La desterritorialización del lenguaje en Mare de llet i mel (2008) de Najat El Hachmi
This article presents an analysis of El Hachmi’s Mare de llet i mel (2008) as an example of literature written by (children of) Moroccan immigrants in Spain. Specifically, I focus on the deterritorialization of language and the strategies that the author mobilizes to achieve this deterritorialization. The analysis is carried out at two levels. On the one hand, I focus on the form: on the use of language in the work itself. On the other hand, I investigate how the use of certain words and expressions, as well as languages and their learning are treated in the novel. The answers to these questions will be used to relate the writing of El Hachmi to the concept of 'minor literature' as it was defined by Deleuze and Guattari.Este artículo presenta un análisis de la novela Mare de llet i mel (2008) de Najat El Hachmi como ejemplo de literatura escrita por (hijos de) inmigrantes marroquíes en España. An Analysis of Student Perceptions of Online Language Learning in Virtual Classrooms
[EN] This study analyses the perceptions of students when learning in an online language learning (OLL) environment using virtual classrooms. The main goals were to find out if students enjoy learning in this manner, if they perceive learning benefits and if they would recommend this method to others. A total of 15 OLL students participated in this study and responded to an online questionnaire that mirrored a similar previous study which analysed the perception of online teachers using virtual classrooms (Manegre & Sabiri, 2020). The majority of the students surveyed (60.00%) indicated that they only enjoy learning online sometimes since they are taking OLL classes for professional and academic purposes and not for leisure purposes or general enjoyment. However, the participants of this study found OLL using virtual classrooms to be an effective instruction method and they do believe that this method of instruction is a suitable replacement for in-classroom learning.El Morabit, S.; Manegre, ML. Photonic calibration for fluorescence microscopy
Based upon a collection of compact LEDs (light-emitting diodes) and a compact photodiode, we have developed a calibration tool for fluorescence microscopes that are used as digital imaging devices. The entire device (excluding a USB connector) measures 25 mm x 80 mm x 12 mm. Virtually all commonly-used fluorophores can be simulated with one of the six LEDs. An LED is chosen from the host computer and its current range is selected (digitally) so as to provide a test of the complete dynamic range of the imaging system. Thus by varying the current through an LED in a controlled way, a controlled amount of “emission” light can be produced, transmitted through the chosen optical path of the microscope, and measured by the image sensor. The digitized intensity can then be determined as a function of the LED current. Any other (fluorescence) intensity measured through the same electro-optical path can then be characterized (and thus calibrated) by an equivalent electrical current. The excitation light is calibrated by a photodiode which has a dynamic range of 10^5:1 and thus is suitable for a variety of light sources: mercury lamps, lasers, LEDs, etc. The integration time of the photodiode as well as its gain can be digitally selected from the host computer. Further, using a Spectralon® reflector, the inherent non-linearity of the LED emission versus current can be measured by the photodiode and used to provide a look-up table compensation independent of the image sensor used in the fluorescence microscope system.IST/Quantitative ImagingApplied Science

Observation of the Λ b 0 → J / ψ Ξ - K + decay
Abstract Using proton–proton collision data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 140 fb - 1 collected by the CMS experiment at s = 13 Te V , the Λ b 0 → J / ψ Ξ - K + decay is observed for the first time, with a statistical significance exceeding 5 standard deviations. The relative branching fraction, with respect to the Λ b 0 → ψ ( 2 S ) Λ decay, is measured to be B ( Λ b 0 → J / ψ Ξ - K + ) / B ( Λ b 0 → ψ ( 2 S ) Λ ) = [ 3.38 ± 1.02 ± 0.61 ± 0.03 ] % , where the first uncertainty is statistical, the second is systematic, and the third is related to the uncertainties in B ( ψ ( 2 S ) → J / ψ π + π - ) and B ( Ξ - → Λ π - )

Measurement of the CP-violating phase phi(s) in the B-s(0) -> J/psi phi(1020) -> mu(+)mu-K+K- channel in proton-proton collisions at root s=13 TeV
The CP-violating weak phase ?s and the decay width difference ??s between the light and heavy B0s mass eigenstates are measured with the CMS detector at the LHC in a sample of 48 500 reconstructed B0s? J/I) d (1020) ?11+11? K+K? events. The measurement is based on a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 96.4 fb?1, collected in proton-proton collisions at ?s = 13 TeV in 2017?2018. To extract the values of ?s and ??s, a time-dependent and flavor-tagged angular analysis of the 11+11?K+K? final state is performed. The analysis employs a dedicated tagging trigger and a novel opposite-side muon flavor tagger based on machine learning techniques. The measurement yields ?s = ?11 ?50 (stat) ? 10 (syst) mrad and ??s = 0.114 ? 0.014 (stat)? 0.007 (syst) ps?1, in agreement with the standard model predictions. When combined with the previous CMS measurement at ?s = 8 TeV, the following values are obtained: ?s = ?21 ? 44 (stat) ? 10 (syst) mrad, ??s = 0.1032 ? 0.0095 (stat) ? 0.0048 (syst) ps?1, a significant improvement over the 8 TeV result. ? 2021 The Author(s). Test of lepton flavor universality in B ± → K ± μ + μ − and B ± → K ± e + e − decays in proton-proton collisions at s = 13 TeV
A test of lepton flavor universality inB±→K±μ+μ-andB±→K±e+e-decays, as well as a measurement of differential and integrated branching fractions of a nonresonantB±→K±μ+μ-decay are presented. The analysis is made possible by a dedicated data set of proton-proton collisions ats=13TeVrecorded in 2018, by the CMS experiment at the LHC, using a special high-rate data stream designed for collecting about 10 billion unbiased b hadron decays. The ratio of the branching fractionsB(B±→K±μ+μ-)toB(B±→K±e+e-)is determined from the measured double ratioR(K)of these decays to the respective branching fractions of theB±→J/ψK±withJ/ψ→μ+μ-ande+e-decays, which allow for significant cancellation of systematic uncertainties. The ratioR(K)is measured in the range1.1<6.0GeV2, whereqis the invariant mass of the lepton pair, and is found to beR(K)=0.78-0.23+0.47, in agreement with the standard model expectationR(K)≈1. This measurement is limited by the statistical precision of the electron channel. The integrated branching fraction in the sameq2range,B(B±→K±μ+μ-)=(12.42±0.68)×10-8, is consistent with the present world-average value and has a comparable precision
