Writing a Wikipedia Article on Cultural Competence in Health Care
This article describes how librarians created a Wikipedia article on cultural competence in health care to support the medical school’s curriculum. Wikipedia, often considered not as reliable as scholarly articles, continues to be popular. Rutgers librarians conducted a Wikipedia project to improve its content to benefit students. The importance of cultural competency in health care is widely recognized due to increasingly diverse patient populations. Medical schools integrate cultural competency in curricula to train students to be culturally competent. Therefore, this topic was chosen for the Wikipedia Project. It is hoped that health sciences librarians and educators will benefit from their experience

Antiinflammatory Effects of Bu-Zhong-Yi-Qi-Tang in Patients with Perennial Allergic Rhinitis
Bu-zhong-yi-qi-tang, an ancient formula of Chinese medicine usually used in the treatment of allergic diseases, was evaluated in the treatment of patients with perennial allergic rhinitis. In this study, 60 patients allergic to house dust mite allergen confirmed by skin test and MAST test were recruited and randomized. An experimental group of 36 patients was treated with Bu-zhong-yi-qi-tang, whereas a control group of 24 patients was treated with a non- effective formula Ping-wei-san for 3 months. The nasal symptomatic scores and the responses of polymorphonuclear neutrophils (PMN) to IL-4-stimulation were measured after treatment. The nasal symptomatic scores in the experimental group were significantly improved (3.78 +/- 0.09 before treatment vs. 0.57 +/- 0.06 after treatment ). In contrast, no change was found in symptomatic scores in the control group (3.17 +/- 0.12 before treatment vs. 2.79 +/- 0.14 after treatment). Moreover, total serum IgE and the IL-4- stimulated production of PGE(2) and LTC4 by PMN was significantly suppressed in the experimental group after treatment compared to the control group. The COX-2 mRNA expression in IL-4-stimulated PMN was also significantly suppressed after Bu-zhong-yi -qi-tang treatment. These results suggest that Bu-zhong-yi-qi-tang but not Ping-wei- san was beneficial to the patients with perennial allergic rhinitis via suppressed nasal inflammation by an antiinflammatory effect. Siu-Hung YuThis book examines the intricate relationship among trade and investment policies, as well as environmental regulations, especially for developing economies. Trade liberalization via tariff reduction and market reforms has contributed significantly to the growth of the world economy. Nonetheless, one may wonder if free trade can continue to be a key factor sustaining economic growth and improving environmental quality. Under free trade, capital-abundant developed countries that produce capital intensive goods tend to emit more pollutants. This is the thrust of the so-called factor-endowment hypothesis of pollution. However, the costs of abating pollution are mounting in environmentally conscious nations due to the adoption of tougher environmental standards. The increased production costs have prompted firms in the developed nations to relocate to developing countries (the pollution haven hypothesis). Households in developing economies are mainly concerned with meeting basic needs and thus attach greater importance to issues about jobs and income. This book contributes toward understanding these issues. The impacts of pollution taxes and environmental standards on employment and social welfare are examined, the design and coordination of optimal trade, investment and environmental policies are analyzed, and their policy implications, such as aid-nature swap and backward incidence of pollution control, are provided. Finally, optimal trade and pollution policies are investigated and compared under certain and uncertain situation

Systematic palaeontology of marine carboniferous fossils from Bukit Buchu, Terengganu, Peninsular Malaysia / Tang Hung Yung
Bukit Buchu has been known for its well-preserved Carboniferous marine fossils. In this
study, six detailed geological mapping localities cover the western and eastern hillsides
of Bukit Buchu. Three fossiliferous horizons were identified at the eastern hillside, but
the western hillside yielded no fossil. The Bukit Buchu sedimentary sequence is
informally called Bukit Buchu Beds and is estimated at more than 1100 m thick.
Seventeen species of marine invertebrates were identified and described. These faunas
include one new genus and species of Cyclida, Malayacyclus terengganuensis Tang et
al., 2021, a species of coral, Cladochonus sp., a new species of trilobite Linguaphillipsia
buchuensis n. sp. and fourteen species of brachiopods, Argentiproductus aff.
margaritacea (Phillips, 1836), Antiquatonia sp., Brachythyrina (Brachythyrina) sp.,
Eomarginifera sp., Hustedia sp., Leptagonia analoga (Phillips, 1836), Linoproductus sp.,
Oehlertella sp., Pleurogpugnoides sp., Podtsheremia cf. thomasi Roberts, 1971, Pugilis
sp., Punctospirifer cf. pahangensis Muir-Wood, 1948, Rugosochonetes sp., and
Vitiliproductus aff. gröberi (Krenkel, 1913). The fauna is determined as Visean age (Early
Carboniferous). Bukit Buchu Beds is best correlated to the Charu Formation instead of
Panching Limestone based on the interpreted geological age, faunal affinities, and the
lithostratigraphic data. During the Early Carboniferous, the East Malaya Block was
located close to the Indochina and South China blocks near the palaeoequator. The new
finding suggests that the Visean marine environment of East Malaya and Indochina
blocks is the migratory route for brachiopods and trilobites from the Eastern Tethys to
Australia in the southern region
