This video features interviews with Joseph E. Lowery and Maynard Jackson. The interviews took place after Maynard Jackson spoke at the 2nd Annual Joseph E. Lowery Lecture Series held at Benjamin E. May High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Lowery speaks to what he hopes the lecture series will do to encourage youth to embrace civic participation. Jackson answers questions about his experience at Howard University and as a student in the Atlanta Public School system. Also, Jackson speaks about the importance of people like Joseph E.
