No full text본 연구는 강신재 소설에 등장하는 여성인물들의 다양한 양상과 행위를 바탕으로 강신재 소설의 공간이 띠고 있는 의미를 규명하는 것을 목표로 한다. 그간 강신재 연구사에서 공간은 단편적인 차원에서 다루어지거나, 여성의 행위주체성을 강조하기 위해 탈출해야만 하는 억압적 측면에 한정되어 조명되어 왔다. 그러나 강신재 소설의 연구사를 관통하는 주제가 ‘여성성’이었듯, 이 ‘여성성’을 전제로 여성의 입장에서 공간의 의미를 긍정적/부정적이라는 이분법적 도식으로 규명해왔다는 점은 한계로 지적될 수 있다. ‘여성성’이 본질적인 범주가 아닌 사회적으로 구성되는 유동적인 과정이자 수행이라는 점을 감안한다면, 강신재 소설의 여성공간은 본질적인 ‘여성성’이 아닌 ‘여성인물들’의 다양한 젠더 실천에 따라 변화하는 유동성을 획득할 수 있다.
문화지리학적인 관점에서 공간은 다양한 사회문화적인 맥락의 상호교차를 통해 끊임없이 유동하는 역동성을 지니며, 장소 또한 공간의 특정한 형태로서 상이한 사회적 정체성들이 각축하고 횡단함에 따라 끊임없이 변화한다. 이와 같은 관점을 견지했을 때 공간연구는 사회에 작동하는 다양한 권력과, 그러한 권력이 포섭과 배제의 방식으로 장소에 특정한 정체성을 부여하는 방식을 파악할 수 있다는 가능성을 담지하고 있다. 또한 이러한 과정을 통해 권력이 분열하는 지점을 파악하여 그에 대응할 수 있는 효과적인 전략을 사유함에 따라 공간과 장소 자체를 변화시킬 수 있다는 정치성 또한 포함한다. 페미니스트 지리학은 이러한 비판문화지리학의 한 갈래로서 여성의 공간을 구획하고 질서화하는 젠더 담론과 권력을 추적하고, 이에 대응할 수 있는 정치적인 전략을 제안하는 학문이다. 17세기 이후 데카르트의 이성중심사유를 바탕으로 이루어진 정신과 몸의 이분법에 따라 근대적 이성과 전근대적 자연으로 치환된 ‘남성성’과 ‘여성성’은 공/사 이분법으로 이행되어왔다. 따라서 본 연구는 페미니즘 사유를 바탕으로 한 지리학을 통하여 강신재 소설의 공간 독해를 시도한다. 여성을 몸, 가정, 국가 장소에 귀속시키는 권력을 우선적으로 파악하고, 그 장소 내부에서 여성인물이 다양한 전략적 행위를 통해 공간·장소화된 권력 자체를 해체시키는 방식을 사유하여 젠더와 공간 간의 새로운 관계를 사유하고자 한다.
Ⅱ장에서는 ‘몸’ 장소에 집중하여 젠더화된 응시가 여성의 몸을 경관화, 규범화하는 과정과 여성이 섹슈얼리티를 수행함에 따라 몸이라는 장소가 주체성을 기반으로 한 체현적 장소로 변화하는 과정을 살핀다. 여성인물들은 젠더화된 응시에 의해 근대의 가부장적 규범에 어울리는 몸으로 훈육받고, 교육되며, 규범화된다. 그러나 몸 또한 사회문화적 권력과 담론을 통해 구성되는 하나의 장소이기 때문에 몸을 둘러싼 권력과 지리 또한 본질적이고 자연적일 수 없다. 이에 강신재는 여성의 육체를 규범화하는 젠더 권력과 담론의 허위성을 고발하고, 자신에게 주어진 몸의 경계를 이탈하고 위반함에 따라 고정적이고 수동적으로 규범화된 육체를 변화시킬 수 있는 가능성을 제기한다. 다양한 ‘몸들’의 등장은 여성을 규범화하는 젠더 권력의 유효성을 더욱 상실하게 한다. 근대 가부장적 젠더 규범과 규율은 여성의 몸이라는 장소 에서 섹슈얼리티, 정체성, 욕망 등과 경합하며 몸의 경계를 불안정하게 만드는 데 일조한다. 이에 여성의 몸은 영속적으로 수동적인 경관이 되거나, 전근대적 자연을 의미할 수 없게 된다. 몸이라는 장소는 단순한 사적 영역이 아니라, 외부 영역과의 경계 협상의 그 자체로서 가장 작은 개인의 지리이면서도 외부로 무한히 확장될 수 있는 긍정성을 내포하고 있다.
