrary to the traditional view, this thesis has identified equipage equality as the primary function of freezing injunctions. This recognition that freezing injunctions seek to establish a level-playing field in litigation has led the author to conclude that the current scope of the relief is excessively claimant-friendly and involves illegitimate interference with the sovereignty of foreign states. Taking into account the tactical reasons for seeking a freezing injunction, the author challenges the current interpretation of the substantive preconditions for granting the relief. Their current interpretation does not strike a fair balance between the interests of the parties. The author argues that these concerns are exacerbated by the current international scope of freezing injunctions due to the insufficient regard for the principles of public international law. The encroachment on the jurisdiction of foreign states undermines equipage equality by enabling claimants to make multiple applications for interim relief in respect of the same assets. In the light of the above, the author has sought to make a range of proposals to restrict the scope of freezing injunctions with the aim of bringing the relief in line with equipage equality
Ideal Bayesian Observer with reduced detectability map
Title: Ideal Bayesian Observer with reduced detectability map Author: Josef Amemori Department: Department of Software and Computer Science Education Supervisor: Mgr. Filip Děchtěrenko, Department of Software and Computer Science Education Abstract: A computational modeling of the human vision is a challenging task. In recent years, a biologically inspired model Ideal Bayesian Observer was created for the visual search task (Najemnik & Geisler, 2005). The model predicts eye movements when searching for Gabor patch in 1/f noise. In their work, they observed similarity between distributions of fixations and saccades predicted by Ideal Bayesian Observer and distributions of fixations and saccades from a human observer. In this work, we have implemented Ideal Bayesian Observer with degenerated visual field and compared the model with behavior of a human. Keywords: Ideal Bayesian Observer, eye movements, modeling, central scotom
Loyalty Programs. Role, Structure and Potential Benefits
A loyalty program consists of an integrated system of marketing activities, aimed at increasing members’ loyalty by rewarding customers according to their purchasing frequency and amount spent. Loyalty schemes, customer clubs and sales promotion techniques are the most common relationship tools used in marketing practice. To join the program and receive a card, consumers must fill in a registration form, providing demographic, behavioural or even psychographic data. Loyalty schemes and customer clubs offer long lasting benefits to participants. Sales promotion techniques can be used both as tools to attract new customers, as well as instruments to stimulate repurchase behaviour. The potential of a loyalty scheme to achieve members depends mainly on rewards value, diversity and timing. Similar, the success of clubs depends on whether customers perceive enough relational benefits according to their personal interests. Although currently, loyalty programs have become very popular, programs effectiveness and implicitly the managerial decision to implement them are determined by different factors, including: homogeneity of supply and products purchase frequency, competition and consumer demand characteristics and the internal environment of the company.Customer clubs, loyalty schemes, relationship marketing, rewards, sales promotion techniques
Colias erate

Colias erate (Esper, 1805)

—The species was reported for the first time in Montenegro by Sobczyk & Gligorović (2016). In order to verify this record, the author contacted Mr. Sobczyk who kindly provided photographs of the two specimens identified as C. erate, which turned out to actually be specimens of C. crocea f. helice. Owing to this unfortunate error, C. erate is not included in the current list of the butterflies of Montenegro. Its presence, however, cannot be completely discarded, especially in the northern parts of the country. The species is widespread in Serbia, mainly in northern areas (Miljević & Popović 2014) where it can be abundant (Franeta pers. obs.), while it has not been reported from Bosnia and Herzegovina (Lelo 2016) or Albania (Verovnik & Popović 2013).
Published as part of Franeta, Filip, 2018, Checklist of the butterflies (Lepidoptera: Papilionoidea) of Montenegro, pp. 128-148 in Zootaxa 4392 (1) on page 137, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4392.1.6, http://zenodo.org/record/1195491

