    Neunkanodes unispinatus sp. nov. (Figs 26–38) Measurement. Length of body 2.35–2.60 mm (male), 2.80 mm (female); including forewing 4.15–4.50 mm (male), 5.05 mm (female); forewing length 3.95 mm (male), 4.20 mm (female). Coloration. General color reddish brown. Median line of frons, vertex, pro- and mesonotum, commissural suture white. Areas between carinae of frons somewhat blackish brown. Abdomen somewhat dirty yellow to reddish brown. Pygofer brown. Head and Thorax. Vertex longer submedially than wide at base about 1.1: 1, apical margin distinctly emarginate at both sides of median point, lateral carinae concave, submedian carinae not really uniting at apex, basal compartment greatest longer than width at base about 0.9: 1. Frons longer in middle line than wide at widest part about 2.5: 1, widest at level of ocelli, median carina simple. Post-clypeus wider at base than frons at apex, moderately long, longer than half of frons. Antennae reaching over frontoclypeal suture, basal segment longer than wide, shorter than second about 1: 3.5. Post-tibial spur with 23–25 teeth. Tegmina longer than widest part about 3.7: 1. Male genitalia. Anal segment of male with lateroapical angles widely separated, each produced in a huge, stout spinose process. Pygofer in profile distinctly wider ventrally than dorsally, at caudal margin strongly produced caudodorsad in a large plate-like process, with 2 small tooth at apex, in caudodorsal view opening longer than width, with a long, spinous process at medioventral, apical margin slightly concave medially. Phallus somewhat compressed, long and tubular, L-shaped and strongly bent ventrad, broad at base, abruptly narrowing to apex, with one slender, long process arising from dorsal margin at basal 1 / 3, directed ventral. Diaphragm broad, dorsal margin with a node protruding cephalad to supporting phallus, ventral margin with a thumb-like process directed caudad. Genital styles very long, slender, sinuate, divergent apically, quadrate at base, abruptly narrowing at basal 1 / 3, laterobasal angle with short, spine-like process, distinct at lateral view. Type material. Holotype ♂, CHINA: Yunnan Province, Pianma (26 °03’N, 98 ’ 24 ’E), Lushui, Nujiang, 17–19 Jun. 2011, lamping, collected by J.-K. Long. Paratypes: 1 ♂, 3 ♀♀, same data as holotype. Host plant. Unknown. Distribution. South China (Yunnan). Remarks. This new species is similar to N. bispinatus sp. nov., but can be distinguished from the latter by the following features: anal segment each produced in a shorter and slender process; pygofer at plate-like process of caudal margin with 2 small teeth-like processes at apex, with a spine-like medioventral process; phallus with one slender and longer process at basal 1 / 3; genital styles basal angle with shorter process. The structural features of male genitalia of this species are distinctly different from other known species in this genus. Etymology.     Analisis Peranan Budaya Kerja Jepang yang Diterapkan oleh Ekspatriat dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Karyawan Lokal (Studi pada PT Hou-Tech Indonesia)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan budaya kerja Jepang yang diterapkan oleh ekspatriat pada PT Hou-Tech Indonesia dalam meningkatkan kinerja karyawan lokal. PT Hou-Tech Indonesia merupakan perusahaan multinasional asal Jepang dibawah naungan induk perusahaan Hou-Tech Co., Ltd. yang berada di Tokyo. Perusahaan ini bergerak di bidang manufaktur yang memproduksi berbagai macam jenis pintu dengan bahan dasar kayu. PT Hou-Tech Indonesia memiliki 3 orang ekspatriat yang menduduki jabatan top management, yaitu satu orang sebagai Presiden Direktur dan dua orang sebagai Wakil Presiden Direktur. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Metode analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah triangulasi (yang digunakan untuk mengecek keabsahan data), reduksi data, penyajian data serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 2 budaya kerja Jepang yang diterapkan oleh ekspatriat pada PT Hou-Tech Indonesia, yaitu Kaizen dan 5S (Seiri, Seiton, Seiso, Seiketsu dan Shitsuke). Dua budaya kerja Jepang tersebut biasa digunakan oleh ekspatriat pada saat masih bekerja di Jepang. Selain itu, ternyata budaya kerja Jepang Kaizen dan 5S juga sudah diterapkan di perusahaan induk, yaitu Hou-Tech Co., Ltd. Baik ekspatriat, manajer Sumber Daya Manusia maupun karyawan lokal menilai bahwa penerapan budaya kerja Jepang sudah cukup berhasil dan sangat berperan penting dalam menigkatkan kinerja karyawan lokal.     Regularity and well-posedness of a dual program for convex best C1-spline interpolation

    An efficient approach to computing the convex best C1-spline interpolant to a given set of data is to solve an associated dual program by standard numerical methods (e.g., Newton’s method). We study regularity and well-posedness of the dual program: two important issues that have been not yet well-addressed in the literature. Our regularity results characterize the case when the generalized Hessian of the objective function is positive definite. We also give sufficient conditions for the coerciveness of the objective function. These results together specify conditions when the dual program is well-posed and hence justify why Newton’s method is likely to be successful in practice. Examples are given to illustrate the obtained results

    Armijo Newton method for convex best interpolation

    Newton's method with Armijo line search (Armijo Newton method) has been practically known extremely efficient for the problem of convex best interpolation and numerical experiment strongly indicates its global convergence. However, similar to the classical Newton method, the Newton matrix far from the solution may be singular or near singular, posing a great deal of difficulties in proving the global convergence of Armijo Newton method. By employing the objective function of Lagrange dual problem, it is observed that whenever the Newton matrix is near singular at some point, one can easily [at cost of O(N), N is the dimension of the problem] find a nearby point which has a well-conditioned Newton matrix and lower function value. In this case, Armijo Newton method starts from this nearby point. We prove that this slightly modified Armijo Newton method is globally as well as locally quadratically convergent, and in an important case, it also has finite termination property. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method

    Boundary conditions with adjustable slip length for the lattice Boltzmann simulation of liquid flow

    The phenomenon of liquid slip has been studied by many researchers using the lattice Boltzmann method. However, boundary conditions for the lattice Boltzmann simulation of liquid flow are far from perfect and how to specify the boundary conditions for liquid flow with slip accurately is still a challenge. In this work, we introduce four widely used slip boundary conditions in gaseous flow into the simulation of liquid flow, two half-way schemes and two modified schemes. Theoretical analysis shows that all half-way schemes are equivalent in principle, so are the modified schemes. According to the equivalence of these schemes, these slip boundary conditions are improved by expanding the range of the combination parameters from [0,1] to [0,2] to surmount the barrier of limited simulated slip length. And the relations between the combination parameters and the slip length are deduced strictly in theory. The specified combination parameter is decided by the given slip length and the relaxation time. The discrete effects of these slip boundary conditions are analysed. If the grid is fine enough, the discrete effects can be ignorable and the local flow at the wall can be approximated as flow with linear velocity gradient. The accuracy and reliability of our method have been verified by the simulations of the Couette flow, the Poiseuille flow and the unsteady Womersley flow. The cylindrical Couette flow is also implemented to explore the possibility of simulating liquid flows with curved boundary
