Climate model results of Fram Strait and Greenland-Scotland Ridge gateway sensitivity studies of COSMOS in NetCDF format
Herein, we publish the simulated global annual mean temperature (THO), salinity (SAO), ice compactness (SICOMO), Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC), Global Meridional Overturning Circulation (GMOC), zonal velocity (UKO), meridional velocity (VKE), 10m u-velocity (u10), 10m v-velocity (v10), mixed layer depth (zmld), horizontal barotropic streamfunction (PSIUWE) and sealevel (ZO) over a time period of 100 years retrieved from equilibrium climate simulations for the Miocene (~23-15 Ma) and use different Greenland-Scotland Ridge (GSR) and Fram Strait (FS) sill depths as a representative for different tectonic settings that occur during the subsidence interval and utilized in the publication by Hossain et al. (2020). The climate data has been produced with COSMOS (ECHAM5/JSBACH/MPIOM/OASIS3), utilized at a resolution of T31 in the atmosphere (19 hybrid sigma-pressure levels) and a resolution of GR30 (bipolar orthogonal curvilinear grid, formal resolution of ~3.0°x1.8°) in the ocean (40 z-coordinate levels). The model setup refers to boundary conditions (incl. changes in orography, bathymetry, physical land surface characteristics, ice sheets, atmospheric CO2) representative for the Miocene. Details on setup and identifiers of Miocene model simulations can be found in Table 1 and Supplementary Table 1 of Hossain et al., 2020
The construction of Karen Karnak: The multi-author-function
This thesis is situated within the comparatively recent developments of Web 2.0 and the emergence of interactive WikiMedia, and explores the mode of authorship within a Read/Write culture compared to that of a Read/Only tradition. The hypothesis of this study is that the role of the audience has become merged with the author, and as such, represents new functions and attributes, distinct from a more conventional concept of authorship, in which the roles of audience and author are more separate. Read/Write and participatory culture, as defined by this study, is focused on collaboration, and includes the influences of D.I.Y. culture, Open-Source practices and the production of text by multiple authors. Multi-authorship presents a re-thinking of several concepts which support the notion of the individual author, since the focus of multi-authorship is not on attribution and ownership of a finished text, but on the continued malleability of a text. Modes of multi-authorship, demonstrated in the use of the pseudonyms Alan Smithee and Karen Eliot, represent declarative authors whose names signify multiple origins, whilst concurrently indicating a distinct body of work. The function of these names form an important context to this study, since primary research involves the construction of an experimental mode of multi-authorship utilising WikiMedia technology and the interaction of thirty nine participants, who are invited to create a body of work under the collective pseudonym Karen Karnak. The data generated by this experiment is analysed using aspects of Michel Foucault's author-function to identify and determine power structures inherent in the WikiMedia context. The interplay of power structures, including concepts such as identity, ownership and the body of work, affect the resulting mode of authorship and contribute to the construction of Karen Karnak, suggesting further areas of research into the emerging multi-author
Climate model results of Fram Strait widening sensitivity studies of COSMOS in NetCDF format
Herein, we publish the simulated global annual mean sea surface salinity (SAO), sea surface temperature (THO), ice compactness (SICOMO), zonal velocity (UKO), meridional velocity (VKE) and Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) over a time period of 100 years retrieved from equilibrium climate simulations for the Miocene (~23-15 Ma). We investigate the sensitivity of stratification in the Arctic Ocean to the widening of Fram Strait (FS) and different levels of atmospheric CO2 concentrations. The model data has been used in the publication by Hossain et al., 2020. The climate data has been produced with COSMOS (ECHAM5/JSBACH/MPIOM/OASIS3), utilized at a resolution of T31 in the atmosphere with 19 vertical layers and a resolution of GR30 (~3.0°x1.8°) in the ocean with 40 vertical layers. The model setup refers to boundary conditions (incl. changes in orography, bathymetry, physical land surface characteristics, ice sheets, atmospheric CO2) representative for the Miocene. FSD-FS
FSD-FS is a publicly-available database of human labelled sound events for few-shot learning. It spans across 143 classes obtained from the AudioSet Ontology and contains 43805 raw audio files collected from the FSD50K. FSD-FS is curated at the Centre for Digital Music, Queen Mary University of London.