Ⅲ장은 ‘가정’ 장소를 조명한다. 가정은 근대 산업화 이후 가부장제와 자본주의의 결합에 의해 젠더화된 대표적인 장소로서, 위험한 자본주의 경제와 대립을 이루도록 구축된 여성성, 모성성, 가정성 등을 부여받아 왔다. 강신재 소설 내 여성인물들은 자신의 예술적인 욕망과 충돌하는 가정성을 내보임에 따라 가정이라는 장소가 이러한 젠더 규범과 위계질서에 의해 여성에게 강제된 것임을 드러낸다. 그러나 가정 내부에 여성들의 욕망이 존재할 수 있다는 사실 자체는 가정이라는 장소가 자본주의 영역과 분리된 안전한 사적 장소일 수만은 없음을 암시한다. 가정은 여성의 행위에 따라 내부에서부터 균열이 가해질 수 있음을 보여주는 것이다. 그렇기에 가정 내부에 더욱 주목한다면 가정이 표상하는 정체성이 변화할 수 있는 지점을 파악할 수 있다. 가정 외부의 시선은 가정을 획일화하여 여성성과 가정성을 일치시키지만, 여성성은 역으로 자신에게 부여된 가정성을 전유함에 따라 가정의 젠더 규범성을 해체할 수 있다. 가정 내부에서 다양한 위치를 점하는 여성인물들은 공적/사적, 일터/노동, 남성/여성, 긍정/부정, 능동/수동과 같은 이분법으로는 표현되지 않는 다양한 차이를 지닌 가정의 모습을 그려낸다. 즉, 획일화된 가정성을 거부하고 젠더와 공간의 이분법을 해체함에 따라 가정을 다양한 가치를 내포할 수 있는, 유동적이고 가변적인 장소로서 재탄생시키는 것이다.
Ⅳ장에서는 ‘국가’ 장소에 집중한다. 전후 한국사회는 국가재건의 수행에 있어 여성의 성을 통제하기 위해 여성에게 강력한 젠더 규범을 부여해 여성을 민족적/비민족적 여성으로 위계화하는 모습을 보인다. 즉, 민족주의는 젠더 규범과 밀접한 연관을 맺고 작동하면서 민족의 경계를 형성한다. 이러한 과정을 통해 민족의 경계가 설정되었기 때문에 민족 장소는 남성이 전유하는 정치적인 공적 영역일 수만은 없다. 강신재는 전후 여성을 호명하는 민족적 파시즘과 그로 인한 여성인물들의 고난을 그려내며 여성성을 동원한 민족주의가 폭력적 이데올로기로 작동했다는 사실을 보여준다. 국가가 제안하는 민족의 자리에 여성의 자리는 존재하지 않음을 드러내는 것이다. 이러한 여성들의 재현은 공적 영역으로 사유되었던 무성적, 혹은 남성적인 민족의 장소에 여성의 경험을 복귀시켜 민족사를 쓰는 여성주체의 필요성을 제기한다. 이에 강신재는 ‘민족성’과 ‘비민족성’을 재현함에 따라 민족의 장소를 오가는 여성인물들을 그려낸다. 이러한 여성인물들의 횡단적인 행위와 다양한 정체성을 구성하는 방식은 여성을 위계화하는 민족 이데올로기를 해체하는 모습을 보여준다. 민족이라는 범주가 민족국가와 별개인 이데올로기로서 작동한다는 것을 증명하듯, 여성인물들은 민족성과 비민족성을 구성하여 민족의 경계를 오가며 민족국가가 시도하는 포괄적이고도 절대적인 민족성이 실현되는 것에 저항하고 국가 장소를 다양한 가치가 존재할 수 있는 혼종적인 장소로 재탄생시킨다.
