The theoretical part provides information on principles of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention, works preventative care and on preventative programmes of health insurance companies. Apart from this, I also deal with the role and options open to a general nurses in terms of provision of preventative care with a general practitioner. In the empirical part, I analyse questionnaires focused on a survey of the level of informedness and interest on the part of the public with regards to general preventative examinations. I also present the results of a study, in terms of which invitations to a general preventative examination were sent out to 100 patients, registered in the surgery of the general practitioner where I work.     Climate changes shortened life cycles of products and services, the consumption of a large part of non-renewable natural resources, the continuous increase in the population of the planet all lead to the need to find new ways and means to satisfy people’s needs. The matter of utilizing more efficient use of resources, development of such products that allow reuse through repair and recycling is crucial nowadays. A reorientation is needed from the well-known traditional linear system of using raw materials and creating large amounts of waste to a new system that allows circularity. This is the basis of the circular economy, the implementation of which implies the creation of new products, that allow their subsequent recycling and reuse of the resources invested in them.     Crisis events represent perceived dangers that people must deal with. They are part of the life and development of any system. Crisis situations can arise suddenly, but they can also develop gradually. The consequences of crises can be beneficial or detrimental to those affected. In order to deal with crisis situations, it is necessary to take specific actions to support the process of restoring the equilibrium state. Part of the emerging crises stem from natural and climatic factors, which humanity must take into account. Another part, however, has an anthropogenic character and, accordingly, people could manage them. In this regard, the aim of the present work is to analyze the crisis events in Bulgaria for the period 2021-2022 and to determine the nature of the prevailing crises, based on the available statistical information

    Passion Themes in the Early Stories of Chekhov

    This bachelor thesis is specifically concerned with the genre of Easter story within the work of A. P. Chekhov. In view of the fact that it represents a relatively broad topic, the author primarily concentrates on the early writer's work. The theoretical part deals with the significance of Easter in relation to Russian cultural archetype and the formation, development and characteristics of Russian Easter story in the context of as it is called "holiday" literature. The main goal of the practical part is to put an interpretation on selected stories by means of the text analysis, to identify key motifs and innovative techniques, which were used by the author as a reaction to the crisis of the genre and also as attributes of his literary expression anticipating the modern literary movements. Author's innovative stylistics is characterized by ambivalence, laconism, tragicomic features, new narrative techniques and genre experiments. Concluding findings have been made on the basis of the analysis of separate stories showing Chekhov's poetics, his overall approach revealing humanistic message of author's Easter stories, Chekhov's concept of religious belief and Orthodox Church

    Dietary mineral and vitamin supplementation improved the reproduction, the haematology, and some circulating biochemical’s of cyclic East-Bulgarian and Arabian mares

    This study aimed to investigate the dietary mineral and vitamin supplementation on the hematological, the circulating biochemical parameters, and the reproductive performance of cyclic mares aged 4–12 years old. Purebred Arabian (PAB, n = 8) and East-Bulgarian (EBB, n = 12) breeds were equally divided into treated and control groups. The nutritional supplement was given orally (50 g daily/animal/day) for seven consecutive days and repeated for 4 consecutive months. All mares were examined daily with ultrasound from exhibiting oestrus signs till ovulation. Blood samples were collected with and without anticoagulant before supplementation, on Day 7 and Day 120 for the measurement of ALT, lactate dehydrogenase, bilirubin, calcium, phosphorus, and creatinine and to perform full blood picture. The nutritional supplement decreased lactate dehydrogenase (p < .05) and creatinine (p < .05). Compared to the PAB mares, control mares had one day shorter oestrous cycle length (20.2 ± 2.13 vs 21.0 ± 2.46 days), but the treated EBB mares had two days shorter oestrus cycle (20.00 ± 1.202 vs 22.00 ± 0.93 days). The oestrus phase of the treated mares was shorter (p < .001) than that of the control mares (3.63 ± 0.38 vs 5.50 ± 0.31 days). The diameter of the dominant follicle varied (p < .05) between the two breeds that was 38.25 ± 1.90 and 36.94 ± 1.70 mm for treated and control EBB but was 35.38 ± 1.41 and 34.89 ± 1.35 mm for treated and control PAB. In conclusion, the nutritional supplement had a good effect on the reproductive status, and on the blood parameters (hematological and biochemical) of the mares, but more research is necessary to recommend its use.Highlights The addition of the nutritional supplementation to the mares from the East-Bulgarian breed lead to shorter oestrus. There was a tendency to shorten the sexual cycle (up to 2 days) and increase the size of the dominant follicles in mares receiving the supplement

