Bibliometric analysis of the articles published in the Rawal Medical Journal between 2008 and 2019
Objective: To present bibliometric analysis of the articles published in Rawal Medical Journal (RMJ) from 2008 to2019.Methodology: We used the Scopus database, during the months of August and September 2020, for the retrieval and analysis of RMJ publications. We downloaded the retrieved dataset in the Comma Separated Values (CSV) format and transferred the file to a Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet for analysis. We also compared the citations of top 10 most cited RMJ publications in the Scopus to the Google Scholar citations. Results: A total of 1,487 articles were found, published in 12 volumes and 42 issues, with an average of 3.91 pages per document. The articles published in RMJ received 1,003 citations in the Scopus database with an impact of 0.67 citations per article. The Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad was the most contributing organization with 82 publications and Ashfaq Ahmed was the most contributing author with 21 publications. The authors, outside Pakistan, belonged to 31 countries and Jordan was ranked first with 119 publications. Conclusion: A promising growth in the number of publications in RMJ is observed during last 12 years. However, there is a dire need to encourage authors to write on innovative ideas in collaboration with international researchers to enhance the citation impact of articles published in the journa
On polar Legendre polynomials
10 pages, no figures.-- MSC2000 codes: Primary 42C05; Secondary 33C25.-- ArXiv pre-print available at: http://arxiv.org/abs/0709.4537Accepted in Rocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics. We introduce a new class of polynomials {Pn}, that we call polar Legendre polynomials, they appear as solutions of an inverse Gauss problem of equilibrium
position of a field of forces with n + 1 unit masses. We study algebraic, differential
and asymptotic properties of this class of polynomials, that are simultaneously
orthogonal with respect to a differential operator and a discrete-continuous Sobolev

Orthogonal polynomials with respect to a differential operator. Existence and uniqueness
15 pages, no figures.-- MSC1991 codes: Primary 42C05.MR#: MR1934900 (2003i:42033)Zbl#: Zbl 1029.42018A new type of orthogonal polynomial connected withlin ear differential operators, intimately related withS obolev orthogonal polynomials and Hermite-Padé polynomials, is introduced. We study the question of uniqueness of the sequence of orthogonal polynomials arising from this construction. As we show, this problem is related to the analytic properties of the fundamental system of solutions of the operator. The notion of T-system of Tchebyshev plays a key role in the analysis. Some examples of general classes of operators which produce a unique system of polynomials are given. The research of the first author (A.I.A.) was supported by grant 93-01278 of the Russian

Cardinal invariants and special maps of quasicontinuous functions with the topology of pointwise convergence
[EN] For topological spaces X and Y, let Qp(X,Y) be the space of all quasicontinuous functions from X to Y with the topology of pointwise convergence. In this paper, we study the cardinal invariants such as cellularity, character, weight, density, pseudocharacter and spread of the space Qp(X,Y). We also discuss the properties of the restriction and induced maps related to the space Qp(X,Y).The first author acknowledges the fellowship grant of University Grant Commission, India with Student-ID DEC18-414765.Kumar, M.; Tyagi, BK. Can the concept of “lean management” be applied to academic recruitment? – a quasi-theoretical discourse
This paper seeks to emphasise the need to re-evaluate university teacher recruitment processes. The implementation of lean processes helps to improve organisational practices; in the case of universityrecruitment, however, organisational processes have remained unchanged for decades. Although there is atraditional justification for having academic recruitment as a rigorous and complex process (as a practicedmethod by which to identify the most suitable applicants), the increase of competition across the sector, andthe internet revolution, has rendered these older methods partially ineffective. The author argues thatrecruitment systems and practices need reviewing to overhaul inefficacious elements
Meromorphic traveling wave solutions of the complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation
We look for singlevalued solutions of the squared modulus M of the traveling wave reduction of the complex cubic-quintic Ginzburg-Landau equation. Using Clunie's lemma, we first prove that any meromorphic solution M is necessarily elliptic or degenerate elliptic. We then give the two canonical decompositions of the new elliptic solution recently obtained by the subequation method. © 2012 The Author(s).postprin
Topical application of heparin for the correction of ocular surface lesions
Yartsev V.D.
Scientific Research Institute of Eye Diseases, Moscow
The article considers historical aspects of topical application of heparin in ophthalmology, it provides the description of anti-inflammatory action mechanism of heparin. The study describes in detail the indications for application of heparin ointment or heparin eye-drops in mono- or complex-therapy of dry eye syndrome, traumatic and burn keratitis, in some types of keratopathy. The experience of Russian and foreign researchers is analyzed (51 source in total). The author comes to the conclusion that topical use of heparin is pathogenically justified in the treatment of different inflammatory, dystrophic and degenerative conditions of ocular surface. Special attention is given to the treatment of patients with corneal burn. Disinfectant properties of heparin were found to be useful for etiotropic treatment of the patients with conjunctivitis or keratitis in mono- or combined therapy. The new drug forms of heparin, such as ocular ointment and eye drops, enable to choose the dose of the drug individually and accurately for the patients with different pathology of ocular surface, thus personifying the treatment.
Key words: heparin, artificial tear, ocular surface, dry eye syndrome, keratopathy, corneal burn, PARIN-POS®, HYLOPARIN-COMOD®.