강신재가 그려내는 다양한 여성들의 존재는 여성을 자연적으로, 가정적으로, 민족적으로 단일화하려는 젠더 규범에 도전한다. ‘여성성’이라는 범주에 통합되지 않아도 다양한 위치를 점하고 모순적인 정체성을 구성함에 따라 장소를 변화시키는 여성인물들은 그만큼이나 긍정적인 유동성과 정치성을 지닌 존재들이라고 할 수 있다. 이렇게 젠더 권력과 담론이 구성한 공간의 총체성과 포괄성에 균열을 내며 생성된 강신재 소설의 여성공간은 역설적이고, 혼종적이며, 이질적이다. 단일화와 규범화를 거부하고 다양한 가치를 허용하는 강신재 소설의 여성공간의 의의는 여기에서 찾을 수 있을 것이다.;This study aims to clarify the meaning of the woman space in Kang Shin-jae novels as focussing women character’s aspect and action. Meanwhile, in study of Kang Shin-jae, space was discussed by opperssive area that have to escaped in order to emphasize the subjectivity of women’s behavior. Kang Shin-jae novel’s space study based on essential ‘femininity’ can be pointed out. However, Kang Shin-jae novel’s women space gets mobility through women character’s various gender practice, When considering ‘femininity’ is not an essential category but socially constructed flexible process and perfomance.

The presence of various women who featured in the novel of Kang Shin-jae is challenging the gender norm that try to make women as natural, domestic, ethnic. Microfluidic fabrication of microparticles with structural complexity using photocurable emulsion droplets
No full textPolymeric microparticles with hexagonal surface patterns comprising of colloids or dimples were fabricated using photocurable emulsion droplets. Colloidal silica particles within the interior of the photocurable emulsion droplets formed two-dimensional (2D) crystals at the droplet surface by anchoring on the emulsion interface, and the resulting composite structures were captured by rapid photopolymerization. A microfluidic device composed of two coaxial glass capillaries was used to generate monodisperse microparticles, with the evolution time determining the area of the anchored colloidal silica particles on the microparticle that was exposed to the continuous phase. The exposed region of silica particles could be modified by the introduction of desired functional groups such as dye molecules through simple chemical reaction with a silane coupling agent. A study on Female Sexuality in Kang shin-jae&apos;s novels

Naturally, it leads the mainstream of novel about ideal and class formation. In this situation, the novels, mainly carry about the personal conflict and emotional feature, were on charge, as a result of insufficiency of the social perception. Above all, when woman novelists write those styles of novel, Readers denied the values by categorized emotional aspect. Therefore, at that point in time, there was Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang who considers as a leading writer of represented female movement on the sexuality in South Korea, nevertheless people distorted and underestimated on her novel. With mounted Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang, he got populated with her delineation of the passion and literary style, but immediately her novel was treated as valueless work by people that they considered this novel did not involve of reality that her work involved the avoidance, also blamed to the social irregularity which she bring on her work. We can undoubtedly recognize this system by looking up the characters that she created, and Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang gave and reflected the nature awareness through characters. It give us a sense that the Korean consideration about the sexuality at that moment. An argument about the sexuality through connection of body, self&amp;#8208;esteem, and social norm, it might be defined as one of the method to reach modern ideology from past one.
Female sexuality encompasses a broad range of issues, behavior and processes, including female sexual identity and sexual behavior, the physiological, psychological, social, cultural, political, and spiritual or religious aspects of sex. Various aspects and dimensions of female sexuality, as a part of human sexuality, have also been addressed by principles of ethics, morality, and theology. In almost any historical era and culture, the arts, including literary and visual arts, as well as popular culture, present a substantial portion of a given society&apos;s views on human sexuality, which also include implicitly or explicitly female sexuality. In most societies and legal jurisdictions, aspects of female sexuality include issues pertaining to biological sex, body image, self&amp;#8208;esteem, personality, sexual orientation, values and attitudes, gender roles, relationships, and activity options, and communication. Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang’s novels well show the changed female’s consciousness and sexuality in a detail after Korean War, and it describe the way that the women’s fight for their freedom against the social pressure by mainly male control. Likewise, the novel also reflected the movement of female to find the self&amp;#8208;identification under the poverty.