Constraining instantaneous fluxes and integrated compositions of fluvially discharged organic matter. Geochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, 19, 2453 2462. doi: 10.1029/2018GC007539.Fluvial export of organic carbon (OC) and burial in ocean sediments comprises an important carbon sink, but fluxes remain poorly constrained, particularly for specific organic components. Here OC and lipid biomarker contents and isotopic characteristics of suspended matter determined in depth profiles across an active channel close to the terminus of the Danube River are used to constrain instantaneous OC and biomarker fluxes and integrated compositions during high to moderate discharges. During high (moderate) discharge, the total Danube exports 8 (7) kg/s OC, 7 (3) g/s higher plant‐derived long‐chain fatty acids (LCFA), 34 (21) g/s short‐chain fatty acids (SCFA), and 0.5 (0.2) g/s soil bacterial membrane lipids (brGDGTs). Integrated stable carbon isotopic compositions were TOC: −28.0 (−27.6)‰, LCFA: −33.5 (−32.8)‰ and Δ14C TOC: −129 (−38)‰, LCFA: −134 (−143)‰, respectively. Such estimates will aid in establishing quantitative links between production, export, and burial of OC from the terrestrial biosphere. This project was funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation SNF. The Heart of Jesus the center of incarnation and reconciliation: The heart in Strle\u27s anthropology and Christology
In the present Master\u27s thesis, the author presents the role and significance of the Heart of Jesus as a central point in the incarnation of Christ and his atoning sacrifice on the cross. The author shows the internal connection of these two events in three key steps. In the first chapter, based on Greek philosophy, the author defines the concept of the heart from a human point of view and shows its role and understanding, first in Greek philosophy and then also from a biblical point of view, where the author relies on the narrative of the creation of man. It also presents some key concepts in the Old and New Testaments, which define or described the reality of the heart. This is followed by a brief overview of the development of the concept of the heart, in theology, where the author shows the transition to the concept of person and the role of godliness.
In the second chapter, the author upgrades the understanding of the heart, through reflecting on the incarnation of Christ. The author shows that from a human point of view, the concept of the heart cannot be applied to the Hypostatic Union and shows how Christ transcends the human concept of the heart in his incarnation.
The third chapter focuses on Jesus\u27 atoning sacrifice on the cross, where the author shows the importance of Jesus\u27 mediation in his incarnation and atoning sacrifice, and shows their inner connection. Comparing Christ\u27s sacrifice with the celebration of the Day of Atonement, shows Christ\u27s transcendence and the novelty it brings. Finally, it shows the significance of the moment of the pierced Heart of Jesus.
The concluding chapter, builds on previous conclusions, and shows the role and importance of the devotion to the Heart of Jesus and the central role it plays through the consecrating of oneself to the Heart of Jesus and by extension, the place it will play in the revitalization of the Church in Slovenia
F. D. Roosevelt's New Deal Policy. Czechoslovak Perspective
The author will focus on analysis the program of the "restoration" of the United States of America in the thirties of twenty century, so called New Deal. Primarily focuses on the analysis of his first part in 1933-1936, untill Franklin Delano Roosevelt come in the second presidential term. It will be based on the analysis of the Great Depression and its impact on the United States, which will be seen in the context of the "Roaring Twenties", which prosperity had great affect on the perception of the Great Depression. Except analysis of the process decisions of the FDR, the author will aim on the key components of New Deal- NIRA, AAA and TVA projects, the impact of specific laws and sector development, that has directly affect on them. The author will try to analyze relationship between the USA and Czechoslovakia in time of the New Deal in the years 1933-1936. Thesis will be based mainly on Publisher sources and professional literature predominantly from Anglo-Saxon provenance
THE PHONOLOGICAL SYSTEM OF THE LOCAL DIALECT OF PRAŽNICA
Although the majority of features of the local dialect of the village of Pražnica can be found in the synthetic descriptions of the Brač Čakavian local dialects, this local dialect has not been fully described on any linguistic level, and only partial information about it is available. In this paper, on the basis of his recent field investigations, the author describes the phonological features of the Pražnica local dialect.
The results revealed the existence of expected characteristics which are present in the majority of Čakavian dialects on the island of Brač: the semivowel produces the vowel a, that is, o; we find some examples of Čakavian vocalization of vowels in weak positions; Ikavian reflex of *ě with a few Ekavian forms; the syllabic l and OCS *ǫ are consistently changed into the vowel u; the reflex of OCS *ę > a after palatal consonants and *ę > e after other consonants; examples like rst, krȅst, orbȁc and grb; no phoneme ǯ; firm position of phonemes h and f; the phoneme j as the dominant reflex of primary and secondary jotation of the dental d; “šćakavism”, that is, the sequences *st' and *zd', as well as *sk, *zg that give šć, zj/žj; the existence of typical Čakavian t’; the *čr sequence is preserved in most cases; examples such as djden; the change of ĺ into j; change of -m > -n in final position in grammatical endings and indeclinable words; almost systematic modification of consonant clusters; the consonant l is preserved in the syllable-final position but not in the singular of masculine nouns in past participle; the change of long a into o and the lengthening of short a into ã in nonfinal syllables; a three accent system with a length before the accent.
The analysis shows that the local dialect of Pražnica is a stable system which has preserved its structure and that the more recent changes and innovations that are found in some other Brač local dialects have not penetrated this local dialect
