from the arrival of migrants in post-Cold War years, in particular whether to provide safety to migrants within the country. Japan used to be ‘a country without migration’ until the 1970s, but from the 1980s onwards has been in transition to be a key destination for international population movement (IPM). This paper surveys the literature on Japan’s international
relations, examines theories of IPM, and describes the history of modern Japan focusing particular attention on its experiences of international migration. If Japan did not provide a safe environment for migrants, that would be questionable as being a differential form of
treatment. What obstructs the provision of safety is a world view informed by an atomistic view of international relations and an understanding of history which is only focused on a limited time period. In contrast, what can contribute to reducing such a barrier will be a
combination of natural law thinking, a relational view of international relations, an understanding of history with a time frame over several decades, and a recognition that current IPM is a reflection of Japan’s economic power in the neighbouring regio

İstanbul şehri esas alınarak elde edilen veri tabanı modelinin, KKBS destekli cep telefonlarında çalışabileceği öngörülmüştür. IMIN adı verilen yazılım, kullanıcının ulaşmak istediği bilgi doğrultusunda, şekillenen interaktif arayüzlerden oluşmaktadır. İstanbul’u ziyarete gelen mimarlara yönelik tasarlanmış olan yazıılım; İstanbul’un tarihi, İstanbul’un mimarisi, İstanbul’ da gezi planı, İstanbul ’da sosyal ve kültürel aktiviteler ile İstanbul hakkında yararlı bilgileri içeren beş ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Kullanıcı, veritabanı içerisinde yer alan statik bilgilere ve çok merkezli olarak güncellenen dinamik bilgilere erişebilmektedir. IMIN yazılımının, ilerleyen yıllarda sanal gerçekçilik ve yapay zeka çalışmaları için alternatif bir model önerisi olarak geliştirileceği düşünülmüş ve model yapısı esnek tutulmuştur.In this study by examining the Multi Resolution Spatial Databases and GPS supported navigation systems, it is aimed to study an alternative database model with a purpose of familiarizing the city to the architects. It is foreseen that the database model generated based on Istanbul city can work on mobile phones with GPS support. The software called IMIN is consisting of interactive interfaces which is formed according to the data retrieved by the user. The software which is specifically designed for the architects visiting Istanbul is to be made up of five major parts; Istanbul s history, Istanbul s architecture, a sightseeing plan for Istanbul, social and cultural activities in Istanbul and useful information about Istanbul. User can access to static data in the database and dinamic data which is updated multi layered.