For that reason, in this point of view, it might be the meaningful study to cover Shin&amp;#8208;Jan Kang’s first novel to 70’s his novel of short and medium&amp;#8208;length stories, and I believe it can be the implement to explicate the female’s body and sexuality concept that were against the male dominated sexuality of female. Also, the argument related to an existentialism which appeared with the panic of consciousness have been intentionally spread, the sensitive and constructive attitude to female’s sexuality can be explained as her mutiny of novelist perception. Furthermore, in Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang’s novels, since many of concepts to sexuality had been underestimated among Korean literature field, thorough this research and study, I believe, finding the meaning and value that she tried to express into her works about sexuality will give the opportunity to reconsider the work’s value of Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang that had been only pointed out the emotional expression and sensuous technique. To this propose that I mention above, this study article will cover the novels of Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang with a female point of view, and look up sexuality and body of female too.
As well, this study will give the prospect to look inside of the meaning of female leaders in her novels. So, this research will carefully lead the character who do what she want to do without hesitate under the male&amp;#8208;dominated social structure by female&amp;#8208;dominated concept, since Historically in South Korea, female sexuality has been seen in the many male&amp;#8208;dominated cultures as subordinate to the male sexuality, and as something to be controlled by society by restrictions on female behavior. Additionally, this study’s propose is that will cover of the characters and society in the novel and making a centered connection of the hidden meaning between characters and conditions will explain about Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang’s skill how her literature style affected to be effective to represent the meaning and value in her novel.
In Chapter II, the female body as symbol text of sexuality based on an imagination of male&amp;#8208;dominated. The bodies considered as the place where the female enjoy sexual and pleasure head only for their desire for intercourse, and it continually replace for fulfillment. This is an opposed position, since the image that the female created representing a sexual fulfillment without intercourse with male. Also, in the novels, the time not has the narrative continuance. It is not systemically continuing the story, in this result, Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang’s novels can get the freedom of expression and diversity to write story without a limitation concern of the time line and created the romantic stage beside male’s story are written by timeliness with deinstitutionalize that possibly lead a limited story line. In addition, those female leader’s characters with the author’s sensible story line portray them as a remarkable sexual model in the novel.
In Chapter III, Parallel with family succession in Confucian sexual values is “purity of kinship.” “Purity of kinship” includes not only the prohibitions of interracial and interclass marriages, but also resistance against male&amp;#8208;dominated sexual standard by showing the female sexual realization toward her work. And each character has independent and illegal places to extend to their desire. Those illegal places can possibly offer the place where describe an extreme sexual condition, and the novel shown that leaders have mentally and emotionally independent place that they own. The author show the resistance symbol that denied the traditional social ideal with literature style in her novel, and this expression illustrate an opposition of unethical issue to society about the sexuality. Then, this expression and literature style might be explained with the female leader as the effective and powerful model of resistance.
In Chapter IV, I will cover the values of individual want and how it was expressed “mirror of sexuality” through the female’s body. Female characters represented an active intellect and positive will in the novel, and attitude rooted in the self&amp;#8208;reflection is a motivation to satisfy the aspiration of their spirit. The positive female mode affect to the female who use to the male&amp;#8208;dominated social structure to follow the step of female leader with a strong will. This movement lead the female to have agreement and place to be free from pressure of traditional pressure with the public that man have been created in the history. Not only that, those characters show that they use their body as the sexual scheme to achieve what they want, and seems like the author maintained the standpoint that step down from the public judgment and moral issue in the work of fiction. Also, this objective story line showed an analytic thought of the author that can be explained as the way to get an understandable reason on characters of conduct.
