No full textThe Department of History’s Sebastian Garcia attended this year’s annual FHS symposium event which is hosted every October at the University of Central Florida. Being one of the most significant historical events of the year for Florida history and culture, Sebastian wanted to capture the essence of this unique and imperative event by doing on-the-spot, raw, “quick chat” interviews with as many people that were involved with this event—from directors to panelists—as possible. This episode of Knights Historycast is composed of the several quick chat interviews that Sebastian was able to do from day 1 of this incredible and significant event. The impact of the pandemic on the perception of electronic commerce in Bogotá
No full textEl propósito de este estudio fue establecer como la pandemia cambió la percepción frente al comercio electrónico en ciudadanos bogotanos. Como variable independiente se tuvo la pandemia del COVID 19 y como variable dependiente, el cambio de percepción que se puede definir como una alteración en el reconocimiento, interpretación y significación de una persona al momento de elaborar un juicio sobre el comercio electrónico (Vargas, 1994). Para recolectar los datos necesarios para esta investigación cuantitativa correlacional se utilizó una encuesta dirigida a los ciudadanos de Bogotá para poder conocer cuál es su nueva perspectiva frente al comercio electrónico y si esta ha cambiado desde inicios de la pandemia. Se encontró que existe una influencia clara de la contingencia sanitaria en el incremento en el uso del e-commerce, además, la percepción que tienen los bogotanos sobre este modelo de negocio mejoró notablemente, considerando que para el consumidor online hay factores determinantes como la seguridad y la facilidad en el uso de estas plataformas.Profesional en Negocios InternacionalesPregradoThe purpose of this study was to establish how the pandemic changed the perception of e-commerce in Bogota's citizens. The independent variable was the COVID 19 pandemic and the dependent variable was the change in perception, which can be defined as an alteration in the recognition, interpretation and significance of a person when making a judgment about electronic commerce (Vargas, 1994). In order to collect the necessary data for this quantitative correlational research, a survey directed to the citizens of Bogotá was used to find out what their new perspective on e-commerce is and if it has changed since the beginning of the pandemic. It was found that there is a clear influence of the health contingency in the increase in the use of e-commerce, in addition, the perception that Bogotá citizens have about this business model improved significantly, considering that for the online consumer there are determining factors such as security and ease of use of these platforms
