    Resonantly pumped bright triplet exciton lasing in caesium lead bromide perovskites

    The research looks into the lasing phenomenon from the tetragonally symmetric CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals. The emission has been demonstrated to originate from the triplet state via polarisation and lifetime verifications. A resonantly pumped excitation source has been adopted to tune the inter-level transition resonantly, which significantly enhances the emission characteristics. The data follows the order of the figures contained in the corresponding paper and a comment in each data file explains what each column of the data stands for. The data files cover all the experimental results presented in the main text of the paper

    The work in this thesis entitled “Functionalization of Nanoparticles and their Application es Cellular and Subcellular Imaging Probe” was initiated by the author in April 2012 in Centre for advanced Materials, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata ender the supervision of Dr. Nikhil Ranjan Jana. Optical imaging plays an important role in bioimaging, clinical diagnostics and sensing spplications. Fluorescent nanoparticles offer promises in this area due to their strong ehotoluminescence and low photobleaching property in comparison to the existing organic yes. These unique properties exist in nanoparticles like carbon dots, quantum dots and semiconductor nanoparticles, silicon nanoparticles, gold cluster and thus they serve as seperior imaging probes for various bio-diagnostics. In parallel to the synthesis of this «ssomaterials the functionalization is also very important. For the bioimaging application, igh colloidal stability and retained optical stability is always desired and therefore different seating strategy has been introduced. In addition selective detection of cancer cell over seemal cell is still very challenging issue. Generally functionalization with different peptides, ssemolecules is used for the specific detection of the diseased cells or tissues. Nanoparticle sesed subcellular imaging probe is also very important for the same reasons. Nanoparticle «<& tunable surface functionality can offer endosomal escape and the specific ligand Seectionalization can target the desired subcellular organelle. Subcellular localization of the samoparticles is sometimes restricted due to the endosomal trapping which is main obstacle the the gene delivery, drug delivery or bioimaging. Therefore some endosomal escape route ees to be designed for successful subcellular targeting. Proper functionalization of emmeperticles may offer the endosomal escape that include hyper branched poly L lysine, eely ethylene imine (PEI). Endocytosis mechanism also plays important role in subcellular ‘eslization of the particles. Clathrin mediated endocytosis, which is well known for almost <) “ed of nanoparticles, leads the particle to the endosomes or lysosomes of the cells sereas caveolae or lipid raft mediated endocytosis bypass the endosomal pathway and takes ‘the particle to the Golgi apparatus or endoplasmic reticulum. But the endocytosis mechanism aeeys depend on the particle surface functionalization by which it interacts with the cell sub-membranes and that needs to characterized.     Novel Approaches for Offline Data-Driven Evolutionary Multiobjective Optimization

    Most multiobjective evolutionary algorithms (MOEAs) assume that analytical functions or simulation models are available while solving a multiobjective optimization problem (MOP). However, in some cases we must start with data and build approximation models known as surrogates that are later used to solve the MOP by an MOEA. These types of problems are called data-driven MOPs. This thesis is devoted to solving so-called offline data-driven MOPs that are particularly challenging as no new data is available during the optimization process. The author first presents approaches to utilize the uncertainty in the prediction of Kriging or Gaussian process (GP) surrogates as additional objectives. However, these approaches increase the complexity of the MOP being solved. Hence, the author proposes probabilistic selection approaches that can be embedded in a decomposition-based MOEA without further analytical derivations. These approaches utilize Monte Carlo sampling and kernel density estimation to calculate the probability of selection criterion of the MOEA and later select individuals based on them. Next, the author proposes an interactive optimization framework that utilizes decision maker’s preferences for uncertainties in addition to preferences for objective values. The framework was further extended to use probabilistic selection approaches for a decomposition-based MOEA and a custom reference vector adaptation technique to consider uncertainty in the solutions during the adaptation process. Building GPs with all the provided data becomes computationally expensive when the size of the data is large. Hence, the author finally proposes treed GP surrogates for multiobjective optimization (TGP-MO). They can be built with a relatively low computational cost and have a good accuracy exclusively in the regions around the optimal solutions. This thesis provides multiple novel approaches and detailed experimental studies for solving offline data-driven MOPs with decision support that will enhance real-world problem-solving capabilities.
