No full textIris 2.4 is a final extra release of Iris 2, which back-ports specific desired features from Iris 3 (not yet released).
The purpose of this is both to support early adoption of certain newer features, and to provide a final release for Python 2.
The next release of Iris will be version 3.0 : a major-version release which introduces breaking API and behavioural changes, and only supports Python 3.

No full textThis is a post release which only introduces explicit package pins for cf-units=3.0.1 and cftime=1.5.1.1.
This is to avoid cf-units>=3.1.0 and cftime>=1.5.2 being stalled with iris=3.2.1, as this combination introduces a known issue which has been resolved in the forthcoming iris=3.3.0 release.
Note that, all features for this post release are the same as iris=3.2.1
