V magistrski nalogi je predstavljeno koncipiranje in snovanje rotirajoče razstavne ploščadi za avto. V prvem delu je izdelan zahtevnik, na podlagi katerega se je izdelala funkcijska analiza. Nato so predstavljene konceptne rešitve delnih funkcij. The master\u27s thesis presents the concept and design of a rotating exhibition platform for a car. In the first part, a check list was made, and a functional analysis was made on the basis of the check list. Then the conceptual solutions of partial functions are presented. Based on the solutions of partial functions, variant concepts A and B were created. In the second part, the design of the selected concept is presented. As part of the design, a numerical analysis of the supporting structure of the central segment was made, as well as the determination of the drive power and prestressing force of a spring

In this thesis we will discuss the layout of the experimental area and the analysis of the performed measurements of the temperature field of halogen and LED car fog lights. Measurements were made with type J thermocouples, which were attached to the LED fog lamp and halogen fog lamp. Lamp was hung on a stand that was designed and manufactured as part of the thesis. When cooling the fog lamp on a stand, it can be assumed that the case is cooled by natural convection, which makes it easier for us to determine the boundary conditions in the case of numerical simulation. Under steady-state conditions, when the fog lamps were connected to the rated voltage, the fog lamps were recorded with a thermocamera, which shows the temperature field. The results of thermocouple measurements were processed and plotted and compared with one another

The vanishing author in computer-generated works: a critical analysis of recent Australian case law

Abstract The use of software is ubiquitous in the creation of many copyright works, yet the requirement in copyright law that every work have a human author who engages in independent intellectual effort means that its use may prevent copyright subsistence. Several recent Australian cases have refocused attention on authorship as an essential criterion of copyright subsistence, and these cases suggest that much computer-produced output may be authorless and thus lack copyright protection. This article, the first in a two-part series, analyses how each case deals with the question of authorship of computer-produced works and why the use of software diminishes copyright protection for a significant number of computer-generated works. The article critiques the application of conventional notions of human authorship developed in the pre-computer age to modern productions and suggests alternative approaches to authorship that satisfy both the major objectives of copyright policy and the need to adapt to the computer age. The article argues that, without a broader judicial approach to authorship of computer-generated works, Parliament must remedy the lacuna in protection for these ‘authorless’ works. Possible solutions for reform are suggested. In a forthcoming article, the author comprehensively examines those reform proposals

The Department of Journalism, Film and Television in partnership with the UJ Library invites you to a discussion with Jani Allan, the author of Jani Confidential – A Memoir About the book: Those who remember the Just Jani column in the Sunday Times will be intrigued and delighted. Those who missed out on those heady times will be captivated by this universal story of betrayal, back-stabbing and life in the very fast lane. It is acerbic, witty, wry, bittersweet and exquisitely penned. She describes how she became a columnist, and reveals much of life behind the scenes at the Sunday Times. Jani shares details of the crucial interview with Eugène Terre’blanche, details that will shake the preconceptions and ruffle more than a few feathers. Jani’s reputation is reduced to tatters when she takes on UK’s Channel4 in a law suit that reverberated around the world and kept the public baying for blood. But in all this we are able to see the real Jani Allan behind the fabulous brittle creature that the tabloids tore to shreds and devoured and then spat out. Facilitator: Dr Ylva Rodny-Gumede, University of Johannesburg Date: 16 April 2015 Time: 16:30 for 17:00 Venue: Auditorium (6th Floor), APK Library, University of Johannesburg (corner Kingsway and University Road, Auckland Park) RSVP: By Friday, 14 April 2015 to Theodorah Modise on [email protected] / 011 559 226
