A major decision was that Hope College be raised to a University & that the corporate name & style of our Institution be changed from that of Hope College to Hope Haven University. Pres. Phelps would then resign and be reappointed as president of Hope Haven University. It was reported that a farm had been purchased for the establishment of a Scientific Department.
