The Impact of Human Resource Development on Organizational Effectiveness: An Empirical Study
Human resource development is a relatively new area of professional practice and academic study. Over the past two decades, human resource development has become the fastest growing area of management development, due to the great interest of organizations in the face of intense competition and changes in the business environment. Despite this significance of HRD but, there is a lack of empirical researches or studies have specifically dealt with examining how HRD practices effect on organizational effectiveness practically, in universities and institute level. This study tries to address this gap. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the relationships between the practices of human resource development and organizational effectiveness in the Iraqi public universities context. This study adopted the survey method to collect primary data. The survey was created by the google-forms tool, which is commonly used by researchers for collecting data. The web-based questionnaires were distributed through E-mail designed to collect the relevant data from the public universities of Iraq including a number of deans, heads of departments, faculty members and principals of the execution units which seems to provide a corresponding sample for conducting data collecting and analyzing. An online questionnaire was distributed to around 342 employees, out of which 215 complete questionnaires were obtained. For analyzing the data, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), structural equation modeling (SEM) were used. This study finds that HRD practices such as talent development, training and development, organizational development and career development have a positive and significant impact on organizational effectiveness. This study has confirmed the significance of HRD practices and how they are positively related to organizational effectiveness. The results of this study have the potential to help the decision makers of universities to develop effective HRD practices which will enable them to improve employees’ competencies in enhancing organizational effectiveness. Also, this study recommends universities’ managers to use effective HRD practices which are aimed at building excellent employees’ competencies and increase the integration between human resource development and organizational effectiveness.

The role of human resources development strategy in achieving corporate social responsibility: At the SME level
In this era of globalisation characterised by great high scientific and technological development, competition between institutions and companies is becoming more and more intensive in order to survive and achieve profitability, and achieve superiority over competitors. For this reason most companies have started striving for excellence by focusing on the most important resource, human resources, to achieve their economic, social and environmental goals, and then to also achieve social responsibility. This study aims to exam the role of human resources development strategy (training and development, organisational development and career development) in achieving corporate social responsibility at some of SMEs in Iraq, a special questionnaire has been prepared to collect data from a survey and a random sample which consists of (30) SMEs of the surveyed organisations was selected. The study found out HRD strategy effects significantly in achieving CSR (economic, environmental & social) dimensions, for this, it should be dealt in accordance to a strategic perspective, and develop it through many activities such as training and development, career development and organisational development so that it can play its role efficiently and effectively, and contribute to the achievement of specific goals.szabadon elérhető / Free accessPEFnet 2017: European scientific conference of doctoral students. The residents' participation in tourism based social entrepreneurship organization: Evidence from residents’ perception on ecosphere social enterprise
The main objective of this study is to investigate the residents' perceived benefits (economic, infrastructure development, quality of life, environmental conservation and cultural development) by participating in tourism social enterprises (TSE) formation and implementation phases. Specifically, this study uses Ecosphere social enterprise as a case study to assess the residents' participation in two different phases of TSE. To achieve the study objective, we collect field-based data on four locations (Kaza, Langza, Komic and Dhankhar) in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. The survey was carried out in September 2019 and qualitative techniques were used for the analysis. The results reveal that the residents play an important role in TSE formation and development phases, where the tourism benefits have a mediating role. The overall results indicate that the residents' participation in the TSE development phase yielded higher benefits than the formation phase. Management implications: 1) In order to effectively encourage local residents to support all stages of tourism social enterprises (TSE), strategic tourism plans should be reviewed from each perspective based on the economic and Non-economic factors of tourism on local residents. 2) Local residents in formation stage have less interaction with tourism activities and tourists and thus have limited knowledge about TSE strategies for tourism development than they do in the development stage. Therefore Social enterprises should allow residents to access the information and encourage them to participate decision making in all stages. 3) Some tourism services were provided by a few residents in developmental stage, the economic benefits to all residents appear to be limited. Therefore, the residents also did not perceive many economic benefits from TSE in the developmental stage. Therefore, TSE managers must ensure that direct employment is provided to residents to ensure that tourism revenue is distributed among a greater number of residents.</p
Posredovalna vloga inovacijskih zmogljivosti pri razmerju med dinamičnimi zmogljivostmi in konkurenčno uspešnostjo podjetja
Purpose: The purpose of the study is to better understand the relationship between dynamic capabilities and firm competitive performance, and how innovation capabilities, specifically (a) product capability and (b) process capability, may play a mediating role in this relationship. Design/Methodology/Approach: Simple Random Sampling technique was adopted to choose SMEs to collect data based on information obtained from Hungarian SMEs associations. A total of 565 completed questionnaires were obtained, with response rate of 65.50%. Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was used with AMOS 24 to assess the reliability and validityand Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was additionally used to assess the dependability of the scales. The proposed model was put to the test using structured equation modelling (SEM). Results: The study results show that dynamic capacities have a significant direct effect on innovation capabilities: product capability and process capability. The study also proves that both product capability and process capability have a significant impact on a firm’s competitive performance. Conclusion: The study concludes that the relationship between dynamic capabilities and competitive firm performance is partially mediated by innovation capabilities. The study suggests that before enhancing product innovation capability, entrepreneurs should consider reorganizing and reallocating resources into process innovation capability. This study contributes to our understanding of the mediating mechanism of innovation capabilities through which dynamic capabilities enhance firm competitiveness performance.