About FSD-FS
FSD-FS is an open database for multi-label few-shot audio classification containing 143 classes drawn from the FSD50K. It also inherits the AudioSet Ontology. FSD-FS follows the ratio 7:2:1 to split classes into base, validation, and evaluation sets, so there are 98 classes in the base set, 30 classes in the validation set, and 15 classes in the evaluation set (More details can be found in our paper).

FSD-FS are released in Creative Commons (CC) licenses. Same as FSD50K, each clip has its own license as defined by the clip uploader in Freesound, some of them requiring attribution to their original authors and some forbidding further commercial reuse. For more details, ones can refer to the link.

FS cells also make a meshwork between the hormonal cells, making junctions among each other (thick lines) and extending foot processes (f) ending on the basal membrane (BM) in the periphery of the cord. The cords are surrounded by BM, which may have extensions between some cells. A second BM surrounds the capillary vessels and between these two some connective tissue resides. Small and larger lacunae are present between hormonal cells. Paracrine substances may circulate from cell-to-cell but also could be released in these lacunae and reach more remote places. FS cells make gap junctions mostly among each other, but occasionally also with some hormonal cells. Adaptive pulse compression for transform-limited 15-fs high-energy pulse generation
We demonstrate the use of a deformable-mirror pulse shaper, combined with an evolutionary optimization algorithm, to correct high-order residual phase aberrations in a 1-mJ, 1-kHz, 15-fs laser amplifier. Frequency resolved optical gating measurements reveal that the output pulse duration of 15.2 fs is within our measurement error of the theoretical transform limit. This technique significantly reduces the pulse duration and the temporal prepulse energy of the pulse while increasing the peak intensity by 26%. It is demonstrated, for what is believed to be the first time, that the problem of pedestals in laser amplifiers can be addressed by spectral-domain correction

Detection of estuarine benthic macroinvertebrates communities using artificial neural network
Aquatic ecosystems depend heavily on benthic macroinvertebrates for their essential functions. They have become an indispensable part of pure water bio monitoring due to the widespread recognition of their capacity to recognize many kinds of anthropogenic stresses. A waterbody’s biological health can be determined by estimating the diversity and abundance of benthic macroinvertebrates. Macroinvertebrate biomonitoring depends on the manual identification process, which is time-consuming and expensive and requires highly qualified taxonomical experts. This research examines the effectiveness of the Artificial Neural Network (ANN) for the automatic detection of benthic macroinvertebrates. This study has investigated the prevalence and absence of fifteen species of benthic macroinvertebrates in a tropical estuary environment to enhance the extraction of information embedded in benthic macroinvertebrate data for assessing community dynamics. The station number, month, pore water salinity, and pore water pH are used to assess the detection of benthic macroinvertebrates employing Multilayer Perceptron Neural Network (MLPNN). It has been found that the accuracy rates of MLPNN in the prediction of fifteen species are very promising. The suggested model can be utilized to recognize macroinvertebrate species with high accuracy, and the resultant model can outperform manual taxonomist identification.No Full Tex
Fault Current Limiter Controller for the Protection of Inverter Based Distributed Generation
Power systems are becoming more vulnerable to different faults due to high current. This threat is increasing day by day due to the shift of power system from conventional generation to power electronic-based distributed generation. Such inverter-based distributed generation (IBDG) system is adopted to integrate different renewable energy sources especially solar photovoltaic (PV) to the grid. In this work bridge type fault current limiter (BFCL) has been suggested as a solution to the fault problem in IBDG system. The BFCL is connected to the AC side of the IBDG system and a proper controller is designed and implemented to control the reactance of BFCL. The voltage at the point of common coupling (PCC) is used as input of the BFCL activation controller. Outer controller loop is proposed for controlling the DC link voltage of IBDG, where an inner current controller is designed for controlling the power exchange between AC and DC sides of the IBDG. Both the balanced and unbalanced faults are applied in the AC side of the IBDG system to demonstrate the effectiveness of the suggested controller. A great improvement in the system performance is observed with the proposed fault current limiter based control strategy. The proposed strategy is also compared with the traditional control strategy and it is observed that the proposed one outperforms the classical one.No Full Tex
