Full text linkGambling is a social disease that threatens real or potential social norms so that it can threaten the continuity of the social order. The purpose of this study was to determine the non-penal policy against the criminal act of cockfighting in the current and future jurisdiction of the Kota Baru Police to determine the applicable police policy to eradicate it. In this study the author uses empirical juridical research methods. The type of research in this research is empirical juridical which is carried out directly to the Kota Baru Police Office with the research specification being descriptive. Sources of data are field research and literature. This study uses a legal approach with data collection techniques using interviews and qualitative data analysis. The results of this study are that the non-penal policy by the Kota Baru Sector Police against perpetrators of criminal acts of cockfighting gambling is carried out through pre-emptive efforts, a focused effort to encourage cockfighting gamblers to raise awareness and refrain from further gambling, which may disturb the security and order of the surrounding community. Then take preventive action as the basis for eradicating gambling crimes in the jurisdiction of the Kota Baru Police. Furthermore, through repressive efforts, direct action is taken to eradicate crime, by providing measures to deter perpetrators from repeating their crime

Reported speech is one of important components of English grammar. The reported speech is not only used in written but also in spoken English. Thus, the mastery in making the sentence must be mastered by students in learning English.
This research is intended to know about the degree of the mastery in making reported speech of the twelfth grade students at Islamic Senior High School 4 Martapura academic year 2007/2008. The formulation of problem in this research is how is the degree of the mastery in making reported speech of the twelfth grade students at Islamic Senior High School 4 Martapura academic year 2007/2008.
The subject in this research are the twelfth grade students at Islamic Senior High School 4 Martapura, who have studied in class XII, in academic year 2007/2008, whose number are 47 students, that are divided into two classes, XII Natural Science Program Class and XII Social Class. The object in this research is the mastery in making reported speech of the twelfth grade students at Islamic Senior High School 4 Martapura academic year 2007/2008.
The data of this research are collected through written test, interview, observation, and documentary. All collected data are then processed systematically through editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, and data interpretation. After that, all the data are analyzed descriptively and qualitatively and concluded by using inductive method.
The result of this research indicates that the degree of the mastery in making reported speech of the twelfth grade students at Islamic Senior High School 4 Martapura academic year 2007/2008 is generally in poor category. It is known from the mean (the average score) of the students had from two types of test, that is 31, 53, which means poor. There are still most of students can not understand about the patterns of reported speech. Especially, in changing reported speech into direct speech

Full text linkThis study aims to determine and analyze the effectiveness of the use of the Covid-19 isolation house in the village of Markanding, Muaro Jambi Regency. The research method is empirical juridical. The results of his research are in the form of a description of the effectiveness of the use of isolation houses, in which the program is budgeted for through the village budget which turns out to be not utilized or is ineffective to the fullest and even seems in vain. The obstacles encountered in the study were the awareness of the people who were exposed to Covid-19 which did not support where they were closed so they did not notify the officers of the Covid-19 handling post who had their last contact, and the self-isolation treatment stage where some people did not all carry out independent isolation and not also taking advantage of the available isolation houses, besides that it is also related to inadequate infrastructure. So it can be concluded that the isolation house is said to be ineffective
