As a result, public space in Bandung has become an empty landmark. Many questions have been arising regarding history is still a significance basis to build a city center image. This paper tries to visualize an ephemeral aspect of the city, seen differently through the time. A durational installation artwork is created by the author to convey an artistic critic that describes a destruction process of water to a soil, as a symbol of time that decays the meaning of Alun-Alun Bandung

ABSTRACT: In a city it is the most complicated creation, taste, intention, and human work throughout civilization. The city can be regarded as a crowded place and inhabited by heterogeneous (diversified) people in terms of livelihood, religion, customs and culture. On a network of custom houses with high population with socio-economic strata. The physical characteristics of a city vary greatly but the physical characteristics of a design city must have economic facilities such as markets or supermarkets, adequate parking space, recreational and sports venues, squares, government buildings, Kudus is the city with all its beauty . Of the 35 cities and regencies in Central Java, Kudus has an area of 425.5 sq. Km. One of the most unfortunate ones is the open space or open space that can be used publicly. Kudus city has an open space which is also owned by other cities, namely the square which is one of the landmarks that exist in the sanctuary. Being in the middle of the city makes this Kudus square always crowded in the place of people from various cities because almost all the way is centered to this square. Various elements which is the most important element in the arrangement of urban space. OBJECTIVE - : Atherosclerosis begins early in life and obesity is a key determinant. We investigated the role of body mass index (BMI) and height from infancy to adulthood in presenting with high adulthood carotid intima-media thickness. APPROACH AND RESULTS - : Odds ratios of BMI, and height Z scores at 2, 4, 6, 7, 11, 15, and 20 years, and changes between 2 and 4, 4 and 7, 7 and 15, and 15 and 20 years, for carotid intima-media thickness at 60 to 64 years in the upper quartile were estimated for 604 men and 669 women. Confounding by early-life environments, mediating by body size and cardiometabolic measures at 60 to 64 years, and effect modification were investigated. In men, there was positive association of BMI at 4 years (odds ratio, 1.256; 95% confidence interval, 1.026-1.538) and 20 years (1.282; 1.022-1.609), negative association of height at 4 years (0.780; 0.631-0.964), and negative association of height growth between 2 and 4 years (0.698; 0.534-0.913) with high carotid intima-media thickness. The childhood estimates were robust, but the estimate for BMI at 20 years was attenuated by adjustment for BMI at 60 to 64 years. The protective influence of greater early childhood height was strongest in those with the lowest systolic blood pressure at 60 to 64 years. In women, there was no pattern of association and all confidence intervals crossed 1. CONCLUSIONS - : Early childhood in men might be a sensitive developmental period for atherosclerosis, in which changes in BMI and height represent 2 distinct biological mechanisms. The maintenance of healthy weight in men from adolescence onward may be a useful strategy to avoid the atherosclerotic complications of adiposity tracking.</p

From a linguistic point of view, short stories are classified into the type of discourse. Therefore, the tracing of everything on the authors’ intentions can be done through linguistic approaches, among them through discourse and pragmatic analysis approaches. Furthermore, since short stories also classified as works of art (literature), so a semiotic approach can be relevant to support the approaches of discourse and pragmatics analysis. The data in this study comes from the text of a short story titled “Alun-Alun Seribu Patung” by Danarto.  The data was obtained by using observation method through recording technique as a basic technique and note-taking technique as an advanced technique.   Through text deconstruction, at least there are 16 derivative text constructions selected as the data which reflect the association of  the short story with the political reality at the reformation and post-reformation periods (1998—2006). The description of data becomes the clues that actually the author pragmatically did a number of actions, namely reflecting, associating, predicting, evaluating, and criticizing something related to the political and natural events during the reformation and post-reformation periods
