Praesphaerammina, a new genus of Cenozoic deep-water agglutinated foraminifera from the Carpathian flysch deposits
The genus Praesphaerammina Kaminski and Filipcscu is newly described based on a revision of the type species Cystammina subgaleata Vasicek 1947. The genus differs from the Holocene genus Sphaerammina Cushman 1910 emend. Loeblich and Tappan 1964, in possessing a less embracing final chamber and in its interio-areal to areal aperture that lacks any tooth. The definition of the subfamily Sphaeramminae is accordingly emended as well. The genus is common in the Eocene of the Carpathian flysch deposits, but the type species Praesphaerammina subgaleata (Vasicek 1947) is also observed in the Caribbean region and West Africa, where it ranges into the Miocene
NICOLAE FILIPESCU ȘI CONSERVATORISMUL IDEALIST
Nicolae Filipescu was a conservative, action-oriented politician who pleaded for idealism in politics. His belief was that the era of liberal mimetism could only be overcome by a true idealistic reaction, which meant deeply assuming an ideal in politics, not just the option for a change in the surface of public life. He is one among the few Romanian authors who claim that politics of the idea is more important than the policy of deed, and that means a party policy that has the right philosophy and morality. However, Filipescu's idealism is vitalist, Anglo-Saxon orientated and does not deny the idea of material success, but on the contrary
A look over the microhistory: the Filipescu boyars from Drajna, Prahova county
This paperwork shows a piece of history regarding a boyar family, Filipescu, from Drajna, Prahova County. The reason of our choice was that we need to rediscover the past of our aristocrats in a region that was considered to be the attribute of the free peasants.
The aristocratic families that lived in this area, Filipescu, Balaceanu, Macovei etc. had a great influence on the inhabitants, their deeds being remembered by their vassals.
We have used in our research, instruments of oral history, such as the interview and the photography, and regarding the field of interest, this paper-work can be integrated in the area of local history. We tried to show how influential the boyars were in the community, taking into consideration both positive and negative aspects.
For this study, we have used primary sources, the manuscript of a descendant of the Filipescu family, Dumitru Kretzulescu-Warthiadi, agricultural engineer, the holder of an impressive collection of documents. We have also seen secondary sources, for example the volumes of Nicolae Iorga and Dumitru I. Brezeanu Teisani, Documents from the Teleajen Valley

Simulation of the ELIGANT-GN array performances at ELI-NP for gamma beam energies larger than neutron threshold
Performance of the ELIGANT-GN array being developed at ELI-NP was evaluated using dedicated GEANT4 simulation code. The array is designed to consist of 17 LaBr3:Ce and 17 CeBr3 detectors as well as 33 BC501A and 29 6Li-glass detectors. The energy and time responses of the detectors were studied giving information on gamma and neutron absolute detection efficiencies of the array. A planned day-one experiment regarding the gamma and neutron decay from GDR in 208Pb is discussed and, based on simulations, the data analysis procedure is proposed. The detection efficiencies as well as the count rates estimations are presented
Aspects Regarding the Determination of the Law Applicable for Natural Persons
Determining the law applicable for natural persons has special importance in the private international law, considering the way in which this legal institution is regulated and influences other institutions of private international law, like: law embezzlement, renvoi, public order, legal document with a foreign element, civil offence, etc. National law systems include various regulations regarding the determination of the law applicable to natural persons, consequently the international private law had to find solutions for achieving a compatibility between these systems.natural person, citizenship, domicile, personal law, national law, capacity

Clypeina bucuri n.sp. and Clypeina lucana n.sp. (green algae dasycladales) from the Uppermost Paleocene (?)- lower Eocene of trentinara Formation (Southern Italy)
The Clypeina assemblage from the uppermost Paleocene (?) - Lower Eocene beds of the Trentinara Formation ( Southern ltaly) are grouped into three morphotypes (M1, M2 and M3) according to the degree of calcification, size and shape of their articles. Atypical intraocular migration of Angiostronglus vasorum
INTRODUCTION. Angiostrongylus vasorum is a nematode which usually inhabitsthe pulmonary arteries and right ventricle of wild and domestic canids (Morgan et al., 2005 Trends Parasitol. 21: 49-51). Clinical manifestations vary from insidious and non-specific signs (mostly respiratory and neurological manifestations) to fatal cardiopulmonary insufficiency (Ferdushy et al., 2010 Parasitol Res. 107: 765-71). In extremely rare cases, larvae can migrate through the host’s body and reach atypical tissues such as the anterior chamber of the eye, but the mechanism of migration is still unclear (Colella et al., 2016 Parasit Vectors. 9: 161). This report describes the case of two intraocular A. vasorum specimens in an 18-months old dog living in the countryside of Terni, Central Italy.
MATERIALS AND METHODS. The patient was referred for an ophthalmological examination due to the presence of two motile parasites in the anterior chamber of one eye. The medical historyshowed that hehad several episodes of recurrent cough in the past. Physical and imaging (thoracic X-ray and ultrasound) examinations were carried out, along with a complete hematobiochemical analysis and modified Knott test. The intraocular parasites were surgically removed and preserved in 70% ethanol for morphological and biomolecular identification. Serum and aqueous humor were tested forantigens of Dirofilaria immitis (SNAP 4DX Plus, IDEXX, Westbrook, US) and A. vasorum (AngioDetect, IDEXX, Westbrook, US). A stool sample has been examined using the Baermann’s method.
RESULTS AND CONCLUSIONS. The intraocular parasites where morphologically consistent with metastrongylid and identified by PCR as A. vasorum. Both serum and aqueous humor yielded positive for AngioDetect test, and larvae of A. vasorum were retrieved at the Baermann’stest. All tests for D. immitis were negative. Thoracic X-ray and ultrasound showed findings compatible with angiostrongylosis, i.e. areas of subpleural lung consolidation. This clinical case demonstrates the importance of including A. vasorum in the differential diagnosis of canine ocular diseases. Furthermore, an update of the current epidemiological distribution of A. vasorum in Italy would be of great help for local vets towards appropriate diagnostic, prevention, and treatment approaches for angiostrongylosis
