Les relations entre Sehwan Sharif et l’Indus dans le Sindh
No full textJusqu’au xixe siècle, l’Indus a fait la fortune de la petite ville de Sehwan Sharif, située au centre du Sindh, au sud du Pakistan. Aujourd’hui, le fleuve n’est plus un élément la caractérisant. Ce chapitre retrace l’histoire des relations fluctuantes entre la ville et le fleuve, jusqu’à l’effacement actuel des références directes à l’Indus dans la société locale. C’est donc l’histoire d’une mise à distance, tant physique et économique que cultuelle, que cet article tente de retracer. Il s’attache notamment à montrer comment le culte de l’Indus, à travers sa manifestation divine Udero Lāl, s’est transformé avec le départ en Inde de la communauté sindhi hindoue. À travers ses relations avec la figure sainte qui domine actuellement à Sehwan, le saint soufi La`l Shahbāz Qalandar, nous montrerons également comment cette dernière a fini par l’englober.Up to the nineteenth century, the Indus made the fortune of the small town of Sehwan Sharif, located in central Sindh, in southern Pakistan. Today, the river is no longer the characterizing feature of this locality. This contribution traces the history of the fluctuating relationship between the town and the river up to the present day, where any direct references to the Indus in the local society have vanished. It is therefore a narrative of detachment, both physical and economical as well as ritual, which is considered here. We address specifically how the cult of the Indus, through its divine manifestation Udero Lāl, changed with the departure of the Hindu Sindhi community to India. Through the relationship to the holy figure which currently dominates in Sehwan, the Sufi saint La`l Shahbāz Qalandar, we will also show how the latter has come to encompass the deity of the river.انیسویں صدی تک، اندس نے سیہوان شریف، مرکزی سندھ کے جنوبی پاکستان میں مقیم ایک چھوٹے شہر کو آباد اور خوش قسمت بنایا - آج اس دریا کی کوئ اہمیت نہیں ہے ۔ اس باب میں شہر اور دریا کے بیچ کا تبدیل ہوتا ہوا رشتہ، بلکہ ختم ہوتا ہوا براہ راست سیاق کی نشاندہی کی کوشش کی گئ ہے ۔ اس طرح یہ ایک مسافت تاریخ ہے چاہے وہ جسمانی ہو یا معاشی یا فرقیت، یہ مضمون ایک کوشش ہے اسے سراغ لگانے میں ۔ یہ اس بات کو دکھانے میں مخصوص اہمیت دیتا ہے کہ کس طرح سے اندس کے فرقہ میں، ادیرو لال کے خدائ کارناموں کے ذریعہ، ایک تبدیلی آتی ہے جب سندھی کنبہ ہندوستان کی طرف روانہ ہوا ۔ اس کا جو رشتہ ہے ایک مقدس شخصیت صوفی اولیا لال شہباز قلندر سے جو ابھی سہوان پر غالب ہے، ہم یہ بھی دکھائینگے کہ اِنہوں نے کِس طرح پورے شہر کو اپنے گرفت میں لیا ہے
