Oral History of Jonathan Nguyen
An oral history with Mr. Jonathan Nguyen, a boat person and American citizen, currently residing in Mission Viejo , California where he attended high school upon arrival. This interview focused on his experiences as a child growing up with his siblings, and how it changed after the Communists took over. He also speaks of his challenges of survival as a boat person, refugee, and immigrant in the United States. Although he was a teenager at the time, he remembers many details and how he appreciates his life today. He is volunteering with the VAOHP to help preserve his experiences and lessons he would like to teach his children today.Recorded Digitall

Using Accelerometry to Detect Upper-Extremity Motor Deficits and Delays in Early Childhood
Abstract
Date Presented 3/30/2017
Identifying subtle motor delays in early childhood is challenging. Accelerometry is a novel way to characterize upper-extremity motor patterns in typically developing children. Differences were identified between typically developing children and children with hemiparesis ages 0–5 yr.
