Recollections of past days: the autobiography of Patience Loader Rozsa Archer
Edited by Sandra Ailey Petree.Includes bibliographical references and index. For visitors to the Martin's Cove historic site in Wyoming, Patience Loader has become an icon of the disastrous winter entrapment of the Martin and Willie handcart companies. Her record of those events is important, but there is much else of interest in her autobiography. In fact, it is a bit unusual that someone such as her would have left such an engaging record of her life."Reccolections of past days": England, 1827-December 1855 -- On the John J. Strack-Billerbeck, Orthodoxy and a Jewish New Testament
On the basis of the evidence of publications daing from the eighteenth century, this paper argues that the orthodox doctrine of the verbal inspiration the Bible caused extreme views on the language of the Old Testament which could maybe transferred to the "heathen" language of the New Testament. The resulting void was filled by focussing on the Jewish (read "Hebrew", thought of the New Testament. The work of Chistian Schoettgen, available the author in Vienna, is used in conjunction with the Critica sacra by Johan Gottlob Carpzov to develop the argument for the thesis. Some conclusions ardrawn
Calvin’s election mix in small-scale theology
This paper shows how Calvin’s ideas about the Old Testament concept of Israel’s election can be dangerous when they are applied uncritically. The main illustration material is drawn from a context the author was himself part of, notably the South African apartheid theology of Calvinist provenance. The paper begins with documenting Calvin’s views on Israel and Israel’s election in the Old Testament, moving to a consideration of how this motif was connected to the idea of predestination and construed to become an instrument to defend apartheid in what may be called a substandard theology. It is suggested that a glance at the English-speaking world shows surprising similarities that justify further consideration. In this title several dimensions are present that need to be explicated

TI DSP Dynamic Run-Time Loader
Thesis (M.Eng.)--Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dept. of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, 2001.Includes bibliographical references (leaf 41).This electronic version was submitted by the student author. The certified thesis is available in the Institute Archives and Special Collections. The increased demand in applications of Digital Signal Processors (DSP) are reaching the limits of the basic method of statically loading libraries. These statically loaded libraries are fixed to the location in memory where they can be executed. Therefore these inflexible libraries are difficult to use in multitasking environments, are not portable between different DSP architectures and are an inefficient use of RAM. A Dynamic Run- Time Loader for libraries adds an abstraction layer between the DSP kernel and the library. This solution will remove the memory inflexibility of the static model while improving code reuse, portability and multitasking ability, to help meet the demands of tomorrows DSP applications.by Morris M. Identifikasi Kerusakan Komponen dan Design Final Drive Pada Unit Wheel Loader XGMA XG955H
A wheel loader is a heavy equipment equipped with a bucket on the front which functions to transport and move material or debris from one place to another, so this tool is a must
for every work project because it really helps with optimal work productivity and effectiveness. Wheel loaders have rubber tires so their use is slightly different from other
heavy equipment and this tool is suitable for working in hard, flat, non-slip areas efficiently, especially in the mining sector and city infrastructure development. The
transmission system supports Wheel Loader performance with various gear combinations such as acceleration gear and reverse gear. However, Wheel Loaders are susceptible to
damage, especially to the final drive which results in a decrease in wheel rotation performance and a rough sound. In a final assignment, the author analyzes the causes and
designs new components to overcome wear of the planetary gear on the final drive on the XGMA XG955H Wheel Loader, especially related to damage to the final drive. Periodic
checking process is carried out to record damaged components and make ordering recommendations. Repair steps include replacing damaged components, such as the planetary gear. The cause of low power when rotating the wheels in final drive is caused by wear of the planetary gear, which may be caused by foreign particle contamination or improper lubrication. The solution for repair is to replace a new component on the planetary gear final drive
Policing, recognition, and belonging
In this article, the author reflects on the question of how policing institutions can help to foster and sustain the values and practices of democracy. The author's overarching concern is to outline and defend a conception of democratic policing that highlights the role of policing agencies in recognizing the legitimate claims of all individuals and groups affected by police actions and affirming their sense of belonging to a political community. From this perspective, the author offers a critique of certain prominent forms of what he calls "ambient policing" and aims to cast some new light on the issue of how policing contributes to - or undermines - citizen security in democratic societies
