PSYNDEX Tests Review für BYI-2 - Beck Youth Inventories - Second Edition - deutsche Fassung
This is a PSYNDEX Tests Review of BYI-2 - Beck Youth Inventories - Second Edition - deutsche Fassung. PSYNDEX Tests Reviews are written in German and describe and evaluate psychological and educational tests used in the German-speaking countries. PSYNDEX Tests is offered by the Leibniz Institute for Psychology as open access documentation. Aufbau: Die BYI-2 setzen sich zusammen aus den fünf Inventaren Beck Self-Concept Inventory for Youth (BSCI-Y), Beck Anxiety Inventory for Youth (BAI-Y), Beck Depression Inventory for Youth (BDI-Y), Beck Anger Inventory for Youth (BANI-Y) und Beck Disruptive Behavior Inventory for Youth (BDBI-Y) mit je 20 Items zusammen.

Charles J. Beck to Hon. S. R. Brame, April 22, 1921
In a letter to the Honorable S. R. Brame on April 22, 1921, Charles J. Beck, Federal Prohibition Agent, describes a distillery he aided in seizing and destroying on April 12. Jim Woodring and Charles Anders were arrested and detained in Sylva, N.C., and Beck has evidence to support the prosecution of John Woods.OFFICE OF

Sir:*
I have the honor to report that on April 12, 1921,
I proceeded from two miles west of Tuckaseegee, Jackson Co.,
N. C. by auto 4 miles east in company with C. C. Mason,
Deputy U.S.Marshal, and W. J. Hollifield, at 4 a.m.,
thence on foot 1 mile northeast to a point where #e seized
and destroyed an illicit distillery consisting of the
following property.-
4 fermenters, 1 stone furnace, 240 gald. beer,
5 gals, low wine, 5 gal. can corn whisky, 1 flake stand,
3 1-gal.jugs, 30 ft. troughing, 1 shovel, 1 copper still
of 60 gal. capacity, 1 copper condenser, 1 wood doubler.
When we arrived atf this distillery there was no
one present. We watched this distillery one-half hour.
Jim Woodring came to this distillery with a half-gal.
fruit jar. He was detained and taken away from this
distillery, and in one hour Charles Anders came in to this
distillery with four jugs. Both men were detained and
taken before U. S. Commissioner F. A. Brown at Sylva.N.C.
They''were tried, failed to give bond, and ?/ere placed in
jail at Sylva, N.C. • '
This distillery was one-fourth mile from John Woods'
house. There was a plain trial from this distillery to his
house, We followed the sign from Woods' house about 100
yards and there fpund 8 gals, of corn whisky, and vessels
enough"to hold 10 more gals, hidden under the leaves.
IaJ\eav^nig''h.is., place we had to cross the public road, but
the afresh signaled from his gate across the road.
We recommend that John Woods be prosecuted on this
evidence. , ~-u~. -

Selenium and iodine supplementation of rural Tibetan children affected by Kashin-Beck osteoarthropathy
Background: Kashin-Beck disease is an osteoarthropathy endemic in selenium- and iodine-deficient areas around Lhasa, Tibet. Objective: We assessed the efficacy of selenium supplementation on disease progression. Design: A double-blind, randomized controlled trial of selenium supplementation was carried out in 324 children aged 5-15 y who had Kashin-Beck disease. Two hundred eighty children received iodized oil before being randomly assigned to receive selenium or placebo, and a control group of 44 subjects was not supplemented at all. Clinical and radiologic signs, selenium status, urinary iodine, and thyroid function were evaluated at baseline and at 12 mo. Results: The frequencies of joint pain, decreased joint mobility, and radiologic abnormalities were not significantly different between the 3 groups at 12 mo. Height-for-age z scores increased significantly in the subjects who received placebo and iodine or selenium and iodine. In contrast, unsupplemented control subjects did not recover from growth retardation. Serum selenium concentrations at 12 mo were within the reference range and were significantly greater in the selenium-iodine group than in the placebo-iodine group. Serum thyroid hormone concentrations were within the reference ranges after the administration of iodine, and these values were not significantly affected by selenium supplementation. Conclusions: The results of this study do not rule out the possibility that selenium may help to prevent the occurrence of Kashin-Beck disease. However, selenium supplementation had no effect on established Kashin-Beck disease, growth, or thyroid function once iodine deficiency was corrected. These results suggest that iodine, but not selenium, deficiency should be corrected in Tibetan children with Kashin-Beck disease.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishe
