De Beste Eventyrene
First created and published by Creations for Children International in Belgium. This was a desperate purchase at a fine new book shop in Oslo when I seemed unable to find any fable books at all. A later visit to Oslo would change that perception. In the meantime, the saleswoman was very understanding: These Norwegians don't know what fables are. We don't get many fable books here. In this version, the Kaiser gets down to a nightshirt. The title-page is clever by hiding him from our view behind a full-size mirror into which he must be gazing. The artistry follows the style of comics or bandes dessinées. His deceivers seem to be a fox and a duck, but then apparently all the townsfolk except the Kaiser are animals. The minister and servants, for example, seem to be dogs. The child here seems to be a male, and his comment brings laughter out of the population. What I can perceive of the book does not rate high marks. This is a hardbound book (hard cover)Language note: NorwegianHans Christian Andersen; oversatt og gjenfortalt av Conrad Howar
On quasi-uniform space valued semi-continuous functions
summary:F. van Gool [Comment. Math. Univ. Carolin. {\bf 33} (1992), 505--523] has introduced the concept of lower semicontinuity for functions with values in a quasi-uniform space (R,\Cal U). This note provides a purely topological view at the basic ideas of van Gool. The lower semicontinuity of van Gool appears to be just the continuity with respect to the topology T(\Cal U) generated by the quasi-uniformity \Cal U, so that many of his preparatory results become consequences of standard topological facts. In particular, when the order induced by \Cal U makes into a continuous lattice, then T(\Cal U) agrees with the Scott topology on and, thus, the lower semicontinuity reduces to a well known concept

Digital Simulation of the City for Three Millions Inhabitants by Le Corbusier: Geometrical analysis, electronic reconstruction and video animation
The research that is presented describes the geometrical analysis and the digital reconstruction of one of the most important designs by Le Corbusier: the City of Three Millions Inhabitants, it represents one of the most impressive solutions of the idea of Future City done during the XX Century, and a lot of its architectural elements are now part of contemporary buildings. The aim of the research was to understand the main morphological aspects of it and compare the different solutions made by the author during his life, starting from the first public presentation in occasion of the Salon d'Automne in Paris (1922) and to reconstruct the 3D digital realistic-textured model of it, in order to realize the video that describes the whole project of the city, the research was done at the Faculty of Architecture of the IUAV University of Venice