    Interdisciplinary relationships in the educational areas of Human Biology and Mathematics at Lower Secondary Level

    The main target of the diploma thesis was the creation of worksheets on the topic of intersubject relationships of natural history and mathematics, which focus on 6 topics. The worksheets link the 8th grade science curriculum - human biology and mathematics. The other target is to enable students to adopt learning strategies and to motivate them. Encourage students to think creatively, think logically and solve problems. The didactic target of the worksheets is the acquisition, deepening and consolidation of the subject matter and the involvement of intersubject relationships. Worksheets and created questionnaires are used in three primary schools for a total of 91 students, of which 49 are boys and 42 are girls. Eight research questions were asked: Do the overall evaluations of the worksheets differ between individual groups of students? Yes. The results of the tests of primary school students (pilot study) were not included in the comparison. The overall percentage evaluation of the two groups of ES2 and one group of ES3 practically did not differ (about 40 %). The difference in the average values of the results of two parallel groups of ES3 was calculated as statistically significant (p = 0.034). Are overall worksheet grades correlate statistically significantly with report card grades? Yes. The correlation coefficient in group B1 was -0.817 for girls, boys had a correlation of -0.892. In group B2, the correlation for boys is -0.765, for girls it is 0.141 (exception from the observed trend, statistically insignificant relationship). Group C1 correlation result for girls is -0.833 and for boys -0.990. In the last group C2, the correlation is -0.811 for boys and -0.962 for girls. Does the student's estimate of points obtained as a percentage correlate positively with the actual grade? Yes. In (ES1) group A1 correlation 0.569, group A2 correlation 0.664. School (ES2) group B1 correlation 0.489, group B2 correlation 0.555. School (ES3) group C1 correlation 0.854 and group C2 correlation 0.382. There is a positive correlation here. Which areas cause the students the biggest problems and which ones do they manage best? Students had the biggest problem when preparing the worksheets with the range of questions from the topic of the digestive system and anthropometry, on the contrary, they coped best with the topic of axial symmetry. To what extent do the students know the concept of intersubject relationships? 36 % of students know the concept of intersubject relationships, but do not encounter them in lessons. Would students like more cross-curricular connections in maths and science lessons? Only 11 students out of a total of 91 answered that they would like more cross-curricular connections in maths and science lessons. In the opinion of the students, can the teacher include inter-subject relationships in the teaching? He can, but only in some subjects. What is the popularity of the subjects with students (is it important to motivate and activate students)? The average popularity score for mathematics from all schools is 3.5 and for science 3.1. The feedback showed that most students found the worksheets difficult, some praised the interesting connection between mathematics and science. The feedback from the teachers was generally positive, some suggested division into smaller units always related to the discussed topic, which also corresponds to the idea of the author of the work, which could not be fulfilled for organizational reasons

V rámci teoretické části dochází kvymezení pojmu škola v přírodě, seznámení s legislativou dané problematiky a je zdetaké věnován prostor výchově zážitkem, která by měla být součástí škol v přírodě.Výzkumná část se zaměřuje na zmíněné cíle práce, vyhodnocením dotazníkovéhošetření dochází k porovnání názorů učitelů různých skupin.     &lt;p&gt;The UK COVID-19 Vocal Audio Dataset is designed for the training and evaluation of machine learning models that classify SARS-CoV-2 infection status or associated respiratory symptoms using vocal audio. The UK Health Security Agency recruited voluntary participants through the national Test and Trace programme and the REACT-1 survey in England from March 2021 to March 2022, during dominant transmission of the Alpha and Delta SARS-CoV-2 variants and some Omicron variant sublineages. Audio recordings of volitional coughs, exhalations, and speech (speech not available in open access version) were collected in the 'Speak up to help beat coronavirus' digital survey alongside demographic, self-reported symptom and respiratory condition data, and linked to SARS-CoV-2 test results. The UK COVID-19 Vocal Audio Dataset represents the largest collection of SARS-CoV-2 PCR-referenced audio recordings to date. PCR results were linked to 70,794 of 72,999 participants and 24,155 of 25,776 positive cases. Respiratory symptoms were reported by 45.62% of participants.