Mapping theorems on countable tightness and a question of F. Siwiec
summary:In this paper -quotient maps and -spaces are introduced. It is shown that (1) countable tightness is characterized by -quotient maps and quotient maps; (2) a space has countable tightness if and only if it is a countably bi-quotient image of a locally countable space, which gives an answer for a question posed by F. Siwiec in 1975; (3) -spaces are characterized as the -quotient images of metric spaces; (4) assuming , a compact -space is an -space if and only if every countably compact subset is strongly sequentially closed, which improves some results about sequential spaces obtained by M. Ismail and P. Nyikos in 1980
Measuring the impact of records management
PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to provide a source of reliable, empirical data regarding the return on investment (ROI) that can be achieved by an organization through various approaches to improving the management of records. It is hoped that these data will help address the current dearth in such evidence in relation to records management and provide a source of citable reference data as part of the business case for investment in records management elsewhere. The paper also aims to explore some of the issues and challenges surrounding the measurement, analysis and interpretation of performance data in relation to records management.Design/methodology/approachThis paper draws on the collected outputs of six UK higher education institutions, each of which were funded to pilot the JISC infoNet Impact Calculator. All six of these projects used the same transparent tool (the Impact Calculator) as the basis for their data collection and analysis, but each chose to apply it to different records management projects and organizational contexts. This paper assesses the key findings from each pilot project in turn, whilst also considering the more general issues and challenges regarding the measurement of impact with regards to records management that has emerged through the collective experience of these projects.FindingsThis paper provides demonstrable proof that investment in improvements to records management can realise significant and sustained financial ROI. It also uncovers some interesting variations in this overall picture, making it possible to start to identify which aspect of records management is likely to yield the greatest ROI and at what scale it needs to operate before this can be realised.Originality/valueA previous extensive literature review undertaken by the author indicates that no other such source of empirical data currently exists in an openly accessible published form. It is hoped that doing so in a respected, peer‐reviewed journal such as the RMJ will provide a valuable service to records professionals by not only providing such data, but also a full account of the context and methodology used to generate it.</jats:sec
On the formation mechanisms of the diffuse atmospheric pressure dielectric barrier discharge in CVD processes of thin silica-like films
Pathways of formation and temporal evolution of the diffuse dielectric barrier discharge at atmospheric pressure were experimentally studied in this work by means of optical (fast imaging camera) and electrical diagnostics. The chosen model system is relevant for applications of plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition of thin silica-like film on the polymeric substrate, from cost-efficient gas mixtures of Ar/N2/O2/hexamethyldisiloxane. It was found that the discharge can gradually experience the phases of homogeneous low current Townsend-like mode, local Townsend to glow transition and expanding high current density (?0.7Acm?2) glow-like mode. While the glow-like current spot occupies momentarily only a small part of the electrode area, its expanding behavior provides uniform treatment of the whole substrate surface. Alternatively, it was observed that a visually uniform discharge can be formed by the numerous microdischarges overlapping over the large electrode area.Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineerin
