Multistatic Radar Imaging for Traffic Monitoring
This work presents a novel radar system for vehicle imaging. The proposed system is based on estimation of target parameters like range and velocity and generation of the final radar image. For this purpose, a multistatic Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) system is implemented. Both the simulation and on site measurements show that such a radar system has the potential to replace the current very expensive sensors.Accepted author manuscriptMicrowave Sensing, Signals & System
Kinstate intervention in ethnic conflicts : Albania and Turkey compared
Albania and Turkey did not act in overtly irredentist ways towards their ethnic brethren in neighboring states after the end of communism. Why, nonetheless, did Albania facilitate the increase of ethnic conflict in Kosovo and Macedonia, while Turkey did not, with respect to the Turks of Bulgaria? I argue that kin-states undergoing transition are more prone to intervene in external conflicts than states that are not, regardless of the salience of minority demands in the host-state. The transition weakens the institutions of the kin-state. Experiencing limited institutional constraints, self-seeking state officials create alliances with secessionist and autonomist movements across borders alongside their own ideological, clan-based and particularistic interests. Such alliances are often utilized to advance radical domestic agendas. Unlike in Albania's transition environment, in Turkey there were no emerging elites that could potentially form alliances and use external movements to legitimize their own domestic existence or claims
A Novel Method for Prize Collecting Traveling Salesman Problem with Time Windows
Traveling salesman problem (TSP) is a well-known problem that has been studied for a long time. Prize Collecting Traveling Salesman Problem with Time Windows (PCTSPTW) is a variant of TSP that includes time windows constraints for each customer to be visited and prize for visited nodes. This paper presents a novel method for solving the PCTSPTW. There are two stages in the proposed method. First stage is a novel constructive heuristic for finding solutions by using a three dimensional distance matrix with time windows. Third dimension of the distance matrix is generated dynamically by the time window constraints defined on the nodes. In the constructive heuristic phase, an initial population of solutions is generated which contain solutions that are close to the best generated solution within a threshold value. Then, in the second stage, a genetic algorithm is implemented for making improvements on generated solutions. Results of computational experiments present that our approach outperforms the ones given in the literature. © 2022, The Author(s), under exclusive license to Springer Nature Switzerland AG
A Low SWaP-C Radar Altimeter Transceiver Design for Small Satellites
This paper discusses the design details of a high resolution, low "Size, Weight, Power and Cost" (SWaP-C) radar altimeter (RA) system. Operating frequency of the radar is chosen within the Ka-band to achieve the desired size and weight requirements, that are highly demanded for the small satellite missions in a cost-efficient way. We propose a system design such that, an intended radar altimeter can be built by using the Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) components. The simulation results show that the proposed RA has high potentiality for realization.Accepted author manuscriptMicrowave Sensing, Signals & SystemsAtmospheric Remote SensingMathematical Geodesy and Positionin
Bi-Static Sense and Avoid System for Drones (BiSAD) – The transmitter
Wings for Aid is a company which develops an airborne aid-delivery system in emergency-struck areas and wants to use the radar system of Selfly to make an autonomously flying system. The goal of this project is to optimise the current ground-based radar system of Selfly for this application. This is done through the design of a Bi-static radar system, which can be mounted on, and used for drones to detect and avoid other obstacles in the airspace.\\This thesis describes the design process and results of a sub-system of the Bi-static Sense and Avoid System for Drones (BiSAD). This a Bi-static radar system, consisting of three sub-systems that together form the base of the radar system. There will be one transmitter drone and several smaller receiver drones which are designed. Also, an optimal waveform is created for this purpose.\\The report gives a proof of concept and will focus on a proof of concept for the transmitter chain as well as highlight some total system design choices and results

Transpersonal Religiousness. Joseph Murphy and extended Sub-conscience
U čitavoj navali novih religioznih skupina, učenja i iskustava članak želi istražiti religijsku teoriju Josepha Murphya, čije se knjige u Hrvatskoj prodaju i čiji religiozni rječnik privlači mnoge čitatelje.
U trećemu dijelu, pod naslovom Joseph Murphy i transpersonalna religioznost, autor iznosi svoje prosudbe o toj temi. Joseph Murphy govori o transpersonalnom i ezoterijskom poimanju kršćanstva, Boga, Isusa Krista i čovjeka. Taj govor može biti zanimljiv i privlačan, no ipak, on nije uobičajeni biblijski i kršćanski govor. In the entire rush of new religious groups, teachings and experiences, this article wishes to investigate the religious theory of Joseph Murphy whose book is being sold in Croatia and whose religious language attracts a great number of readers. The article is divided into three sections.
In the first part, entitled Psychologising religion, a context of analysis, the author shows how psychology deals in particular with religion and how today it influences the understanding of religion by expanding »spreading« man's subconscious and the realisation of new psychological content hidden in man. In the second section entitled Religious expansion of the subconscious, the author investigates the work of American philosopher Joseph Murphy. Starting from Murphy's esotery in his own peculiar way he interprets the content of Christian belief that can be brought down to the disclosing and expanding the subconscious as an act of universal energy which, for him, is God himself. This belief responds precisely to that which can be called transpersonal religiousness. In the third section, entitled Joseph Murphy and transpersonal religiousness, the author presents his judgement about this topic. Joseph Murphy speaks about transpersonal and esotheoretic perceptions of Christianity, God, Jesus Christ and man. That speech can be interesting and attractive nevertheless it isn't common in Biblical and Christian speech
Bi-Static Sense and Avoid System for Drones: Signal Design
In the context of the Bachelor Graduation Project at the Delft University of Technology Department of Electrical Engineering, we have been tasked with a project to design prototype of a bi-static radar. This thesis describes the waveform design of a bi-static radar system and its implementation with Software Design Radio, SDR for short. The radar system can be mounted on delivery drones and used to detect other drones and obstacles to avoid collisions. The thesis focuses mainly on the radar waveform design. In addition, the thesis provides analysis of the radar system performance and system implementation with commercial off the shelf SDR. A proof of concept has been realised by means of simulations using the open source software GNU Radio Companion
Unambiguous Recovery of Multistatic SAR Datafor Nonzero Cross Track Baseline Case
A wide-swath synthetic aperture radar (SAR) image is known to be achievable by merging multistatic aliased data that is collected with an appropriate along-track displacement. However, in terms of both flexibility requirements like potentiality of both along-track and cross-track (XT) interferometry and design requirements like orbital safety, etc., a XT baseline is not only demanded but also unavoidable. In this work, a method is proposed in order to merge SAR data to recover the Doppler spectrum unambiguously for the nonzero XT baseline case. The algorithm is compared and validated by simulating an azimuth invariant multistatic SAR satellite constellation. The results are promising in terms of dealing with XT baselines.Microwave Sensing, Signals & SystemsMathematical Geodesy and Positionin
