Engaging Physics Tutoring: A didactical toolbox for teaching assistants (TAs)
[EN] In this paper we present a project dedicated to the development of a didactical toolbox of material for teaching assistants (TAs) supervising exercise classes for non-physics majors at ETH Zurich. With our materials we were able to support TAs in preparing high-quality exercise sessions for their class which go beyond direct instruction and activate students intellectually and emotionally. The materials are developed for 13 exercise sessions and are presented in the form of an eBook. The materials were immediately used by several TAs in dedicated focus groups. The positive feedback of students and TAs suggests that our material helped to activate and engage the students, enhancing their learning - even in the challenging setting of online teaching. The EPT project was supported by the ETH Zurich Rector’s Impulse Fund.Bondar, V.; Nuber, J.; Zeyen, M.; Schiltz, G.; Dissertori, G. Sul polimorfismo di Aporrhais pespelecani (L. 1758). Nota preliminare
EnThe Author examines the variability of Aporrhais pespelecani L., having at his disposal four populations collected in two different areas of the Mediterranean. In each of such popoulations we find both the typical form and a certain nuber of morphological variations, which are referred to as "varieties" or "anomalies" in the literature Questioning the validity of such forms, it is supposed that the environmental factors determine the different morphological aspects, and also seem to influence remarkably the salinity variation
Psychology of religion in Post-soviet Russia (from the 2000s to the present)
This article gives an overview of the development of psychology of religion in post-Soviet Russia from the 2000s to the present. The author evaluates this period as a stage of reviving of research in the fi eld in question. This trend is supposed to be associated with the infl uence of the personal factor and the objectively existing white spot in this fi eld rather than with a social request or the improvement in the fi nancialsituation of Russian science compared with the 1990s. There is positive dynamics in the nuber of defended academic theses in the fi eld of psychology of religion. The number of publications has also been increasing. The article outlines key thematic areas of research on psychology of religion, discusses the problem of developing methodological instruments, analyses the educational literature published in 2000‒2010 as well as signifi cant scientifi c events. The author of the article states that psychology of religion in Russia is currently going through the phase when the scientifi c community of psychologists and researchers of religion begins to identify itself and to consolidate its research eff orts. However, despite the clear though moderate growth, psychology of religion still remains in the shadow of institutionalised Christian psychology on the one hand and a range of other religious disciplines on the other hand
Trzy rozprawy Władysława Nehringa o Janie Kochanowskim
Three studies of Władysław Nehring's on Jan KochanowskiThe subject of the article is texts of Władysław Nehring devoted to Jan Kochanowski's work and biography. The author has selected three works out of Nehring's achievements. Each of them represents a different form of scientific expression: an interpretative essay, a commented text edition and a monography, all of which combine the poet's biography with the outline of his creative work. They will be discussed consecutivelly in three paragraphs of the article. The essay on the Treny cycle was published twice in 1881 and 1884 and presented from two perspectives: as an example of evolution in history-literature research implementing positivistic methods of scientific research and as a documentation of Nehring's towards his own texts. Comparison of both editions of the study on Treny emphasizes basic characteristics of the 19th century philologist's techniques: matter-of-factness, precision in stating theses, classic erudition and independence of opinion. The second part of the article focuses on the relation between two versions of the study on Odprawa posłów greckich. This time both first and second editions were published in the same year 1884, nevertheless the original text was substantially amended. The author of the article enumerates differences and indicates the nature of the modifications. As it turns out Nehring worked many matters over a nuber of times, corrected errors in the matter of the text, rearranged composition enhancing and shortening passages of text, corrected his style and adjusted the whole to a different communicative context and reader. In the twilight of his life, Nehring wrote a monography titled Jan Kochanowski, życie i dzieła. In the present article contents and layout of the book is discussed as well as methods of compilation of literary material. It is the main point of the third part of the study. In conclusion an idea of creating Jan Kochanowski Society, based on actual Adam Mickiewicz Society, setting field of research on old Polish literature.]]>Three studies of Władysław Nehring's on Jan KochanowskiThe subject of the article is texts of Władysław Nehring devoted to Jan Kochanowski's work and biography.