The aspect of resistance image on the female leader builds a political protest by broken pre modern of accepted wisdom and value in the novel. Female leaders not represent the following of fatalism, and they more to be denied to unfairness of feudalistic values. To defeat from worst position, they use the tactic, expression and awareness of sexuality to away from the loneliness and conflict situation, and tried to confirm an existence of consciousness as well. Overall, the female perceive political power through a relationships in a positive way by using the body expression, and work for tactic of sexuality to set up the main model in the society. Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang had been realized of a high economic efficiency on the female leader and characterizes them with aesthetic style. Hence, historically, people understand and estimate Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang’s book as renounce their right and believe in the faith, so this study will verify the side of independent and positive female model in her work of fiction. And this was not just a temporary resistance; it will be evidence for the retrieval in the factors of an active ego and will of female draw women into industrial prostitution. In view of the fact that, in her story, the bodies of female represent not a sexual subject, it more like to describe as the sexual leader. This progression can explain the new stream of female awareness and improvement on women sexuality. Consequently, previously people did not fully understand. Readers often underestimate the value of Shin&amp;#8208;Jae Kang’s works, through those study results, I want to make an opportunity to revaluate her works and believe it will provide the new approach manner with extended perspective into a limited evaluation that only focus on her corporeal literature style and lyric subject matter.;한국전쟁 이후 정신적 공황상태에서 벗어나기 위한 실존주의가 급격하게 확산되면서 이념과 계급구조에 관한 소설이 주를 이루게 되었다. 그리고 이러한 상황 속에서 개인의 내면적인 갈등과 정서적인 상황을 주제의식으로 삼고 있는 소설들은 사회의식이 결여되어 있다는 이유로 비판을 받았다. 특히 여성 작가들이 이러한 작품을 썼을 경우, 감상적인 여류소설로 분류되어 외면되었다. 따라서 이 시기에 작품 활동을 시작했던 강신재 역시 그의 활발한 작품 활동에도 불구하고 축소되고 왜곡된 평가를 받았다. 그는 등단과 함께 감각적이고 서정적인 내용과 문체로 주목을 받았지만, 그의 작품 속에서 나타나는 비극적인 상황들은 현실을 외면하고 도피하는 것으로 해석되었다. 그러나 강신재는 현실을 도피하는 것에서 그치지 않고 나아가 부조리한 현실을 고발하는 모습을 보여주고 있다. 또한 이러한 과정은 무엇보다도 인물들의 성(性)의식을 통해서 구체적으로 나타나고 있으며 특히 당시 여성의 섹슈얼리티에 대한 고찰을 가능하게 한다.
섹슈얼리티에 관해 논의 하는 것은 몸과 자기 정체성, 그리고 사회 규범이 연결되는 지점을 살펴보는 것을 통해서, 근대적인 이데올로기의 중추를 이루는 관계망을 파악할 수 있는 방법론 중의 하나라고 할 수 있다. 따라서 섹슈얼리티에 관한 문제는 쾌락의 서열화와 더불어 사회적으로 승화된 젠더의 범주를 생각할 수 있게 하고, 또한 담론과 이데올로기가 욕망을 통제하고 생산해 온 과정을 고찰할 수 있게 한다. 그리고 강신재의 작품들은 전쟁 후 급격하게 변화된 여성의 의식과 섹슈얼리티를 섬세하게 나타내고 있으며, 이것을 통해 여성들이 사회의 억압적인 측면에 대해서 대응하는 모습들을 살펴볼 수 있게 한다. 또한 그의 작품 속에서 나타나고 있는 여성 인물들은 전쟁 후 피폐화된 현실 속에서 섹슈얼리티에 대한 자각과 실천을 통해 자신의 정체성을 형성하는 모습을 보여주고 있다.
