A New Hendecagonal Fuzzy Number For Optimization Problems
A new fuzzy number called Hendecagonal fuzzy number and its membership function is introduced, which is used to represent the uncertainty with eleven points. The fuzzy numbers with ten ordinates exists in literature. The aim of this paper is to define Hendecagonal fuzzy number and its arithmetic operations. Also a direct approach is proposed to solve fuzzy assignment problem FAP and fuzzy travelling salesman FTSP in which the cost and distance are represented by Hendecagonal fuzzy numbers. Importance of Glutamate Dehydrogenase (GDH) in Clostridium difficile Colonization In Vivo

Plos One, 11(7), 18. doi:10.1371/journal.pone.0160107Clostridium difficile is the principal cause of antibiotic-associated diarrhea. Major metabolic requirements for colonization and expansion of C. difficile after microbiota disturbance have not been fully determined. In this study, we show that glutamate utilization is important for C. difficile to establish itself in the animal gut. When the gluD gene, which codes for glutamate dehydrogenase (GDH), was disrupted, the mutant C. difficile was unable to colonize and cause disease in a hamster model. Further, from the complementation experiment it appears that extracellular GDH may be playing a role in promoting C. difficile colonization and disease progression. Quantification of free amino acids in the hamster gut during C. difficile infection showed that glutamate is among preferred amino acids utilized by C. difficile during its expansion. This study provides evidence of the importance of glutamate metabolism for C. difficile pathogenesis

Familial relationship and its impact on the psyche of transgenders: A study of The Truth About Me by Revathi
Modern society is evolving each day, technologically, socially, and economically. Nevertheless, society marginalizes people based on their gender, caste, sex, etc., and transgenders stand on the gruesome end of this line. Even though transgenders have become part of the active phase of contemporary society, they are often segregated by the name ‘transgender.’ Gender identity is always a major issue in the thick and thin of society. They are also termed as people of the third gender. Still, people believe that transgenders are sex workers or they were born cursed. So, they disappear from the active phase of society. The public’s attitude toward transgenders is like untouchables and they taunt them without any humanity, putting them to the status of animals living in the streets. They earn a livelihood through sex work and begging. This is portrayed by Revathi in her autobiography, The Truth About Me: A Hijra Life Story. The paper attempts an analysis of how family plays a significant role in their acceptance in society. Almost all of them face issues emanating from the childhood traumas they experience.

Urban Asymmetries Ciudad Juarez, Mexico: Designing A Transferium ...... A point of Exchange
The MSc. graduation project dealt with understanding the implications of Neo liberal policies on the city of Juarez which lies on the US - Mexico border. In 2009 Ciudad Juarez was rated as “the most violent zone in the world outside of declared war zones” due to high crime rates, femisides, homicides, corruption, drug trafficking and multiple other problems. The city is also presently facing massive exodus and the abandoning of large portions of its housing stock due to the increase in violence and a prevailing low intensity war between the state and the drug cartels. The reasons for this asymmetrical development are multiple and point towards a complex mesh of forces that transgress the scope of the built environment. They encompass entangled dimensions of political economy and socio-economic developments, which eventually affect the built environment. With this background a six month intense research was carried out and a counter proposal group strategy was proposed on a prototype site Riberas Del bravo and eventually an Urban & architectural intervention was designed. Thus as part of my graduation project I designed a collective transport system comprising of three design elements the Transferium hub, the bus stops and the routes on the prototype site. The core design idea dealt with developing a time based concept, that allowed hybridization of the programme and hence catered to both peak and anti-peak hour differently. Firstly a strong east west axis was developed to regulate and accentuate the flow of people along the canal & public promenade proposed as part of the group strategy. These east west axis were flanged by three pavilions serving the Transferium and Community center on the two edges and a multipurpose market space at the center. The central multipurpose market space manifested itself further as Hawking zone courtyard, Mobile Market courtyard and Permanent Market. During the peak hour the Transferium expanded into the central multipurpose space and during the anti-peak hour the community market/activities expanded into the multipurpose space. Thus depending on the flow of vehicles the central multipurpose space grew or condensed in size catering to different activities.Urban AsymmetriesDelft School of DesignArchitectur
Principal Component Analysis and Clustering of Cassava Germplasm based on N and K Efficiency
The present study was undertaken at ICAR-CTCRI, Sreekaryam to identify and group N and K efficient genotypes from a pool of released varieties, pre-breeding lines and elite landraces of cassava during 2021-2022. Thirty genotypes of cassava were evaluated for their diversity based on N and K efficiency along with some of its contributing plant characters using statistical tools like principal component analysis, and dendrogram clustering. The variation existing among the selected genotypes was observed through PCA, where the first six principal components accounted for nearly 81% of the total variability. Characters like tuber yield, plant height, stem girth, tuber length and tuber girth contributed to the greater variability among the genotypes. The dendrogram analysis classified the genotypes into six clusters based on the 18 parameters contributing to nutrient use efficiency. The proportion of the variance accounted by these clusters came up to the extent of 50% displaying the association of the genotypes with similar characters in these clusters. These analyses helped to realize the wide range of variability existing among the selected genotypes for the 18 characters studied. A simple correlation was also worked out between N and K use efficiency with root traits, which revealed that characters such as weight of storage roots, number of storage roots, and number of basal roots showed a positive correlation with both N and K use efficiency in cassava
