An unknown witness of the Synodikon of Orthodoxy is preserved in a manuscript copied in Constantinople towards the end of the 15th century (probably in 1489) (Istanbul, Patriarchike bibliotheke, Hagia Trias 34). The manuscript presents the p version of the Synodikon, which contains new articles inserted in the 14th century. The ms. Hagion Oros, Mone Koutloumou-siou, 33 (copied around 1380 in Constantinople) served as a model. In the final part, this new Synodikon presents a short series of five acclamations: 1. John of Damascus, 2. Mark Eugenikos, 3. Gennadios Scholarios, 4. Isidore II, 5. Sophronios (Syropoulos) I. Finally, before the conclusion, we find praises of four emperors of Trebizond: Manuel III (1390-1416), John IV (1429-1459), Alexis IV (1416-1429) and David (1459-1461). The Synodikon of the Orthodoxy of the ms. Istanbul, Patriarchike bibliotheke, Hagia Trias 34 was elaborated in Constantinople around 1480, among circles close to the patriarchate

The reliability of the augmented Lehnert-Schroth and Rigo classification in scoliosis management

Background: In pattern-specific scoliosis exercises and bracing, the corrective treatment plan differs according to different curve patterns. There are a limited number of studies investigating the reliability of the commonly used classifications systems. Objective: To test the reliability of the augmented Lehnert-Schroth (ALS) classification and the Rigo classification. Methods: X-rays and posterior photographs of 45 patients with scoliosis were sent by the first author to three clinicians twice at 1-week intervals. The clinicians classified images according to the ALS and Rigo classifications, and the data were analysed using SPSS V-16. Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) and standard error measurement (SEM) were calculated to evaluate the inter-and intra-observer reliability. Results: The inter-observer ICC values were 0.552 (ALS), 0.452 (Rigo) for X-ray images and 0.494 (ALS), 0.518 (Rigo) for the photographs. The average intra-observer ICC value was 0.720 (ALS), 0.581 (Rigo) for the X-ray images and 0.726 (ALS) and 0.467 (Rigo) for the photographs. Conclusions: The results of our study indicate moderate inter-observer reliability for X-ray images using the ALS classification and clinical photographs using the Rigo classification. Intra-observer reliability was moderate to good for X-ray images and clinical photographs using the ALS classification and poor to moderate for X-ray and clinical photographs using the Rigo classification

The solution-seeking behavior of small Hungarian enterprises between 2006 and 2010

This paper describes the results of an investigation into the finance-related innovative ability of Hungarian micro, small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) by using two datasets (from 2006 and 2010). The author explored SMEs’ levels of openness to new financial solutions and identified features which influence their innovative solution-seeking behavior. Additionally, changes in innovation between 2006 and 2010 were analyzed according to the SME sector and whether there is a correlation between having an active solution seeking attitude and business performance was examined. The findings show that shared/multiple ownership in businesses (having interests in different enterprises simultaneously) has a significant positive effect on flexibility and innovative ability. However, the size of the business, industrial sector, type of ownership and market of the SME also have some effect. Furthermore, the hypothesis that an active solution-seeking attitude increases after-tax performance per employee was confirmed

Motivi letterari nei libri per l’infanzia di Paolo Di Paolo

The article, organised in the form of a discussion, aims to analyse the themes and motifs of Paolo Di Paolo’s works that are addressed to young audiences. The author has recently published a large number of volumes directed just at younger readers. When beholding the titles that constitute the author’s bibliography, the reader is struck by Di Paolo’s predisposition to transform literary classics: as much in Giacomo il signor bambino as in the edition of the Divina Commedia, the author’s goal is to try to reach his new readers. Therefore, Di Paolo proves to be a prolific author of the genre; in fact, in his bibliography, volumes of fairy tales with a classic slant, such as La mucca volante, are listed as well.L’articolo contiene un’analisi di temi e di motivi delle opere di Paolo Di Paolo dirette al pubblico più piccolo.
