Atslēgvārdi: stratēģija, konkurence, dzīvotspēja, piecu spēku modelis, struktūra, kibernētika, holisms un sarežģītībaThe dissertation by Qeis Kamran has unified strategy models as the world of management has become too complex to be dealt with by the application of contemporary models and current scientific worldviews. Thus, this is illustrated by the cases of Long-Term Capital Management, Lehmann Brothers, Nokia, Motorola, the Volkswagen Case in US, Toshiba, Samsung and even Michael Porter’s as the doyen of strategy’s co-founded consultancy firm The Monitor Group to apply for bankruptcy. The dissertation analysis the Five Forces Model as one of the major contributions to Competitive Strategy by Porter. Based on the development of the Sixth Force Model and validation by empirical studies, it is also examined, if Chandler’s thesis Structure follows strategy is still valid. A new model of competitive strategy has been developed to cope with the challenges that today’s turbulence and complexity requires - Six Forces Model. The effect of artificial intelligence has changed the nature of marketing and communication between firms and markets. Food marketers need to adjust to this new situation and integrate proven interdisciplinary theoretical frameworks, as these approaches can be aligned to address this situation. Due to the limitations of traditional-marketing-theory, the field has not captured this gap by addressing emerging trends effectively. We address these new developments by introducing the design of the Weltanschauung model, which is based on marketing within the dimensions of designing a firm-consumer-relationship based on cocreation and coevolution in the design and meaning search spaces. We apply a model-based-management methodology by aligning the nature of rigorous theory building and relevant practice via the design science research.publishersversionpublishe

Managing complexity in marketing:from a design Weltanschauung
Marketing is the field of business studies that relates the firm to its wider environment, while its raison d’être is shifting to have wider societal implications beyond the limited dimension of the pure markets, wherein it was originated. The dimension of thought within the mainstream marketing is not adequate for the contemporary evolution of the design-based cyber-physical new economic-order. The current Zeitgeist of sustainability delivers many aspects that go beyond rational economics Weltanschauung, which has occupied marketing-thought by focusing on short time-horizons and the spectrum of the field’s applicability based on transactional and mercantile market relations. The dissertation addresses these trends and develops a unified logical framework for marketing in the contemporary era, coined as the “Design Weltanschauung” (DWA), wherein it paves a path to conceptualize the necessary rapprochement between the fields of design and marketing designed as a course-correcting pivot within the field, called the “Design Dominant Logic” (DDL) for an integrative marketing scholarship and practice. DDL evolves marketing beyond its transactionary modus operandi towards a meaning-laden unconcealment of artefacts, which goes beyond the dimensions of a “Unique Sales and Value proposition” towards the notions of “Unique Meaning and Design Propositions”, which are based on the co-evolutionary foundations of the contemporary interconnected and globalized cyber-physical-realities. While, marketing originated in a “market(ing)-to” foundation and the latest developments, were founded on a “market(ing)-with” premise, the author has introduced a new foundation of the “marketin(ing)-within”, which reflects the contemporary intertwined-ness of marketing with the advancements of technology. Hence, the dissertation has paved a solid path for marketing’s shifting raison d’être, wherein marketing is dominated by Artificial intelligence (AI). The dissertation has designed a marketing interpretation for AI integration and also shifted the perceptions of the role of the organizational structural embodiment and ethos for the state of theory and practice for marketers to navigate towards creating meaning- laden artefacts’ and innovations, wherein customers can self-actualize based on the “requisite- varieties” the firms can offer. The DWA establishes a more embracive logic for marketing replacing the pure economic view that seems to be out of touch with the challenges the firms and societies face
A Review of Antecedents and Effects of Loyalty on Food Retailers toward Sustainability
With the increase in consumer awareness of sustainability and diversified retailer brands, the conceptualizations and dimensions of brand loyalty are changing. Existing research studies have focused on traditional constructs and measurements to explain new phenomena in the food retail sector but ignored the environmental and social effects on consumers’ attitudinal and behavioral loyalty. This study entails an extensive and structured review of definitions, taxonomy, dimensions, and measurements of loyalty within a food marketing context. With an additional emphasis on the notion of sustainability, it provides a perspective theory synthesis that integrates all testified antecedents of all types of loyalty to emphasize a trend of sustainability beyond brand scope, whereby sustainability values create loyalty. A systematic literature review and qualitative analysis methods were used to identify the relevant literature. The studies that qualified for inclusion were those that reported (1) research methods, (2) dimensions of brand loyalty, (3) knowledge of sustainability factors, and (4) organic marketing. This paper summarizes and compares the key constructs and measurements of loyalty to retailers. The results show inconsistencies in relation to two important attitudinal dimensions, namely, brand satisfaction and brand value. Although loyalty towards product brands, loyalty toward service organizations, store loyalty, and retailer loyalty have been studied in recent decades by marketing academics, little attention has been paid to clarifying their role in food retailing, especially regarding whether the established dimensions are relevant in conceptualizing consumer loyalty in sustainability based on organic food marketing. The theoretical implications are discussed in association with the research gap between loyalty dimensions and sustainability values, as well as multidimensional measurements development. The practical implications of this review are important for food retailers and organic food marketers that can meet the satisfaction and retain consumers’ loyalty by providing organic and sustainable products and improving related service quality involving environmental consequences and social well-being
Mapping the Intellectual Linkage of Sustainability in Marketing
This study explores the status quo regarding the interface between marketing, social and environmental issues, culture and consumers, and strategic management by integrating sustainability. A qualitative display network technique, based on the bibliometric methodology of co-citation analysis, was applied to examine research clusters. An integrative review was conducted to explain the connections within these clusters. To evaluate potential patterns among the studies through citations, different sets of relationships among applicable sustainability theories in marketing practice were paired in different sets and analyzed. After mapping the scientific structure of journal publications and intellectual linkages, six cluster groups emerged, reflecting the important role of marketing in linking sustainability, society, environment, consumers, and corporate sustainable development. This study contributes to social and marketing research and corporate sustainability practice by categorizing the intellectual structural network within various streams and indicating the influence of social and cultural notions on consumer-focused sustainable marketing
