Investigations into factors that affect the administrative and planning processon women participation in Nigerian universities have attracted the interestand concern of researchers, university administrators, educational plannersand stakeholders in educational sector in Nigeria. Different factors arecapable of influencing the administrative and planning process of womenparticipation such as home-school conflict, professional leadership styleand financial constraints. One research question was posed and four researchhypotheses were formulated while a total number of 120 femaleadministrators and planners were randomly sampled from four (4) publicuniversities in Nigeria. A questionnaire was designed and used to collectdata from the sampled respondents. Pearson Product Moment CorrelationCo-efficient and multiple regressions were used to analyze the collecteddata at 0.05 level of significance. The result shows that there was asignificant relationship among professional leadership styles, home-schoolconflicts and financial constraint at 0.543; 0.467 and 0.515 respectivelyand women’s participation in administrative and planning process in Nigerianpublic universities. It is, therefore, recommended that women should gain leadershipexperience on how to organize themselves better for effective contribution towardsadministrative and planning processes in Nigerian universities

The Random sampling procedure was adopted for the study. About four public universities were selected using simple random sampling technique. The population for the study consisted of two hundred (200) students in four (4) public universities in South-West, Nigeria. Fifty students consisting of thirty males and twenty female students were selected from each public university using simple random sampling technique. A self-constructed questionnaire tagged ‘School Related Factors and Internal Efficiency Questionnaire’ (SRFIEQ) was used, validated and the reliability coefficient was 0.81. The data collected were analyzed using inferential statistics such as Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression. The finding revealed that there was a significant relationship between School Organizational Climate and internal efficiency (r= 0.632). The finding also revealed the joint effect of school related factors (students/teacher, curriculum deficiency and school organizational climate) and internal efficiency (promotion rate, drop rate and repetition rate) of public universities students was significant F (3, 197) = 6.244, P< 0.05. The study recommended that educational planners and managers need to strengthen school monitoring and evaluation mechanism so as to improve access, participation and retention of students in the Universities.Key Words: School related factors, Internal Efficiency, Public University student,South-West, Nigeri

Motivation is one of the greatest challenges facing class-teachers across the globe because it influences teacher’s performance as well as satisfaction and thus the extent to which the school management is able to achieve its objectives and justify its existence. The study investigated the extent to which motivational strategies correlates with job satisfaction of science teachers in senior secondary schools in Ibadan metropolis, Oyo state. The study is a descriptive design of the survey. Two hundred 200 class teachers were randomly selected from the public secondary schools in Ibadan Metropolis. The teachers were drawn from 20 public senior secondary schools out of a total of 82secondary schools in Ibadan Metropolis. One research question and four research hypotheses were used for the study. A validated instrument guided the study with reliability coefficient of 0.72 were use. Data were analysed using Pearson Product moment correlation and multiple regressions. Results indicated a significant relationship between Attending educational seminars and conference and job satisfaction of science teachers in Ibadan metropolis, Oyo State (r= 0.635, N= 194, p < 0.05) ; revealed a significant relationship between attending of Workshop and in-service training programme and Job satisfaction of Science Teachers in public senior secondary schools (r= 0.643,N=194, p< 0.05) : both variables jointly explain 35.4% of the variance observed in Job satisfaction of Science Teachers in public senior secondary school and it was statistically significant at F (df = 3, 191) =34.394.There is the need to enhance the quality of science teachers in senior secondary schools. Most schools have qualified and experienced teachers who should be encouraged to engage in in-service training through sandwich programmes currently available in most universities. This must be supported by government and other employers of teachers. Teachers should be encouraged to attend conferences, workshops and seminars to polished and enhance their skills. Government should provide science equipment in schools and the laboratory should be properly equipped. More funds should be allocated to the education sectors of the country not only to provide training for the teachers, but to also develop facilities that would create a friendly environment

This paper examined the nexus between human resource factors and the employability of Educational Management undergraduates in Southwest, Nigeria. The study employed descriptive survey research design of correlational type and multi-stage sampling technique to select 1,201 300L educational management undergraduates and 154 educational management lecturers in the eleven universities that offer educational management in Southwest, Nigeria. A self-structured questionnaire titled ‘Human Resource Factors and Employability (HRFEQ’) was used to collect data for the study. Findings revealed prevalence of a low level of employability of educational management undergraduates in areas of competence (x? = 2.355) and attitude (x? = 2.434) and that the level of human resource factors in terms of lecturers’ classroom management abilities (x? = 2.376) is also low, but high in the area of lecturers’ attitude (x? = 2.624 ). Thus, the study recommended regular supervision of educational management lecturers’ classroom management by the National Universities Commission (NUC) with the aim of improving their competence in this area, among others