따라서 이러한 관점에서 강신재의 초기 단편집에서부터 70년대까지의 중·단편이 나타내고 있는 여성의 섹슈얼리티를 검토해 보는 것은 중층적인 여성 억압 속에서도 여성의 몸과 섹슈얼리티에 대해 저항적이었던 강신재 작품의 의의를 살펴볼 수 있는 의미 있는 작업이 될 것이다. 또한 의식의 공황으로 인해 나타난 실존주의와 관련된 담론이 의도적으로 확산되고 있는 가운데에서도, 감각적이고 적극적인 여성의 섹슈얼리티에 대해 언급하고 있는 강신재의 태도는 그의 더욱 저항적인 작가의식을 나타내는 것으로 볼 수 있다. 뿐만 아니라 강신재의 작품 속에서 나타나고 있는 전복적인 측면들은 그동안 우리 문학사에서 제대로 평가받지 못한 채 소외되어 있었기 때문에, 이러한 연구를 통해서 그 의의를 새롭게 밝히는 것은 서정적인 주제의식과 감각적인 기법에 한정되어 있던 강신재 소설에 대한 평가의 폭을 넓힐 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.
이러한 연구 목적을 위하여 본고는 강신재의 소설을 여성주의 입장에서 다시 살펴보면서, 작품 속의 여성인물이 나타내고 있는 여성의 몸과 섹슈얼리티를 살펴보고자 한다. 그리고 이러한 연구는 강신재 소설에서 나타나고 있는 여성주체들의 전복적인 움직임들을 가장 구체적으로 살펴볼 수 있게 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 억압되어 있던 자신의 욕망을 인식하고 발현하는 여성주체와 이것을 뒷받침 해주고 있는 공간의 특성을 살펴보고, 아울러 인물과 공간으로 구성된 소설 속의 세계가 구축하고 있는 의미와 이것을 더욱 효과적으로 나타내도록 하는 작품의 서사에 대해서 연구하는 것을 목표로 한다.
Ⅱ장에서는 기억된 텍스트로 기능하는 여성의 몸을 통해 나타나고 있는 상상적 섹슈얼리티에 대해서 살펴보고자 한다. 여기에서 나타나는 여성 주체들은 성적(性的)욕망이 되는 대상들을 감각적으로 인식하고 그것을 자신의 몸을 통해 재생시키면서 즐기는 유희적인 태도를 보여주고 있다. 이들은 반드시 남성의 성기를 통한 접촉이 아니더라도 성적만족감을 느끼는 모습을 보여주고 있기 때문에 전복적인 의미를 나타내고 있다. 또한 이들의 시간은 서사적인 연속성을 가지고 있지 않고, 인물들의 반복적인 감각에 따라 재생되기 때문에 획일성과 위계적인 면을 갖추고 있는 남성적인 문화와 달리 다양성을 내포하고 있다. 그리고 이러한 인물들은 시간뿐만 아니라 공간에서도 현실적인 제약에서 벗어나 그것을 자신의 감각에 따라 내면화시켜서 낭만적인 공간으로 창조하는 모습을 보여주고 있다. 뿐만 아니라 이러한 여성주체들의 모습들은 작가의 감각적인 서사를 통해 더욱 첨예하게 나타나고 있으며, 이것은 여성의 상상적 섹슈얼리티가 지닌 관능성을 두드러지게 한다.
Ⅲ장에서는 금기를 부정하는 일탈하는 몸을 통해 드러나는 저항적인 섹슈얼리티를 살펴보고자 한다. 이러한 저항적인 섹슈얼리티를 나타내는 여성주체들은 자신들의 욕망을 인식함과 동시에 그것을 거침없이 폭로하는 특성을 보여준다. 그리고 이들은 자신들의 욕망을 확장시키기 위한 독립적이고 위반적인 공간을 갖고 있다. 이러한 위반적인 공간은 이들의 극단적인 성적 상황에 대한 묘사를 가능하게 하며, 폭로적인 주체들이 물리적으로 독립된 공간뿐만 아니라 정신적으로도 독립적인 자신만의 공간을 갖고 있는 것을 알 수 있게 한다. 또한 작가는 저항적 섹슈얼리티를 나타내는 여성 주체들의 모습을 중층적인 서사를 통해서 보여주고 있으며 일탈의 범주를 규정하고 있는 사회적 관념에 대한 의문을 제기하고 있다. 그리고 이러한 중층적인 서사는 섹슈얼리티에 대한 서술자의 양가적인 태도를 통해서 주체의 부도덕한 선택에 대한 저항적인 의미를 심화시키고 있다. 따라서 이러한 서사는 성적 일탈을 억압하려고 하는 관점에 저항하는 여성주체의 모습을 효과적으로 나타내면서 저항적인 여성 섹슈얼리티를 강화하고 있는 것으로 볼 수 있다.
Ⅳ장에서는 개인의 주체적인 의지의 중요성에 대해 성찰하고 이것을 행동으로 옮기는 여성 주체의 실천하는 몸을 통해서 나타나는 성찰적인 섹슈얼리티를 살펴보고자 한다. 여기서 나타나는 여성 주체들은 자신의 자아를 회복하고자 하는 강한 의지와 함께 능동적이고 적극적인 모습을 보여준다. 그리고 그들의 성찰적인 태도는 여성 주체들이 자신의 욕망을 위한 구체적인 실천을 가능하게 하는 원동력으로 작용한다. 또한 능동적인 여성 주체는 이러한 자율적인 태도를 전통적 질서에 익숙한 여성 주체들에게 확산시키면서 연대의식을 형성하고 해방적인 공간을 만들어간다. 뿐만 아니라 이들은 절박한 현실 속에서 자신의 성(性)을 전략적으로 활용하는 모습을 보여주고 있으며, 작가는 이러한 여성주체들의 행동에 대해 거리를 유지하고 그것의 도덕적 가치판단을 유보하는 모습을 보여준다. 또한 이러한 객관적 서사는 분석적인 태도를 통해 여성 주체의 행동에 대한 타당성을 확보하고자 하는 것으로 파악할 수 있다.
이러한 강신재 소설에서 나타나는 여성 섹슈얼리티의 저항적인 측면은 전근대적 가치에 균열을 일으키는 여성주체들이 새로운 성(性)의 정치학을 구축하는 모습을 보여주고 있다. 그들은 삶에 대해 운명론적인 체념을 보여주는 것이 아니라 봉건적인 가치관이 내재한 불합리한 측면에 반발하고 있으며, 합리적 측면을 따르려는 의지를 보여준다. 또한 이러한 여성 주체들은 현실적인 고통으로 인한 소외와 고독감 및 갈등상황을 자신의 섹슈얼리티에 대한 인식과 표현을 통해서 극복하고자 하며, 성적 주체로서 자신들의 실존의식을 확인하고자 한다. 그리고 이들은 ‘몸을 통한 새로운 성적 권력의 형성’을 인식하고 여성의 주체화를 위한 섹슈얼리티의 전략적인 기능에 주목하고 있다. 그리고 강신재는 여성주체가 몸의 경제적인 효율성을 의식하고 생존 전략을 획득하는 모습을 객관적으로 조망할 수 있도록 미학적으로 배려하고 있다. 따라서 강신재 소설에서 나타나고 있는 여성 섹슈얼리티에 대한 연구는 운명에 체념하는 감상적인 인물들로 평가를 받아온 강신재 소설의 여성 인물들의 주체적이고 새롭게 태어나고자 하는 긍정적인 면을 갖고 있음을 부각시킬 수 있다고 생각한다. 그리고 이것은 일시적인 저항으로 머무르지 않고, 여성주체의 능동적인 의지와 자아의 회복을 보여준다. 때문에 그녀의 소설에서 나타나는 여성의 몸은 쾌락의 대상이 아닌 쾌락의 주체로 거듭나고 있으며, 이러한 과정은 자율적인 성장을 보여주는 여성주체의 ‘의지적인 의식의 흐름’을 파악할 수 있게 한다. 따라서 그동안 우리 문학사에서 강신재의 작품 속에서 나타나고 있는 전복적인 측면들이 제대로 평가받지 못하고 소외되었기 때문에, 이러한 연구 결과를 통해 그 의의를 새롭게 밝히는 것은 그동안 서정적인 주제의식과 감각적인 기법에 한정되어 있던 강신재 소설에 대한 새로운 시각을 제공할 수 있으며 문학사적 의의에 대한 평가의 폭을 넓힐 수 있을 것으로 생각한다.국문초록 = ⅲ
